The staff at Nexus are by far the most caring, respectful and understanding people I've ever met in the field of addiction and it's quite clear that they work there to actually help the patients and make a difference in our lives rather than just looking to collect a paycheck. This is not the best choice for your senior parent or loved one…read more The atmosphere is dry, old, and hasn't changed in 10 years. The equipment is often old and not working properly. Found myself peeling away sheets of lint from the AC filter in parent's room. Rooms floor was sticky and made that shoe snap when you walk thru it. There were several good people and nurses but this never overcame the poor intake process and persons lack of ability to assist from the start. If you choose this center for rehab and senior services, be very vocal and keep good records. They don't like complaints however and appear to try and move parent out to avoid it versus offering the care being paid for and most would consider normal.

I had other therapists that bleed me dry with talk therapy which just reinforced my negativity and kept me in the repeat rinse mode of problem solving. Susan uses a variety of different techniques ( Rapid Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, role playing ). Some of her wisdom comes straight from the Torah, and she is not a religious person ( neither am I). I am just stating how creative she can be.
