I would absolutely never use this service. I called two hours prior to my appointment to schedule a taxi. When I called due to not showing up at my scheduled time, they said there were no cabs available. I cannot understand why they would book my appointment and never tell me that no one was coming. Took a cab from Oklahoma to Stillwater back in October and I had a very bad experience. Not only I was overcharged, but the cab driver refused to stop when I notice he was going to rip me off. Additionally, the doors were locked in such a way that I would have been unable to open the door even if I wanted to jump off the cab. I was scared for my safety. I've always used Yellow Cab. You call and they show up. All 8-10 times the same. Very solid. But I decided to roll the dice and see if Thunder Cab was any good. It was atrocious. Dispatcher welcomes you with a surly hello. Is this Thunder Cab I ask. Yeah. Promises the taxi will come at 4 pm to take you to the airport. 4:13 and no taxi. In the meantime five yellow cabs have passed on the street. Dispatcher picks up and says 'hello' nonchalantly. Oh...the taxi will be there in twenty minutes. But I told you I needed it at 4 pm I protest. 20 minutes he says and hangs up. 4:18 the driver calls. I'm five minutes away he says. 4:25 I call the driver back. Five minutes he says. Where were you five minutes ago I ask? I'll be there in five minutes. Where were you when you said five minutes seven minutes ago I press. Bricktown. Where are you now? 3rd and walker. Great. Now I've 30 minutes behind schedule and I need to make a flight. I flip out my phone and try to Uber app. A friendly driver gets there in three minutes. After 25 minutes of frustrating outside in windy and freezing temperatures, the heated seats in the Uber car were heaven. read more

Coming from the airport they say that it's a minimum of $35 to take their cab but they don't tell you that it starts off at $35.00 and ends up being $75.00 for 20 miles. This is so wrong to do this to people. read more

Tired of being left at the hotel without a cab. Three times I have ordered a taxi at the front desk the night before and when the taxi shows up in the morning a few minutes early, someone else gets in the cab and drives away. The taxi drivers should verify the name and room number of the customer before just taking off. I am going to start using uber instead. I have some colleagues who use it and say it is great. read more

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. This week I took one of their cabs from the airport to Edmond, about 20 miles and 25 minutes. I was charged $91.50! I called the company the next morning for an explanation of the ridiculous charge and they had the driver call me later that day to try and explain why the charges were so high. His "explanation" was that I have choices. For example (his example), if I had taken a helicopter home it might have cost $1000 so he was actually a bargain! Last night I took a cab from the airport around 11pm. I asked him to take me to the Residence Inn Bricktown. I realized I actually needed to go to the Boeing facility next to Tinker and corrected this before we got onto the freeway. The driver then proceeded to go all the way to the Residence Inn area instead of taking I-240 back towards Tinker, the most direct route. When I realized he wasn't going to Tinker (I'm new in the area and thought maybe he had a better route). I told him again that i needed to go to the Boeing facility near Tinker. He seemed completely lost and didn't even know how to get to Tinker from Bricktown so I had to give him step by step instructions along the way to get to my destination. I do not think it fair to pay the full fare ($81!!) recorded when the driver wasted my time and was lost. read more

They seem to like to Rip off tourists. Got a cab from the Hilton Srikin to the airport ~4:30 AM. The Concierge tole me it would be ~$25. Cab took ~25 min to show up. A creaky van. Didn't use a meter , charged $38 , I gave him a 20% tip = $45. When I got home I chked and the fare estimator for Thunder Cab came back as $31 including a 15% tip for moderate traffic (there was no traffic). I passed this on to Thunder & they said the next time I was in town the trip was on them via email, no name attached. Since I don't travel to OKC I asked for the difference between actual fare and what was charged. SILENCE. It's Ok for them to rip off out of towners. This is by far the worst cab service to call. The driver was sketchy to begin with. Got dropped off at location. Not even 2min after drop off, had to use friend's phone to call because i left phone in cab. The driver said that if i wanted it back, i'd have to pay $20. My fare was $12.75. Thats almost double what i paid. He just wanted to pocket my money for my phone! Called diapatch & they said they would have the driver return phone. Said shouldnt have to pay $20. Well, waited for a call back & still no phone. Dispatch then changed and said that the driver can charge. WTF?! Thats extortion. Also borderline theft. They bend you over and don't even offer lube or a reach around! First off let me say that I do not use Uber or lift due to the fact they are cab companies and do not pay the permits and taxes that cab companies are forced to pay. That gives Uber and lift an unfair advantage and is very unethical. With that said. I got a cab at the airport after my late night flight arrive. My hotel's shuttle had ended for the night so it seemed the best option. After getting in the cab he informed me that there is a $40 minimum from the airport. My hotel is less than 3 miles from the airport and shouldn't be more than 10 bucks with a mark up. The driver told me that Uber/lift is taking their business and they are in hard times. I feel this is extortion not having any other opinions I had to pay the 40 bucks. I told the driver my stance on those app services and that the Tom fuckerey that they doing by extorting my hard earn money would make me down load those apps and never use any cabs in okc. Driver was nice enough and I know it wasn't his fault but I feel that they are taking advantage of people especially people who do not use app transportation. read more

I live in Florida and called Thunder Cab to pick up my 82 year old mother in OKC for a show downtown. Driver was great and so was the original dispatcher that I placed the call to, but when they were suppose to pick her up at the end of the show I called dispatch and asked if they picked my mom up. The woman dispatcher said that she would place the request and the driver would be sent. I asked the dispatcher if she could let me know when the driver actually picked her up and was told very abruptly "NO, we're not baby sitters." I told the lady that my mom was 82 and this is hard for her to navigate on her own but the lady said it wasn't her problem. WT*!!!!! read more

They lack customer service skills from the drivers down to the owner of the company. I pre-paid a ride for my mother for a week. The driver she received was very rude and called her fat. The mother had issued getting in the vehicle. The driver told her if she wasn't so fat than she wouldn't have problems. He also call her a fat a$$. I called twice on the same guy and nothing was done. I called and spoke with the owner Jaffer about the situation and he goes on to say that he know his driver and doesn't think he done that. He goes on and saying the driver barely spoke English and how he knew him very well. He advise they would not refund me for the additional 3 days that she did not use there service. He told me that he will speak with the driver and get back with me by the end of the day. I never heard back from the owner. I ended up calling the next day where they owner was very rude. The owner tells me how he is still waiting to hear back from said cab driver. I ask him about the lack of customer service on his behalf due to lack of apology on the 1st call and his willing to debate a customer on service they received. He tells me how you cannot rent from a rental car place and received refunds so the same applies for them. As an employee of a rental car place of 11 years if there an issue with service they will refund and/or some kind of accommodation for this misunderstanding. He goes on to tell me that is not true. The owner voice gets louder and he will not let me get a word out. He than apologizes but made sure I know that my mother received the service. He tells me I am acting like my mother was left stranded. I am only seeking reimburse for the 3 days my mother did not used the service. He said that is not how a business operates. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use this place for taxi service. My mother is disable elder woman. There is no reason she should have to deal with discrimination from anyone. I will be reported this company to America disability Act and Better Business Bureau. read more
