Guy who owns the store with his wife was very helpful in helping me find some train toys and related accessories for my little nephew. Like other posters have mentioned they are very honest, knowledgeable and patient. The store has a fair selection of toys that are reasonably priced from what I saw but what sets them apart is the service. I was looking for rare Hot Wheels cars and was directed to a different brand. More larger and unique cars based from real life, I had to get them. Pleasantly surprised when I entered Playful Minds. Both shops are like night and day... Playful Minds is the bright, sunny, happy place, ideal to bring your kids to. While the other, "Terminally Ill Toy Store, Queen of the West" is the dark, deathly night where trolls follow you around without a peep, hoping for a reason to chase you away ...or eat your children, I'm still not sure what their deal is. I will definitely shop here again and suggest my family and friends to do so as well, maybe even people I don't like very much.

I always stop by this place as it's a few stores down from Anh Dao. My boyfriend likes to come here and check out the trading cards, specifically the cabbage pail kids! They have a wide selection of them, the vintage ones being $20 and the cheapest ones (newer versions) being $5. Huge shoutout to the owner Shawn (sorry for incorrect spelling) and Troy! They were super kind and we had a nice chat while I was browsing the trading cards.

As well for the photo booths, they also have a shelf area with props and dress up items for you to use which is nice. Staff are very friendly and helpful in assisting with your purchases. It may be a bit confusing at first but there are small order sheets for the artist alley and you can mark down the artist code and their item number and the staff will grab the corresponding items for you when you cash out. Also very happy that Mr surprise has a point system for purchases because those blind boxes add up!!
