You would be wise to look at their stock online and do in store pick-up, the capacity of the store is very small like it's rough to have more than 5 customers browsing. There's a phone # on the door to call to be let inside. Which is pretty reasonable considering the amount of expensive merchandise and small capacity. Employees are very helpful! Since there's so many figures nothing is physically priced so you will probably end up using your phone to reference their website the whole time you are there. So if you're planning a trip check their stock online first! From what I saw the inventory is accurate and you will have a easier time knowing what you want already. Pricing is mostly retail sometimes a little inflated but considering you are in Canada and won't have to pay international shipping you can get some pretty good deals on rare and high demand figures. Also they have a fee membership program that gives you a nice % off. They also have a pretty big selection of gatcha and other anime merch which was a nice surprise ^^

Unfortunately, the store has been having issues and has a bit of a ... stink. They advised that they'd had the problem looked into over the summer, but hadn't been able to clear the smell. Shame about that. If you're looking for unusual giftware and especially unique greeting cards, this is your place. The range of items is very impressive, including the inks, wrapping papers, bags, pens, erasers, notebooks, and all kinds of other stationery items. Same for stamps, stickers, etc. The great part is that there is very little overlap between the merchandise here and the goods carried at the other shop more or less across the street, so it's always worth your while to hit both. There is a $10 minimum for purchases on plastic (whether debit or credit) but the service is pretty good and I always end up finding something I want and love. Love coming here every time I'm in this part of town.

With interesting stuff everywhere you look in this store, L&M is what helps make up the cultural fabric of Queen St.

The small shop has a variety of stationary, cards and unique gifts (candles, incense, chopstick holders, scarves, jewelry) for everyone. I've been coming to Hanji for a long time and never fail to find something I like there - whether it be for a birthday or anniversary. im not sure why this place has set themselves up in the way that they have. you walk into a…read morecramped room thats filled with accessories piled on top of each other, wrapped in bubble wrap, or paper, on basic metal shelving units. theres no sense of using the space, no sense of style, just the sense that theyve stolen all this stuff and are trying to get rid of it as fast as possible. im not suggesting at all that this is the case; thats just what their makeshift appearance made me feel like. as you walk in, hanging off the door and pouring outside it are little purses, bowls, trinkets, etc., that were imperfect and being sold at a very cheap price. their stuff ranges in style from cheesy pillows with sayings on them like "life is too short to drink cheap wine" or a banner with john lennon that says "all you need is love". its all cheap - like, no more than 50 bucks, so perhaps im expecting too much. i think there would be a few kitschy things i could pick up like an old wooden tool box for magazines for the bathroom lets say. or they had some mirrors that were wood framed and shaped like church windows or arches if you will. for a gag gift, a cheap gesture, a stocking stuffer type thing this place is pretty cool. (little addendum: i visited their website and it seems thats they are more wholesale, so this place must have been their warehouse, not a retail store.)
