The place looks like any other bowling alley the lanes weren't too close together and the building itself was very clean. There is a nice food menu and there's a bar inside. The website says they only served beers but I came to find out it was a full on bar there. Some of my friends got shots and mixed drinks made. We went on a Saturday evening around 7 and had a small wait but nothing too crazy. We had a party of 12 and was called for our lanes fairly quickly once everyone arrived. Here subbing for a long-standing team in a league. Thunderbird has renovated over the past year and it looks great. Good food, folks, and fun. ALWAYS! I've seen the owner a few times and he's cool. I think his name is Brian. Really hands on and ensures everything runs smooth. He introduced the rules of our 'new normal' succinctly and ensured everyone was following suit. Theres a new and improved game center, adequate bathrooms and lockers, and my league is still active so what more could I ask for? I recommend you check them out! read more

Came in here since I had a Groupon to use and the staff was very friendly. I called ahead of time to make sure there was a lane in case there were leagues going on. Took my daughter out for mommy/daughter time and was very pleased with the customer service. The counter person was very helpful and showed us how to set everything up. There was some remodeling going on, but the overall decor was nice and it was very clean in there. There were a bunch of lanes open. The woman also told me about their free bowling which was pretty awesome cause I Didn't know about it. Me and my daughter had a good time knocking pins down. Horrible management and customer service. I purchased a gift card online for my 17 year old daughter who took her 5 year old autistic brother bowling. I live 30 min away and get nervous with her carrying cash. It doesn't state online that snacks are not included, I purchased such a large gift card to cover food and admission, otherwise I would have purchased only enough for bowling and given them cash for snacks. When I called to explain to management and requested they refund only $10 out of the $50 balance just so they could get drink and snack I was told "it was impossible" to do so. My advice is to go to Bowlero instead. read more

This was a treat! I did a google/yelp search of bowling alley's in the area and choose Thunderbird as it was really close .This bowling alley brought back childhood memories. I appreciated the outdated decor and bowling alley smell. (seriously this was a plus for me) I took my bf here on a sunday afternoon as apart of his birthday weekend and we had a great time. We opted to bowl for two hours and we managed it get in 5 games ! It was a very good deal. I paid around $30. We only grabbed a soft pretzel to snack on as we were going to dinner but the menu prices seemed reasonable. There were a few kids birthday parties finishing up when we arrived otherwise the place was pretty empty. My only negative is the restroom needed some serious TLC. We'd come back. read more

I grew up going to thunderbird lanes and never thought I see the day coming hear to people being so rude. Need to hire people that actually want to work. It's a great bowling alley. Came here to bowl with my son my sister and my niece. The bowling alley was clean and customer service was good. In the summer they have special deals kids bowl free cant beat that. I will come again in the future because the location is great and it was a fun time. Wasnt crowded when we went which made it even better. I do recommend here read more

Only reason this is not a 5 star review is because of how ridiculous is it driving in Philadelphia and how difficult it was getting home from here. Anyway...this place was fantastic. Was here for a work event and could not have had a better time. I don't bowl that often but bowled the best game of my life (107). I didn't say I was good, haha. The "security guard" or whatever you wanna call him was an actual STALKER! I as an adult have never been followed around so much by an employee at a bowling alley. I was with a group of 3 people just catching up and trying to have a good time but he ruined it. The very large man was doing everything in his power to be rude and annoying yet didn't say a word to anyone else in the entire place not to mention they were way younger. As it got to closing time he was letting under age people in but was telling us to leave and to hurry up with our drinks. Not to mention there was trash on almost every table. How about you spend more time cleaning the alley rather than legit stalking and starring at me & my friends. Spend your money somewhere else!!! This place is NOT worth it. read more

The man at the front desk (might be the manager) who takes your reservation was extremely disrespectful and rude. I've had 3 encounters with him where he was not only unnecessarily rude but talked down to me and my family. I also witnessed him speak to his employees with complete disrespect. I had a great time except for the fact that I had to pay 5 dollars just for a cup for my drink. I went up to the snack bar and asked for a cup and they said they only sell them in packs and didn't have any left. I called in to try and make a reservation listed on their website. It was the PPP special, which clearly states "must reserve in advance, no walk-ins." I call in and tried to use this special. To which I was told I must call a day in advance. I informed him it does not say so on the website. Rather than honoring their websites coupon, he just said that is the policy. This is terrible customer service, to turn away money and add on caveats for people to use a coupon. It's not even about the coupon, it's about doing right by the customer. Just came in from bowling. It was pretty empty for a friday night. $11.95/per person for 2 games (shoes were included). It picked up after we were there for a while. Then they started to do that cosmic bowling thing with the lights off and music flowing. I have been there other times when it is packed. But this was nice for a chill night. Of course, they have all kinds of leagues (jr leagues too), casino night, and a bunch of other stuff throughout the summer. Also, you can reserve a lane in advance too. Great family place! It was fast, friendly and seemed more efficient than some of the other locations. They also have weekend special of $50 per lane for 2 hours, so if you have 5 people, about $14 for 2 hrs including shoes, great deal! They do need to get some lighter balls though, almost all were 10+. read more

It was an okay spot. Nice in the cut. We went on a Wednesday afternoon but they have late bowling with music and lights on the weekends. The day I went, there was construction going on which wasn't a big thing. I'm not sure if it was just the specific lane that we were in but the score and pins kept messing up number ours times.
