I come here 2-3 times a month, all the men under pour. I am not paying for a half ounce drink. I've called them out on it, and they tell me I'm wrong. They will pour half to 3/4 ounce drink for me, then pour an actual drink, ounce and half for the folk that come in who are not me. I'm a seasoned bartender, at least pour me what I'm paying for. I'm not asking for your friendship, I'm just asking for an ounce and a half drink. It would be 5 stars if I got an actual drink. Do better. Cant beat a restaurant/bar with some karaoke nights and nights where there's a DJ and an open dance floor. i have eaten here quite a few times, I had their pizza, wings and fries and everything was so tasty. The service was great and they had drink specials which is always great. I came another time on a Saturday night and they had a DJ with karaoke which is awesome because although I am terrible at singing, I love karaoke. The DJ played a lot of good hits and the crowd was a mix of all ages. I was just there to visit family from out of town. Cousin is in a wheelchair so she was good. I am also disabled, but I'm not in a wheelchair. I think the brick house needs to realize that just because you're not in a wheelchair doesn't mean you're not handicapped. As soon as the man came up to our table, I asked him if he could get me a lower chair as I am unable to get up on the big chairs. He told me that our group could move over next-door, whether lower chairs. I indicated that we're not moving just for me and He said we own next-door as well. At that point, I said no, I'll just leave. And this is why if you own next door and they have lower chairs, why would you have not offered me that chair instead of saying we all should leave to go there? I didn't get to get a drink or have food or understand the atmosphere because they decided it was OK for me to leave instead of accommodating somebody who is handicapped who needed a special provision Which was an easy one because I just needed a regular size chair. Totally disappointed in this restaurant for not being ADA friendly, and turning me out instead of accommodating me with a regular size chair that the other side had tons of that weren't being used. Absolutely disappointing and now I couldn't get to see my family who was leaving tomorrow to go back to Texas. You should be ashamed. If you had ADA issues and you're not in a wheelchair, I would not suggest going there as they have all high chairs and will not accommodate you with a lower chair. There is no handicap parking that's could see near the entrance. I've heard so much good feedback about how good their food is and the atmosphere and the bartenders are great. It is unfortunate that I did not get to experience any of that because the man who is serving us was OK with me leaving rather than getting me lower chair. read more

Coming in with low expectations, the Brick House pleasantly surprised me. Anytime a bar has Allagash White it's going to be a good night. It's a fairly big space with many TVs and a large U shaped bar. Service was solid and the music was at the perfect volume, transitioning from old to more recent music which kept everyone happy. The pizza was above average. We split a buffalo chix with bacon and a side of fries. The fries reminded me of McDonald's and brought back some fond memories. I will definitely be back to visit for more beers and a cheesesteak. read more

I came here with a small group from work. There are not many options in this area but we found a good one at Brick House. I tried the South Philly Pork Sandwich and it was delicious. My co-workers tried salads, tacos, and an Italian Hoagie and everyone said there food was good. The owner, Mr. Miller-walks up greets us shakes our hands& thanks us for coming in & seats us himself everytime and it's absolutely one of the reasons we drive up from center city at least once a week to eat and drink here. The food is great they've offered their entire delicious menu even through all of this his covid whackiness and the food is delish. Ours favorites are the pizza and garlic fries but they have an insanely abundant menu. The bartenders are attentive and conversational and you can view the tv's from anywhere you are in the entire bar making it an amazing sports pub. Very pouring managed. I stopped in last night to order a drink at the bar I asked for a vodka and ice tea when I got the drink, it was watered down with ice and I pacifically asked for no ice!!! The Brick House is a small bar conveniently close to work. Their food is solid, the staff friendly, and most importantly they have some awesome happy hour specials. We usually head over when the boss had a rough day or we want to celebrate a success. While the place can get packed, we usually don't have a problem grabbing a high top table or two. We order apps nearly at random and stick with the drink specials. We're mostly beer drinkers, so I can't comment on the bartenders mixing skills. I've noticed they have a pair of craft beer refrigerators in the back, but I usually go with what is on tap since I need to drive home eventually. They also have pool tables, but we are rarely inclined to use them (no one wants to beat the boss!). I was there yesterday and will be back on multiple occasions I'm sure. This place was recently changed to Brick House, and I ordered some take out pizza as I wanted to see what they were like. The dough was rolled though a machine and not hand tossed, but the pizza tasted quite good. It was a nice thin crust and crisp. The staff as they were not busy at all were able to accommodate my request for a topping not on the menu (meatball), but you could tell they were not homemade. Also asked for 1/2 broccoli which was skimped on. The main restaurant was nice and large with lots of TVs to watch the game. So after the bar few blocks away closed its doors. I desided it was time I had to find another bar close by. So I Tryed Brick house bar & Grille. I drove in parking lot on a sat night like 9pm, and knowing that this bar is in a shopping strip mall. Between the corners of grant ave and Academy roads. At that time of night you could not get a place to park. That's how packed this bar really gets. The crowds outside with many folks and the inside. Parked way up the street. Worth it through. When I got inside no where to really sit standing room only. But when you have good deals on beers like this place does I guess you can see why. The food was amazing and prices are cheap. They have karaoke night. All around this is a good. Bar. And look forward to coming back many of times... Especially with the Atmosphere is nice. read more

I stopped here with my party of 7 after a recommendation from a friend. I've been here in the past but for drinks only. Upon entering, we seated ourselves and a server came over with menus within a few minutes. The group took advantage of the Phillies game drinks special and ordered a bucket of 10 Coors light bottles for $20. We ordered a large selection of food including Asian & mild wings, steak Stromboli, Cuban sandwich, white pizza and fries. Everything was delish but imo the Cuban sandwich was the best. The sandwich was large, filling and came with sides of spicy mayo/mustard. The white pizza was a close second-if you like garlic you will love this pie. My only issue was I order the Portobello mushroom stuffed with crabmeat which was over $10.00. I thought I was getting at least 2 or 3 mushrooms. Instead it was one very small mushroom. This review is based only on my take out experience. I order something light, two large pizzas. The place looked nice from the pictures and had good reviews. I went in, there are two sides...one is a pure bar and the other side you can pick up your orders. The employees I spoke to were very nice and friendly. The food however, wasn't impressive. The pizza was really think, there was hardly and sauce and the cheese quality tasted cheep. One of the pizzas was buffalo chicken and the hardly put any chicken on it. Some of the rudest people to ever own a business. I know that this place rakes in the money and my measly $40 I might spend there in a night won't matter, but that does not give the employees the right to treat you like you don't matter. The bartender is completely rude and was heard making comments to her "regulars" that she doesn't need our business because she will make enough money with her regulars. She also stated that we do not own her. You would think we were treating her with complete disrespect. This bar has nothing special to offer so do not even waste your time or money. Was looking for a new pizza place to try out. Decided to give the Brick House a shot. they were relatively new in the area and I hadn't heard much about them. I ordered a large pie with half pepperoni and half sausage. The pizza was quite enjoyable. Thin crust. Crispy on the outside with just a little chew to it. Cheese wasn't overdone. Stringy when pulled, but not so overcooked that it slides off the slice. The toppings were laid out evenly, though not as plentiful as you may get in most places. The sausage comes in slices of Italian sausage instead of using sausage crumbles. Sauce was a little on the sweet side, but not so much as to be off putting. Also ordered the garlic fries. Wasn't sure what to expect. The fries were thin cut, similar to various famous fast food places. But they were drowned in the garlic sauce. The sauce itself actually tasted quite good, and was great for dipping your pizza crust in. But the drenching of the fries pretty much ruined them, creating a soggy, lumpy potato mess. I'd definitely give them another shot, but probably would skip the garlic fries. read more

Delicious food. The pizza is amazing. Thin and crispy. Just the way I like it. The buffalo shrimp was amazing. Not breaded and it tasted perfectly spicy and cool with the blue cheese dressing. The she-crab soup had lots of bits of crab in it and was creamy and good. The chicken BLT sandwich was toasted and the chicken salad had good chunks of chicken in it and the bacon was crisp. The pork roll and egg and cheese was also good. Salty pork roll with cheesy cheese with an egg on a soft brioche type bun. The buffalo chicken bites however were a little dry, but was still good. Came here last night with a friend. We came for a couple drinks between dinner and a movie. We came here because of its growing reputation for having a wonderfully large craft bottle menu. The menu doesn't disappointed, 4 pages of craft beer bottles and cans. I would like to see more seasonal choices. A man who I believed to be the owner was very friendly and talked beer with us.
