My sister, sister-in-law, and I went for lunch here yesterday since we always enjoy our meals here and this time was no different. I had the Pimento Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries and everything came out hot and tasty and perfectly medium. They had the Soup and Salad lunch combo and weren't thrilled about the French onion soup (wasn't hot) but thought the salad was very fresh. We also had the Zingers as an appetizer (garlic Parmesan) and we all agreed they were nice sized tenders and very flavorful (I'd add more Parmesan) and juicy. They even added them to their salads which they enjoyed, as well. Our waitress was awesome. Very friendly, helpful and attentive. Nice casual atmosphere with tvs for sports fans. Check them out! I visited Miller's Ale House on Valentine's Day for dinner with a friend. We arrived and the restaurant was very busy and we had to wait to be seated. I was told it would be about 45 minutes and we were seated within that time frame. The food was average. We started our meal with the 'potstickers.' They offer fried or steamed and we ordered steamed. The plate was loaded with delicious 'potstickers' and a sweet-chili dipping sauce. We both enjoyed the appetizer. My friend had a regular cheese burger with French fries. I ordered the grilled Salmon with vegetable medley and cilantro lime rice. The entrees were average and nothing special. The salmon was flaky and had good flavor. I was told that the French fries were tastier than the cheese burger. The overall value was good but the kitchen does not cook with flair or passion. I find that to be true with some franchises. The service was phenomenal and our waitress checked in with us periodically. She was very attentive and catered to our table making us feel very welcome. I am certain this was no easy task on such a busy night but our waitress handled the responsibility with no hiccups. The ambiance is what you would expect from a large sports bar/steakhouse. It was loud (it was a Friday night), the bar was packed to the gills with Eagles fans (post parade celebration- go birds!) and there were plenty of televisions. I would return to Miller's Ale House for a drink and a bite eat (perhaps just appetizers and wings) on the night of a big game but honestly the food is not going to "wow" anyone. Place used to be awesome. I took my family here last Friday and wont be going back. Appetizers took way too long. Drinks stayed empty almost the entire visit. We ordered 4 pasta dishes after waiting 45 minutes we told the server to just take it off the check. Magically the food showed up so we asked for to go boxes. When we got home and started eating it was so tasteless that we threw it away and ordered chicken wings for dinner. How do you mess up chicken parm? This place never bounced back from the Pandemic. Ate at the inside bar tonight. The service was the worst experience I've had in years at Miller's. I eat here a few times a month and I didn't recognize the bartenders working tonight. The bartenders were unattentive. The food seemed to take longer than usual to get delivered, but it was good. When our food did arrive, we had to ask for utensels and pepper. When the bartender Phil waits on us, we have everything needed for the meal right after we order. When I asked for the check, I waited 10 minutes for the bartender to take me credit card. They didn't have the snow crabs that was on the menu. They had one server for the whole area and when she bought out our food she forgot the Silverware so we was waiting to flag her down for Silverware for 10 minutes but before we got our food she was checking in on us like every 5 minutes. Everything about Miller's is something that I want to love. Their menu looks great and they have a good beer selection. But the food is some of the most subpar I've ever had...and this is on many, many different occasions. Someone always inevitably gets the Zingers, which it's fried chicken with sauce...my three year old does a pretty good version of his own. Why oh why do they always have no flavor and the sauce just seems watery. I've even looked for a sign that proudly states: "We do not use any salt in our recipes to help your blood pressure", but each time I fail to find it. What makes this sin even worse is their food is not and has never been what I would consider a sports bar price, they've always been in the upper echelon of price points. I ordered the mango habanero sauce again hoping for some heat which should be hard to miss considering the pepper involved. Today was my Birthday and I wanted a steak and a Cobb Salad and buffalo wings to go. Well that was the worst Birthday meal ever. If you want a stomach ache feel free to eat here. Miller's was never 4 stars but they use to be 3 stars. Miller's seem to get worse with each passing year. They've also taken things off their menu that I use to enjoy. Their chili was so good but that's gone. For soups, all they have is boring French onion. I'm starting to feel like Miller's is only good for those looking to have a few beers and watch whatever game is on. The food here taste like an after thought. Pork Osso Buco is "ok" but isn't exciting to the palate, it could use more flavor. I'll say this, the BEST thing on the menu is the Captain Jacks Buried Treasure dessert and I didn't order it this time. Other than that dessert (which seems to be the most consistent out of there food items), I don't want anything from here. The Tex-Mex Nachos were "ok" but nothing to go out of my way to get from them. The seafood options on their menu are a joke. The "35 Fried Shrimp" are small and greasy. The English Pub fish & chips are the same. GREASY! And the fish pieces are tiny. I substituted regular fries for sweet potato fries and they were GREASY too. Service is hit or miss here but I love the food and the drink specials. When I come I usually get the chicken wings because they are so good or a cheese burger, the burgers are huge! On my most recent visit I came for one of their weekly specials and had the ribs with french fries meal. The portion is a decent size and the fries are seasoned, my meal was very tasty. Each week they have a special meal on the menu as the daily special. Our waiter came over and his name tag said "Eddard Stark". My boyfriend immediately recognized this as a Game of Thrones reference. Ed was friendly and fun and came over a few times to make sure we were good on beer. I asked for the crispy cauliflower appetizer. It was good, but just a little too spicy for me. It comes with a side of ranch dressing for dipping. Even with the ranch, the spiciness was overpowering. Definitely one of my favorite vegetarian menu items, though. My friend ordered a Zingers Mountain Melt. It was brought to the table piping hot and looking fresh. Im a person that loves me some chicken wings and i used to go to this Millers because it was so close to my house. I dont know WHAT they did but the wings at THIS SPECIFIC MILLERS are terrible and tiny. But get this, cost the same amount as any other millers with actual wings. 3 of these are equivalent to 1 wing from almost any other millers. And it wasnt a 1 time thing, ive been here about 5 or 6 times since i noticed the difference over a span of a multiple months and every time i order wings. Always a great place for a great meal. It's usually not very crowded at all, but of course it'll fill up on a Fri or Sat night. The food is excellently prepared and the wait-staff are quick and courteous. Prices are average and not high at all. Good place for date night, or a night out with buddies. My son ordered the filet mignon medium rare it was pretty rare and a bit chewy but nothing too bad. The bill came and nothing was taken off for the inconvenience of my order. So we just paid the bill and left. We still tipped the waitress well because it wasn't her fault it sucked. I assume she told the manager and he just did nothing, not sure though. Didn't think it would be such a problem as the place was not more than a quarter full and maybe 4 people at the bar..‍ Took forever to get just water on the table. Had to eventually ask for the watered down strawberry margarita I ordered ( glass was 3/4 full of ice) at $8.99 a pop.. Waitress got kinda snarky when I complained about the drink..Food was just so so.. Really need to staff the place better. I don't know about other Millers but this one is the absolute worst. I swore not to ever give this establishment any more money but my partner for some reason loves their overpriced wings. I ordered on Uber eats 36 wings and was given the option to have it scheduled. I ordered at 745p and scheduled for 11p. The store had a closing time of 12a so everything was fine. Well at 10:55pm my order was cancelled. Not that I wanted to give them my money anyway but how inconvenient. This establishment is horrible.
