This corner covers a lot and could possibly cover a variety of needs and wants. There is a convenience store here with a small grocery selection that covers the needs. The rest is mostly wants. There is a cigar shop next to the convenience store. Moving on past that is the lounge. It's not a bad place but I'm usually picky with bars. We have a friend that loves to do karaoke and this was one of the more nicer places she's requested our presence for. Not a bad beer tap list and plenty of mixed drink options to pick from. The darts are a fun recreational activity here too. The restaurant I've been to before a few years ago. It wasn't bad. Typical diner fare here but enjoyable enough. We LOVE your store. We have been customers for 20 years. We don't smoke anymore, so only stop by for Alcohol and snacks. Why are your employees no longer wearing masks? They used to all wear them. I have a serious problem with this. All four employees behind the front counter had no masks on. One had a chin mask on with nothing covered. We are in a Pandemic and people are still dying from this. Please please enforce your employees to wear a mask like require your customers to. Quiet cigar lounge and shop on one side for the grown folks. A karaoke bar with dartboards, music and what not for the kids on the other. Both sides have excellent kitchens. I lived in Spanaway but moved to Olympia...I drive to Thunderbird because they stay open past like, 8pm. I personally love the place. read more

This review is not about the food, it has always been good. However the last two times I have tried to go there only one person has been working the front. She is the waitress, the cashier, the Busser and has to answer the phones too. People are waiting it line out the doors, I waited for over 10 minutes inline both times before I left and the line had not moved a bit. This is NOT the waitresses fault, she's running as fast as she can. This is either cheap owners or bad management. read more

The Thunderbird has recently opened it's new, larger convenience store right next door to the old location. They carry the standard Kwik-E-Mart type stuff such as candy, soda, beer, tobacco, and whatnot-- but the tobacco products are cheaper here than elsewhere due to store's location on a micro-reservation. This restaurant at Thunderbird is a traditional American diner. Inexpensive delicious comfort food. They have a wide variety of menu items from breakfast to dinner. So far I have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered. The service is usually quick, friendly and attentive. But there are occasions where it is not good at all. Our drinks were on point. I come here all the time but tonight's service was horrible. Our main server didnt pay us ANY attention. Passed our table mulitples of time and still said nothing ((long black hair)). Thanks to the server with black and blonde hair came to serve us ((paige))) she was awesome. read more

I go here every month with my Franklin Pierce cronies... We're nearly all always satisfied. A server didn't show up yesterday, so our one favorite gal, who usually for 7-8 of us doesn't even write our orders down, had the whole place to herself, and it was full..No the water wasn't refilled, but it was all good. I'm not impressed with their salads, so I don't eat them, but their chix fried steak..breakfast.. is the BEST. I had their apple pie the other day... IT WAS FABULOUS.. and I'm not an apple pie fan. This review focuses on the cigar lounge. The selection of cigars is top notch. I have been frequenting this establishment for more than a decade now, and can say I have not come across a better selection of cigars in the Puget Sound area. The prices are not as good as they brag about. There are no discounts that I can tell from the Indian Reservation status. The turnover of employees seems to be high, so there isn't a staff member knowledgeable to help a customsr needing advice about their cigar purchases. The lounge area is large and can accomodate dozens of patrons. The cleanliness of the lounge is lacking. The ashtrays are always overflowing, the carpet always in need of a good vacuuming, and the tables are always needing a good wipedown. The lounge seems to always be in disaray and in need of organizing. All in all, it is a good cigar lounge, just one with poor management. read more

My family and I come here often for breakfast & everything is usually great but today not at all. Upon entering the waitress tells us that it'll be awhile, no problem I guess there's only 1 cook there today. So it takes about an HOUR for our good. But the customer service was HORRIBLE. My dad found a long blond hair in his drink after being told there was no sweetened tea but previously there was? And I also asked for strawberry lemonade like usually but apparently no strawberry lemonade how does that even happen I don't know the waitress told my dad that's not her hair and shrugged it off! My sister and I got country fried chicken steak not that good my food was cold, my sister and I asked for no veggies but extra bread guess what no veggies and no extra bread. Tonight was our first time eating in the restaurant and it was okay... they only had one waitress during the dinner rush. Kind of confused by that. The food was fast but the waitress wasn't. I got the sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, garlic bread and soup. The soup was good, My steak was well done when I asked for medium-well but that happens, and the mashed potatoes were kind of lacking in flavor. The portions were pretty good though and the prices aren't bad! I got a bloody mary which unfortunately had a weird taste to it. It took probably 25 minutes for us to get our waters and then they were never refilled... that drives me crazy because I drink a lot of water. We had to go up to the counter to ask for to go boxes and our ticket because we had been waiting for quite some time. If I'm in the area I may stop in there again but I wouldn't be like "OOO let's go to that one place again!" If I wasn't close by. read more
