I applied to be a barista in training, I was accepted to work on the first day they put me on the smoke shop side which I was like uhm I applied for barista in training in my head but I tried to stay positive. They scheduled me for a 8 hour shift so when things I got slow I asked when I can take my lunch or how did they do breaks, that's when I found out they don't give out breaks or MANDATORY UNPAID 30 MINUTE LUNCH FOR 8 HOUR SHIFT. They considered down time to be a break but we were not allowed to be on phones and didn't give us enough time to at least eat. I still tried to be positive because I was like this is a easy job maybe it will be fine up until it wasn't, I felt that having a lunch would help recharge me but since they don't allow that I often hated going to my shift. Since day 1 I hated working here, I thought about quitting everyday. Also the owner and wife were quite rude and never there so it led to a bad first impression. The trainers begin to be rude later on I could tell they didn't have patience for me and today Friday Sept.27 I decided to tell them that tomorrow will be my last day after training for a week it just wasn't for me, and I wanted to stay because I confirmed I would be doing those shifts I wanted to live up to my word but then they told me to clock out and go home, didn't even get my tips and I made well tips that day or my paycheck so I will have to wait for the next paid period in 2 weeks. I then ask would u still like me to come tomorrow and they said no. So not only did I try to put my full effort into a 16.50$ job just to be fired but I felt I was mistreated and hope that me writing this helps future employees as well as the ones there realize that it's not a well work environment. read more

This morning I stopped in to purchase a pack of cigarettes . I've been supporting this shop for years and I choose to get my cigarettes at this place only and one time I asked for they're free later they told me I got to buy two cigarettes to get a lighter . At the moment I couldn't afford two pack of cigarettes so I asked could I at least have a match and the girl says no we don't have any matches . I'm like Wow! I was so upset I decided not to buy a cigarette and left . I guess being a loyal customer doesn't make sense in this world anymore . Use to be a loyal customer. They've removed the 12 Spirit colors. Ok. I understand change can be good. 3 weeks ago I forgot my atm & only had quarters--- I was told that would be the only time they'll accept my quarters.... ok, strike 2.... 2 weeks ago I wanted a carton but asked if I could get 8/10. I wanted to try a different brand... I was told they'll lose inventory & can't substitute; Meanwhile, the background is packed with solo packs... strike 3.... Not customer friendly. I have been a frequent customer for years I come by 2 to 3 times a week for a couple years now. I was treated like such crap today by all the staff. I had bought a vape and I made sure to try it out in front of the cashier before leaving to make sure it was good but it wasn't working. I just wanted to switch it out for a new one because the one I had was spitting fluid back in my mouth when I hit it and it also tasted burnt like it didn't have any flavor. So I walked away spending $ 25 and still didn't even get a working vape and money is tight now days I cant afford to just dump money and get nothing for it. There are so many options for coffee out there, but this has become my only stop. The coffee is amazing, strong, tastes like coffee, and is always prepared with care. I order a strange coffee but they never blink twice and always make it perfectly. Peyton is an added bonus because her kind and charismatic way is almost as uplifting as the coffee they serve. Terrible place to work. Since my first day I have been overworked with absolutely NO breaks. The owner will sit back and watch the employees on the cameras. He will only show up to bring new product, to criticize the work the staff is doing (but don't expect to be trained on anything you're supposed to do to avoid being yelled at), or to come get some coffee. There is no protocol for keeping things sanitary and the "checklists" that are in place nobody actually completes. Terrible, again TERRIBLE management and no respect for the workers. No work/life balance. This place will run you into the ground. read more

I love this place they have great prices that are just as good or even better than war pony in Tacoma but with a much nicer location that is easy to get in and out of, fast service, excellent tobacco selection, they also have food and drinks. Staff is always nice to. Not sure why there are some bad reviews I've always had really great experiences here and have been going for a few years. My dogs love it to because they get dog cookies when we stop by. read more
