Recently I had a friend ask me "What's the biggest fish that you have caught?" This question reminded me of the nearly 5 foot long shark I caught with this charter last year on 5/5/2015 (you can look at the few pictures that were taken that day on their website). Overall it was a great day of fishing. Captain Jeremy was friendly and knowledgeable, and he definitely put my group on the fish. We ended the day by catching 2 bull reds and my, personal best, 55 inch shark. The one thing I wish that they would change though is their prices. I wish they would just charge more and not accept tips (it would take the guess work out of the pricing, I mean who honestly knows the proper percentage to tip charter captains?) I have fished with Capt. Rick twice and had a great time. So much so that fishing with him has become a part of my travel plans when I go to Savannah. He is very knowledgeable and knows the area well and where the fish are biting. He's also personable and a lot of fun to hang out with. He's loaded down with all the equipment you need, including plenty of live bate. His boat is clean and comfortable and his main objective is showing his guests a good time. Not sure what the bad review is about, but if I threw one of his rods into the water, I would offer to pay for it without hesitation. Just completed another wonderful trip with Thunderbolt Charters. Capt. Rick and Capt Jeremy are both great guides who know the waters and the quarry. I go fishing with them every chance I get. They have top notch equipment and share their knowledge while on the water. Today I had my 2 small children with me and Capt Jeremy was great. He helped my 7yr old catch and land fish on his own. He also was terrific with the hook-n-pass for my 4yr old. I cannot recommend Capt Rick and Capt Jeremy enough. Great time. Capt. Rick was very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Went out at 7am in the morning. Fished for 4 hours, brought home a nice catch. 13 keepers with many more thrown back. Great time, great captain, on a nice boat with a brand new 250hp motor. He brought enough rods and reels that even when we broke line, he was able to just hand us new baited gear and we continued to fish while he repaired hook and line. While we fished he would test the water with different setups and if he found something was working he would rig us up with rods like he was trying and put us on fish. Great time, will be back. My boyfriend, 4 year old daughter and I went out with Capt Rick on 5/28/2017! This was the best fishing trip that I had ever been on! We all had a blast! My uncle booked this trip from atl, captain Rick Reynolds was very accommodating for us and added two more fishermen at the last minute bringing the total to four of us. Very knowledgeable and professional captain. We wanted a pile of fish for a fish fry. We ended with a pile of whiting and some awesome trout. We also caught a couple of sharks, starfish, and one that we never saw but put up a long fight. Captain Reynolds's boat and reels are all well maintained and top notch. I had the pleasure of fishing with Capt. Rick. He is quite knowledgeable of the local waters and fishing patterns. He has the perfect boat for inshore fishing. There was plenty of room but it was able to get into some pretty shallow spots. His gear was well maintained. He even took several photos for us to document our catch. Wonderful experience. Im a novice when it comes to fishing but captain rick was extremely patient with me. He knows the area well. We did a 6 hr trip and probanly wouldve stayed out longer had there not been a storm rolling in. Captain rick also cleaned all the fish we kept for us to take home. Awesome experience.
