this office is an awful place, terribly unprofessional, nasty dentist, and predatory business manager. I always leave feeling worse than when I arrived. Dr. Thurm makes me feel like I am subhuman and treats me like I am stupid and cannot hear. Thurm dental is very receptive to my gag reflex. I had put off going to a dentist because of it before I was introduced to Dr. Thurm. I had extensive work done, and I was put to sleep and over the course of 3 visits, my immediate dental problems were resolved. I am new to the area. I called this office looking to set up an appointment for a general cleaning. When I told them I was new to the area thinking that would make them want to earn my business, she quickly told me I would need two appointments to get a cleaning. When I told her about my busy work schedule she was not accommodating and said I would also only be able to get an appointment between 10 AM and 2 PM. They must be doing pretty well because when I told her I would have to call around for another place that is more accommodating she replied with OK no problem. She was generally rude the whole time, interrupting me every time I tried to speak, and also put me on hold for five minutes before the call even started. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Thurm for many years. He and his staff are all very friendly and professional. The dental hygienist is so gentle, as is Dr. Thurm when we need any work done. He has never pushed any unnecessary dental work on us, either, which I have experienced with other dentists in the past. My dentist. A skilled, experienced dental surgeon who was doing sleep dentistry (licensed dental anesthesiologist) and helping dental phobic patients while those radio dentists were still in school. I just left this dental office and this experience was one of the reasons why I haven't been to the dentist in so long. I repeatedly told them about my level of anxiety and fear. I felt belittled and treated like a child. The X-ray lady kept telling me she won't argue and fight with me as if that's why I came here. I'm SO disappointed at this experience. I wish I would have known about sleep dentistry years ago! If your dental phobia is real, Thurm dental can help. The only drawback is the cost, but, for me, it was worth every penny. I had more two procedures done, woke up and went about my day with no pain, numbness from Novocain or tears. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. read more
