So the actual dental care is top notch. When I moved to NJ I saw Dr. Lisko from 2014 to 2019. After moving to a different town, the 30 min drive to Collingswood became too much so I switched to a dentist closer to my house. Said dentist had no openings for a cleaning, so I decided to check if Dr. Lisko had anything available, which he did. I went to see him for a cleaning. He said his office is unwilling to see me and that he will officially release me after today's visit. He had the front desk get up the paperwork to release me- he made it very clear I am no longer welcome. It frustrates me that they willingly put me on the schedule to see him, only to have him dismiss me in that manner. This is a warning of sorts to current/future patients - just want to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. I'm hoping that their front office staff will only schedule people who the doctor will kindly see from now on. I wish I had just waited for my most recent dentist. read more

I really hate to give this rating, because I liked Dr. Lisko and found him very kind. In fact, I thought he was a great dentist until I very nearly had a tooth pulled for no reason on his advice. Dr. Lisko filled a cavity on a back molar for me, and it was still bothering me a bit, so I went back to have him check it out. He said there was a problem with the filling, and I would either need a root canal (which would last maybe 10 years), or have the tooth pulled. Since this was not the most critical tooth and a root canal is... well, a root canal, I opted to have the tooth pulled. He doesn't do extractions, so I made an appointment with an oral surgeon he suggested, for some weeks out when they had availability. In the meantime, my tooth continued to get worse, so I went to another dentist to see if they could pull it before I went on vacation. Here I was told, and I quote, "Lose a tooth for this? Is he out of his mind?" I did not need a root canal or extraction. What I needed was to have the tooth properly cleaned, as Dr. Lisko's hygienist had evidently failed to do, because the buildup was irritating the gums. Needless to say, I'm moving to a new dentist. read more

For me, going to the dentist is one of my least favorite activities, ever. I'd probably enjoy taking dancing lessons with my worst enemy on a garbage dump dancefloor over sitting in one of those dental chairs. Mostly, this is due to the fact that I've had some pretty horrible dental experiences in my life. One dentist started filling the wrong tooth, and when she realized what she was doing, she didn't fix the problem, but instead just started filling the correct tooth. The next dentist I saw was dumbfounded by the job she'd done and said the tooth was beyond repair. Root canals are fun, people! I did have a wonderful childhood dentist, and my first filling - done 18 years ago - finally fell out. Sneaky little sucker! I didn't even realize it until one day I noticed a curious hole that I'd never seen before. Then a few days later, the sensitivity came. I knew something was seriously wrong if I couldn't tolerate liquids. Dr. Lisko came highly recommended, so I took my scared little self in to get my teeth the help they desperately needed. What I really appreciated was that Dr. Lisko was very honest from the start; he told me what my options were, what exactly was going on with my teeth (in terms someone who did not go to dental school could understand), and even put my x-ray up on a big screen so I could see where the issues were. Nothing's more fun than seeing your cavity that way! He was gentle and calm and gave very clear, specific instructions about post-care and follow-up. I was impressed with him and his staff for their competence and friendliness and for the overall good vibe of the office. I even scheduled myself to come back - voluntarily! - in a couple of months for a cleaning. That must mean something! read more

I, like most people, don't particularly enjoy going to the dentist, but after not going to a few years, it was time to go. I looked online and found that a lot of people were happy with Dr. Lisko on Haddon Ave, and after two visits now, I can count myself among them. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming, and the doctor himself is very friendly. Unlike some other places, I've never felt like I was being scolded for one thing or another (which is why I used to not like going to the dentist in the first place). The office itself is extremely well located on Haddon Avenue across from the train station. It's just a short walk away from where I live. It's always been easy to get to my appointment and then the train to get in to work afterward. Thanks to Dr. Lisko and his staff, I don't really dread going to the dentist anymore. read more

Best Dentist, bar none. I've had a lot of work on my teeth for over 40 years. He is a true artist and takes pride in his work. The only dentist that does work on you as if it were himself. Never tries to talk you into procedures that are a waste of time and money. Very pleasant and efficient staff. I am moving cross country and one of the few things I'll miss from this State is Dr. Lisko. It will be hard to find someone else with his expertise that is so trustworthy. read more

Dr. Lisko is great. He never pressures me into a procedure up front but instead always tells me to think it over first. Whenever he's discussing options, he'll both explain to me what's going on with the X-rays as well as hand me a mirror so I can see what's going on. This is the best dentist I have ever had, and I've gone through quite a few. Having multiple cavities makes going to the dentist a dreaded experience; any new dentist looks into my mouth and sees dollar signs. Instead, Dr. Lisko will be honest about my situation. He did a beautiful root canal when I was 13 that has never caused me problems (I'm 27 now) and was gentile and sensitive throughout. I get really woozy with needles and I needed a bunch! I hopped around when he moved to New Jersey but now gladly make the hour long trek just to have a dentist I truly trust. Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. read more

I recommend Dr. Lisko only if you like pain and loud TVs. I was in great pain due to a dying tooth for over year, which was just resolved when I finally went to a new dentist. I I have terrible teeth. I mean 3 crowns and over 20 fillings by 28 terrible. I have never worked with a dentist that I was more pleased with. Dr. Lisko was a teammate in my fight to have my teeth at 50. He performed routine maintance on my fillings in order to reduce the likelyhood that small cavities would develop at the filling edges. He carefully discussed all my treatment options with me and explained the risks/rewards involved in each choice. He also has a fantastic staff and I never has any issues with billing or my insurance. They took care of everything. I've had a LOT of dental work with a LOT of dentists. I stayed with Dr. Lisko for 3 years and only left his practice because I moved to another state. I would absolutely recommend Dr Lisko to anyone. read more

I love Dr. Lisko!! I've been going to him since I was in high school. I hate going to the dentist and would probably just completely avoid it if I hadn't found an awesome dentist like him. He is very nice, gentle, and funny! He is always happy and like others have said he always comes off as simply very caring but never judgmental.
