I saw her twice a week and witnessed (and smelled, and tasted!) everything she created in that time, so I can attest to her awesomeness. Gillian's cooking enabled my boss to have stress-free dinner parties for friends multiple times a week, an activity she greatly loved. Our boss also had Gillian cook and freeze meals so there was always healthy food in the fridge for her or family, and she was able to do catering for parties. Gillian is incredibly adaptable. She's able to make such delicious meals that are so healthy, and can accommodate any kind of special needs. I watched her create dishes for vegans, vegetarians, pescetarians, low-acid, kosher, gluten free, dairy-free, nut-free, you name it, Gillian can do it. People raved about her tofu. Tofu! She's also able to make two options so everyone has something they can eat. She even made me a gluten free chocolate birthday cake with quinoa that was so good I froze the leftovers so I can have a piece anytime I want. And everything is gorgeously plated, and the kitchen left pristine. For three years I have enjoyed working in a place filled with delicious smells of whatever Gillian is cooking up that day. I have also really enjoyed knowing her, as she is a delightful, warm, and fun person to be around. I heard countless guests exclaim in delight at how delicious and beautiful the cuisine was, and on the occasions I was invited to taste, I also found myself with eyes widening, joining the the chorus of, "ohmygosh this is SO GOOD." Never in my life did I think I would hear so many people wax poetic about yams, but when Gillian makes her special mashed yams, you can't help but swoon. Gillian is an exemplary chef and indeed, a wonderful person. I cannot endorse her enough.

Only made possible because Gillian had the food completely under control. Her menu planning is superb, and above all flexible. Organic, gluten-free, lactose-free, nut-free, pescetarian, vegetarian, vegan and good ol' fall off the bone roasts; she has made it all (and I ate it all and then had seconds)! I go through withdrawal after having her citrus marinates and salad dressings - flavor town! The presentation is very professional. The dishes all work well together, and come with detailed instructions for serving, storing and reheating. She is a zen presence in the kitchen and there is no trace she was ever there except for the neat containers of scrumptious food. She makes healthy eating a pleasure with all sorts of creative side dishes (the grains and veggies - - I could make meals just out of the sides!) and can get down and dirty with amazing desserts. I found her on Yelp and the reviews and photos were all favorable. I sent a Saturday email, she texted on Sunday about doing a call. 1 hour later we chatted, picked a preliminary menu, over the phone from her vast selection of flavors, styles, options, nationalities, cultures. It was tough because everything sounded delicious. As we talked and shared our passion for food with strong flavor- none of this frozen, breaded, bland appetizer options. It was clear to me that Chef Renee was going to bring taste to the table. She did not disappoint! All of the guest noted how good the food was and we were never so happy to have leftovers! I was further impressed with how she immediately did a quick contract with easy electronic payment. We inked the deal and in 24 hours I had my catering dilemma solved. Without any contact she showed up precisely as agreed. She and her team went to work fussing over the layout and set up of every little detail. They seemed as excited about the party as we were! Every detail was provided for and the cheese board was to die for! The food quantity was abundant and the baked goods are addictive. I know why she sells thousands of the chocolate crinkles! You will never be disappointed using such a professional and talented caterer. I cannot wait to use Chef Renee again!
