Enjoyed a handful of Michelin star restaurants across the globe. That being said Chef Mike absolutely killed it for every spoiled foodie in our private dinner. Flavors were complex and drove my tastebuds crazy. If you want to experience top notch culinary skills in the comfort of your own home, this is the chef to do it with. Thank you for the amazing culinary journey chef!

I am so glad that I found Michael and was able to use his services. I thought that personal chefs were reserved for the rich and famous (and I am neither yet) but Michael was able to work with my modest budget and prepare a gourmet meal for my girlfriend and I this past Sunday evening. I was really just looking to surprise my girlfriend who does the sweetest things for me and since I have already cooked for her and taken her out to eat, I was racking my brain for other ways to surprise the special woman in my life who does so much for others and barely takes time to treat herself. Well, treating her to a home made meal prepared by Michael in her kitchen was a treat for her and one for me. Michael prepared a specialized menu, taking into consideration our diet restrictions and likes. He also was very accommodating in regards to time. His communication was also excellent. And the food was delicious! We will certainly use him again for larger dinner parties and get togethers or just when we feel like treating ourselves and don't feel like traveling to a restaurant. He thinks of the menu, does the groceries shopping, brings all of the supplies, cooks, serves and even cleans up. This meal was just as good as going to any fancy restaurant and we didn't have to move an inch. We couldn't be more pleased. Thanks again, Michael!

Some dear friends hired Michael for a birthday/Christmas present for our 12 year old son. Michael took the time to teach our son and explain the ingredients and what he was making. Michael dishes were absolutely beautiful looking and delicious on top of that. Our son loved the present and really enjoyed his multi course dinner. The desert, which our son really helped was a Zen Stone Garden made of passion fruit stones, red current stones and chocolate stones. What a presentation as it looked beautiful and the flavors just burst when you bit into them. Can't wait to have a larger party and have him again. So pleasant to talk to and can I say, Michael bringing all the dishes and cleaning up after himself was spectacular. He left as though he was never there. Can't say enough about our experience

My friends introduced me to Michael Patlazhan' divine way of cooking and I was shocked. Everything I tried was an amazing experience. The dishes had an excellent presentation. People should just try his art on their own, because it is difficult to describe with words what he creates. It is just marvelous. Like nothing earthly on his plates. Divine. Big thumbs up

If I was just able to give more stars... Michael went above and beyond our expectations. We celebrated a birthday with 11 friends and had Michael to cook for us a 3-course dinner with a dessert. I found Michael through Yelp and loved the creativity and uniqueness of his cooking, but I was truly speechless once he started to prepare everything in front of our eyes. Michael came with his crew 6 hours prior to cook all the ingredients so everything will be fresh. They brought with them everything! And their dishes and cooking products were spectacular! We had mushrooms in different textures for the first course that was phenomenal to look at and to eat. The second course was a "simpla pasta," but one of the best I have ever eaten. The third course was a branzino with cauliflower in different textures as well. Every dishes was so colorful and beautiful, and more importantly- tasted amazing!!! Then we got to the dessert. We had a variation of quality chocolate with ice cream, which he prepared right in front of us. He made everything from scratch. I really cant describe in words his beautiful work so i attached a few photos. Michael's attention to detail is unbelievable. He literally paints with the food on each plate and every single dish looks extraordinary. I love food and restuarants and my husband and I go out often, but we never had such an experience with food. I highly recommend Michael to celebrate special events!

Another great review for Chef Mike. He's at a pop up restaurant in Bushwick (AP Café). The honest truth is - I really dislike Brooklyn. Yes, I grew up there and yes, I know how much it's changed. That's probably the reason I dread going back. I go there only for special occasions (usually involving a friend). This past weekend, I made the trip to Bushwick - of all places! My reason? Michael Patlazhan. I honestly love his food and consider it an "experience". You don't eat his food to get full (but you do). You eat it to appreciate the beauty, uniqueness, and marvel at how in the world he came up with these ideas! I gather some friends and head on out to try his new pop up restaurant at AP Café - Thurs - Sun. only. What I find is a really bright white spot with a cool vibe at night. We sat down and prepared to go on a tasting journey. There was 8 of us and we had a lot of catching up to do, however, as soon as the food came out - it completely took over our attention. The textures, tastes and artistry of each dish was something to marvel at. We tried pretty much everything on the menu so here are my thoughts: Appetizer "The Woods" (Mushroom Appetizer) - HOLY smokes. I never expected to love this as much as I did. Yes, I love mushrooms but Chef Mike created 5 different textures! This set the tone for the evening so well. I would highly recommend trying this or at least getting it to share. You will not regret this. Pastas Ramp Bucatini - this was the clear favorite of my friends. Not only was it interesting in the flavors, we were fighting for the pieces of beans left over at the bottom. Spaghetti Alla Chitarra - deceptively simple. I went in thinking it's just spaghetti with sauce. I should've known better. It had a nice "kick" to it from the chili. I wanted the entire plate for myself. Black Garlic Rigatoni - this was a cool dish - not my fave out of the three - but nevertheless, it all got eaten and we ordered like 5 of it for the table. Entrée Arctic Char - you would be amazed at how many of m y friends never had this fish. This is one of my fave fishes (and I am NOT a fish fan). I usually hate the texture of fish but the cut was so thin and well prepared that it was a joy to eat. Wagyu Short Rib - I don't eat beef at all. My friends all ate this and said it was the best thing on the menu. I was so tempted to try it but didn't. Only a tiny bit of regret lingers. Dessert Caramelized Potato Skin Ice Cream - sounds weird but it was exceptional. Our spoons were fighting to get another bite as we shared. I particulary loved the meringue and I don't usually like that. Chocolate Texture - everything on this plate was hard! Like, super hard! That was the point I think. I hate working to eat my food so I gave up (and I was super full). Everyone that kept at it got to the soft middle in the textures and really enjoyed it. In the end, I really enjoyed my jaunt into Brooklyn. Chef Mike never disappoints. I would highly recommend you get some friends and go and try it out. Even a first date! You will have plenty to talk about - I promise.

My husband arranged for chef Michael as my birthday surprise dinner and the whole evening was deliciously wonderful! Being a vegetarian, I always have to settle for sub-par dinning experience at the finest of NYC restaurants but not this time. Both my appetizer and entree had unique flavors and fully enjoyed the whole meal. Hubby loved his fish entree too! We will definitely invite Michael again to cook for us and also highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fine dinning experience at home!

Michael absolutely made our wedding anniversary today extra special. He got here early, was very organized, the food was plated to impress and tasted amazing. He is very creative, very personable and easy to work with. My husband and I will definitely have him entertain for us again...next time with more people. We would recommend him with pride. Thank you for making our day.

We called Olivia after speaking with many caterers about about approach, cuisine and budget, and we were honestly getting a bit defeated. My first conversation with Olivia was so incredibly refreshing in that I told her we are trying to decide between tacos or barbeque and she responded with a very effortless, "why choose?". This immediately put me at ease as we started to brainstorm together. All other caterers were now subpar. She crafted a beautiful menu for us that included mini (single-bite) sized tacos as part of the hors d'oeuvres and an upscale barbeque with hometown roots for the entree. Our guests have not stopped RAVING about our food (strong accolades for the BBQ still rolling in from our Texas and Tennessee-native guests, so you know it was great!). We received a truly personalized experience with Olivia. She even stepped in to work with us directly when we had questions and get saleswoman was unavailable! From the first conversation through the tasting and our wedding, Olivia was one of our top vendors. Her saleswoman, Christina, was excellent at offering advice and ideas as well as suggestions from other events they'd catered (either at 501 or otherwise). On staff, Olivia also has a food design team member who created the most instagram-worthy displays! Definitely an added bonus. Would 10/10 use and recommend Olivia!

Jason is actually a classmate of mine from my hometown in New Jersey. I've followed him lightly on social media platforms through his culinary journey from birth of his unfathomable determination and skill to break out on his own - a self taught Chef running a full service catering company. Encompassing Private and Personal dining experiences in the luxury of your private home or event space, Chef Jason brings not only his complete professionalism, but also a mind blowing culinary exploration of perfectly balanced ingredients that not only touch each of your five senses, but envokes a feeling of complete bliss. Each dish is thought out with culinary precision and executed beautifully. You can taste each ingredient as it rolls around your mouth and tongue. Balanced with the simplicity of what brought this dish to concept. This culinary journey his menu takes you on is unreal. I have never worked for or with a more talented Chef, who's personal energy is calm and humble, and confident not cocky. We had a dinner party to celebrate a birthday and a divorce with 9 close friends. Chef Jason, his Sous Chef June, and our lovely servers Karl and Cara really made this evening special. Everything flowed seamlessly. Any anxiety I had walked out the door as soon as this team went to work. It was a quiet calm and focused energy. They also didn't mind me being in the kitchen watching and tasting and asking a million questions. I can not recommend enough Jason's Kitchen for your next event. Exceptional! Thank you Chef Jason and Sous June. You blew our minds away!
