I'll start by saying that I Know that Valentine's Day is historically very busy, but over half the tables in the restaurant were empty, and I've been in significantly busier environments where I still received a high level of service. We asked one question the server who was dropping off the food snapped at us and acted extremely irritated that we even addressed her while she dropped the food off. We asked for tea because we knew that was one of their specialties. The response that was snapped back was "no tea tonight, if you want drinks go pay at the bar, it's separate." The table beside us seemed to clearly be VIPs as the were in fact served several pots of tea. Course 3: chicken stuffed with liver. This was gross, not even edible. Course 4: leg of lamb with rice. Once again the meat was well prepared, but it here was almost no seasoning. The rice that came with it was undercooked and kinda tough. Course 5: It was listed as braised beef brisket, but it was just an unseasoned pot roast. I expected Mediterranean food to be presented with a significantly more interesting range of flavor profiles. Course 6: Baklava, really great! The layers were crisp and the flavor was smooth. All that to say, it wasn't anywhere near worth the cost, I went for a light dinner and only had the option of buying a heavy 6 course menu. I had no trouble entering my order, but was unable to pay because the kiosk's tap-to-pay wasn't working. So I dug out a physical card and tried swiping the card. That also failed. I got out a card with a chip and inserted that card, and finally was able to pay. About that time an employee came out and gave me a warm greeting. I also asked the kiosk to print out a receipt, which it failed to do. Nor did the employee provide one with my order. I asked the employee if I could get a cup and get my drink while my food was cooking, which he allowed (but hadn't offered). I noticed the peach and lemonade drinks were nearly empty (see my photo), but since I was getting a soft drink from the fountain it didn't cause me an issue. Their fountain isn't balanced and an excess of CO2 caused the dispenser to spit out mostly foam and it took a long time to fill my small cup. Speaking of which, a small drink costing $3.25 seems a bit steep to me, although the food items seam more reasonably priced. The dining room is small and all the hard surfaces and cheap metal chairs and stools makes for a cold, uncomfortable, and uninviting space. There is also a bar at the front window with stools. The food was surprisingly tasty. I had the gyro platter with feta and a side of tzatziki sauce added. The meat was very thinly sliced but good quality and a generous portion. The feta topping was pretty bland and unimpressive quality. The tzatziki sauce was good. The fires were crisp and nicely seasoned. The pita was the thinnest I've ever seen, but were soft. The rice was plump and almost creamy, nearly in a pre risotto state, and mildly seasoned and enjoyable. The whole meal was filling and one I would order again.
