Never asked if we needed refills or anything else. The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and untended, there was toilet paper laying around in the ladies room and wet floors. My husband said the men's room was even worse with a filthy sink and urine on the floor.The food we got was fairly good, we shared a Polo loco and it was tasty, though a bit tough. Our third time here and the food is always so good! The fajitas were LOADED and great for the price! The wings have been great every single time and really good homemade hot sauce on them! They have good quick service! The michelada was really disappointing though. Would definitely get a margarita instead. read more

Our favorite local Mexican spot. Great food at a great price. During the week they have different events at night from live music to a band. Their food is consistent and you know it's authentic when they have a menu only in Spanish on the back that's offered only on Saturdays and Sundays. We've ordered off of it several times! They are on several delivery services, but since it's right around the corner from us, we typically go in person or carry out. Randomly enough, the wing part of Mexi-Wing is worthy! My fiance LOVES their wings. I thought it was odd at first, but when we eat at the location, the majority of tables are ordering wings! It's crazy, but they are delicious! Christian has been our server EVERY time we've been there (and it's been a lot), and he's the best! Very helpful, nice, and great at what he does! We're thankful to have a consistently great Mexican restaurant less than 1 mile from us. Will probably order carry out tonight... this made me crave Mexican food! read more

I usually don't leave negative reviews but this particular meal definitely earned one. I ordered delivery and was eager to splurge for family night. We ordered over $100 worth of food and could only eat chips and salsa. The original order: Two chili burgers- burgers were burned and chili was scorched. 10 Jamaican Jerk wings- still bloody 10 Garlic Parm wings- fried hard, almost hallow Two chili dogs add slaw- No Cole slaw and the same scorched chili Tamale- Looked like a tamale cut in half. All of 2 inches long. Chili relleno- This was actually really good other than swimming in water and grease. BBQ pork sandwich- good but dry again, no slaw Ranch dressing was hot and watery. Breaded chicken sandwich- Was actually one chicken finger on a huge bun. I will not be ordering from here again. I received half of my money back but still had to make a run to McDonald's. read more

I was very hesitant to try this place due to the reviews. But I decided to give it a try with a delivery service on a Sunday Football night. I ordered the wings with lemon pepper and a queso dip. Their chips were not my favorite brcause I prefer them softer. The queso dip was vey good, it didn't get thick and gross while getting cold. It kept a nice silky texture. The wings were super meaty. The seasoning was not overpowering and the BBQ sauce on the side had a great smoky flavor. The jalapeño poppers were still crunchy when they arrived and they were not too spicy. I used Dinner Delivered app, the food took less than an hour to arrive, it was extremely well packaged, the order was exactly as I requested it. It was still really nice and warm when I sat it on the table too so this was a double win! Delicious and fast. Since relocating from Memphis, I've been trying to find a wing place that satisfies me. In Memphis, we use WHOLE wings for hot wings, usually for the SAME exact price as the party wings Chattanooga sells for about $2 a piece. Mexi Wings exceeded my expectations. I don't even care that the wings are party wings. I order 15 or 20 Extra Hot wings with Lemon Pepper seasoning on top! They're absolutely amazing! The wings are always fully cooked. They're always a nice size for party wings. I make mine extra wet because the sauce is just amazing. I use Door Dash when ordering. I've done delivery and pick up, and it's been consistent each time! When I went to pick it up, I actually liked the environment. It's tucked away in a shopping center-like location, but the inside is like a sports bar scenery. Gonna ask if it can be rented out for my graduation. Lol. The PRICE is amazing compared to the rest of Chattanooga. Very affordable for the amount of wings you do get. I've been craving tamales in the WORST way!! I haven't eaten at many Mexican places in the area but this one had good reviews and an extensive menu at reasonable prices, so I thought I'd check it out. I had trouble finding it because the sign wasn't lit and when I walked in there was one table full and one guy at the bar. Not a great sign, but it's Tuesday, so I sat down. It took a few minutes to get chips and salsa and a few more for the waiter to get to me. I have to say, their salsa is like a spicy tomato sauce. Not much flavor except tomato and heat. Not good. The waiter takes my drink order and brings it, then asks for my food order. I order a chicken fajita quesadilla and 2 tamales. NO TAMALES!! Well, there goes my craving fulfillment. I changed my order to the marinated chicken chimichanga and queso. The queso was pretty good, but standard. The chimichanga was pretty good, as was the rice and beans, but it was supposed to include sour cream and guacamole. There was maybe a tablespoon of each. Not nearly enough for a chimichanga since I like sour cream and guac with each bite. My waiter was good and the reason for the 3rd star. I still want tamales!! read more

First time there. Dropped in for a quick lunch of Buffalo chicken wings. They brought complimentary salsa and chips to table while I was looking over the menu. Chips and salsa were good. I was one of 3 total people dining there at the time. I ordered 5 medium wings, all flats, well done with blue cheese. It included celery. The wings came out pretty fast. Faster than I could imagine for "well done". The wings were luke warm when they arrived and they were not that crisp and they did not look "well done". The sauce was strange. Kind of like classic buffalo sauce, but it had an over abundance of black pepper in it. You could easily see the fine grain black pepper in the sauce. Never have I had Buffalo wings with black pepper in it. They had so much black pepper, that it was really all I could taste. I ended up eating 3 of the 5 wings. I was pretty disappointed. The celery was wilted and looked old. It was a white-ish color with light brown specks on the edges. When I got my itemized check, I was charged 75cents for "X-wet". I did not order extra wet. No where on the check did it say "well done". I guess I got the "x-wet" soggy under-cooked wings instead of "well done" as I had ordered. I most definitely will never be going back there for wings again. They did have a pretty extensive traditional Mexican menu also and I might give that a try someday. Forget that! Alright, Mexi-Wing. You have our attention. In an effort to not wear out our family's favorite place, we've been popping in here. (Weird logic, but hey...) And while they are serving some decently solid wings, the one thing they are absolutely excelling at is tacos. They are everything I want. Meat, onions, cilantro, two toasty corn shells and a side of homemade sauce. Perfect! They have your standards: al pastor, asada, carnitas, fish and chicken. And also the lesser known lengua, adobada, tripe and cheek. You can opt for shrimp and ceviche, too. We were also pleasantly surprised with the shrimp tostadas. We tried the steak fajitas once and we all thought they were a bit tough. Pretty sure it was chuck steak. However, the serving was huge and we all had enough for lunch. Oddly...the steak was much more tender the next day. If you like horchata, they serve it. For us, the chips are thicker than we like, but the table salsa has good heat. The wings are tasty and nicely sized. Several flavor options with the original having that good vinegar heat. Overall, we're glad we tried them again and are really happy to have a place on our side of town serving great tacos. read more
