Free chips & salsa included. I paired them with their tasty Mexican rice, beans, and a refreshing lemonade--the whole meal was only $15.89 before tip. I filled up too much on the chips & salsa and took home two container of leftover. They have "Ladies Night" on all day Thursday. Big discounts on Cocktails, Margaritas, Domestic & Imported Beer & Imported Draft Beer. The decor is beautiful with bright, vibrant Mexican colors that make for a great atmosphere. To top it off, the customer service was fantastic. I was so impressed I left a 45% tip. Highly recommend!!! It's located @ 8050 E. Broad Street, Reynoldsburg OH, 43068. Phone (614) 626-0051.

Posted this same review to google…read more *Warning* to parents of very young children, specifically toddlers and infants. This place has EXTREMELY intense entertainment. We visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday evening around 5:30 and had a most unpleasant experience. Not due to food- the food was great. Menu selection great, drink selection great. Little pricey, but okay. The initial atmospheric vibe, great. Unfortunately, we were completely unaware of a ritual apparently the restaurant performs periodically. About 15 minutes into of us being there, while we were eating, the lights went dark. After a couple minutes passed and we're wondering what's going on, music started blasting at an insanely loud volume.I love loud concerts and even I was wincing. And then some wild looking alien/robot guy on stilts comes out and starts dancing around. Our 5 year old son had a complete mental breakdown. He is a little sensitive to loud sounds and this scared the absolute daylights out of him. Understandably so, because like I said the volume was violently loud. Due to this alone, we won't be returning. Even without kids. I can't overstate how painfully loud the volume was, at least during this specific instance. It was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences we've had. It lasted about 10 minutes. It's a real shame too because before the chaos, we were really enjoying ourselves and the restaurant. We were even going to overlook the fact that our waitress forgot to bring my wife's soda. We just wanted to leave after that for fear of it happening again. I hate to sound like a pansy or overly protective parent. It was clearly a "iykyk" thing. Everyone else in the restaurant loved it. Good for them and to each their own. If only someone had come around to the tables with young children and gave a small warning of "hey, it's about to get loud", that would've been great and very helpful. But nothing. Their website doesn't state anywhere that this is something that happens. There are videos of it, which is fine, but the videos do not convey the incredibly loud volume of the place when this action goes down. We won't be returning unfortunately. So fair warning to parents of toddler and infant children- bring soundproof headphones for your littles or prepare to step outside when it goes dark.

Service: waiters are friendly, but normally a younger crowd so can give off that "just doing my…read morejob" attitude at first. Sometimes a little slow and can find yourself waiting for water at times. Ambiance/Atmosphere: the inside is very nice and although narrow doesn't feel crowded or stuffy. Lighting is dimly lit enough for a nice date night, but not at all to dark. Food: The pocho burrito was amazing the first time I had it, followed by the second and third time even. Just a delicious burrito with an amazing habanero cream sauce and packed full of all three meats. I'd genuinely argue from my memory that it was the best burrito I'd ever had. That being said, I'd highly recommend skipping to go. The last 2 times I had it which has been over a year because I simple could not return it was just that disgusting. I was disheartened to have wasted my weekly cheat meals on it not once, but twice in arrow of dining here. The shrimp was hard, bland as if nothing was in my mouth, but still disgustingly fishy. The habanero sauce was tasteless and the avacado most definitely was not fresh. The chicken, steak, and peppers along with the tortilla still tasted good, but it was almost impossible to enjoy it pushing past the disgusting shrimp. The enchiladas were ok, but definitely a waste of money and calories. Not at all special. It seems that now this place is doing a bit better and has back to back 4 and even 5 star reviews. I'm giving Pocho's a 3 regardless of how awful my last two experiences were due to the fact the Pocho burrito was truly that delicious the first few times I had it. I raved about it and went back 3 weeks in arrow and even told my friends about it who loved it all the same. I used to even get two dining in and all three times getting it to go. Maybe it was my fault for trusting to go orders to much, but the first time it was just as amazing as dining in. I may give it another try as I truly do miss that delicious burrito, but I've discovered much better Mexican and don't want to risk wasting my time. Only time will tell if I give this place another shot.

Service was a little bit slow at first but our waiter then was on top of everything. It's not overly large but has a mixture of tables and booths and a bar area. Has nice decor inside! Food wise: The chicken empanada appetizer was delicious! That green sauce that came on it was so good! I enjoyed the chicken teriyaki taco special and it was very good as well. I also got a side of rice and enjoyed that as well. Others in the group enjoyed their meals and drinks as well. Would return if ever back in the area for some yummy food!

So far since my big move here last year, El Vaquero is my 2nd restaurant for Mexican food that I've visited. Well, my 3rd really if you count "The Local Cantina", but I really don't count that place just due to how absurd their menu is. I brought my wife to EV for lunch, and this place was very clean, which is a great plus in my book. The young lady that waited on us (Erendira), was very friendly, very quick to get us some chips and salsa, very quick to get us our drinks as well. Very good service, no question at all. The first thing I always think about when ordering Mexican food, is always my memories of back home in San Antonio. When the plates came out, I really had that sense of home. The enchilada's my wife ordered were spot on, the rice was so authentic, yet so simple. A lot of places try and spruce up spanish rice with corn and just simply call it "Tex-Mex". Not the case here, very good. The frijoles were also good, don't miss out. I ordered the flauta lunch plate, and it really hit the spot, not overly portioned, but just the right amount of food. They have a happy hour with lunch through 2p, so drop in and enjoy the discounted plates.
