Service: waiters are friendly, but normally a younger crowd so can give off that "just doing my job" attitude at first. Sometimes a little slow and can find yourself waiting for water at times. Ambiance/Atmosphere: the inside is very nice and although narrow doesn't feel crowded or stuffy. Lighting is dimly lit enough for a nice date night, but not at all to dark. Food: The pocho burrito was amazing the first time I had it, followed by the second and third time even. Just a delicious burrito with an amazing habanero cream sauce and packed full of all three meats. I'd genuinely argue from my memory that it was the best burrito I'd ever had. That being said, I'd highly recommend skipping to go. The last 2 times I had it which has been over a year because I simple could not return it was just that disgusting. I was disheartened to have wasted my weekly cheat meals on it not once, but twice in arrow of dining here. The shrimp was hard, bland as if nothing was in my mouth, but still disgustingly fishy. The habanero sauce was tasteless and the avacado most definitely was not fresh. The chicken, steak, and peppers along with the tortilla still tasted good, but it was almost impossible to enjoy it pushing past the disgusting shrimp. The enchiladas were ok, but definitely a waste of money and calories. Not at all special. It seems that now this place is doing a bit better and has back to back 4 and even 5 star reviews. I'm giving Pocho's a 3 regardless of how awful my last two experiences were due to the fact the Pocho burrito was truly that delicious the first few times I had it. I raved about it and went back 3 weeks in arrow and even told my friends about it who loved it all the same. I used to even get two dining in and all three times getting it to go. Maybe it was my fault for trusting to go orders to much, but the first time it was just as amazing as dining in. I may give it another try as I truly do miss that delicious burrito, but I've discovered much better Mexican and don't want to risk wasting my time. Ate here with a party of five between lunch and dinner and all of us enjoyed our food, drinks and overall experience! Service was a little bit slow at first but our waiter then was on top of everything. It's not overly large but has a mixture of tables and booths and a bar area. Has nice decor inside! Food wise: The chicken empanada appetizer was delicious! That green sauce that came on it was so good! I enjoyed the chicken teriyaki taco special and it was very good as well. Heard about Pocho's opening recently and was excited to try it out! They had an extensive menu with everything from tacos and burritos to specialty dishes. The interior had an upscale, urban vibe to it, with sleek booths and a bar in the back. The potato tacos were super crispy with a layer of mashed potatoes inside. It was topped with lots of lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and lime. Since it was on the blander side I ordered their homemade hot sauce which does cost an extra $1.50 but was really good. I'm a huge fan of birria tacos so was pleased to see that they had it on their regular menu. The tacos had a lot of tender, shredded meat and cheese inside. The dip was very good as well and it came with diced onions, cilantro, and hot sauce on the side to garnish. The enchiladas are also a good option and came with 3 different sauces so you can try the cream habanero sauce, green sauce and red sauces. Service was quick although once it gets busy during peak hours there was more wait time. Prices are on the higher side in terms of Mexican cuisine but the quality was good and portions were big as well. They also have a lunch special on weekdays and happy hour specials if you are looking for deals. read more

My aunt and uncle recently moved to Granville and when visiting we decided to check out this little place they love. The menu is smaller than normal Mexican restaurants but covers all the good stuff. We started with the trio of dips and their salsa guacamole and queso are all really good! I tried the prickly pear margarita, which honestly was not good at all, it was mostly soda and didn't taste like a margarita nor show any flavors of prickly pear. For my meal I got the fajita burrito, and it was so delicious! Everyone else enjoyed their meals including tacos al pastor, and a bowl. We decided to try Pocho's Tequila & I'll and I am so glad we did. This Mexican restaurant took over the space that once was an italian restaurant and wow, they really made the space their own. I love the decor. Its very modern, with soft blue lighting at night. Nothing cheesy or tacky here. There are hanging lanterns and wall moss so it has a nice organic feel. Service was quick and friendly. Food was out of this world. This was the first place that came close to Maya NYC and Ghost Ranch, Tempe. Took a motorcycle ride to Granville specifically to hit a chocolate shop that sadly we found to be no longer in business. My husband asked if we wanted to grab lunch and we saw Pocho's was open so we hit it up. Tres Amigos is a flight of dips: guac, queso and salsa. Two glasses of cab and a Bloody Mary with all the fixings per bartender's choice. Grilled fish tacos were divine and they have black beans. The truest confirmation they cook with healthy ingredients. Spicy cream sauce -- if you order spicy food regularly, this will be mild. If you have a mild palate, this will be spicy. Know thyself! The meat was tender, juicy, and paired beautifully with the fresh toppings (cilantro, onion, lime, salsa) and warm blue corn tortillas. I would describe them as a red restaurant salsa, a spicy salsa (that I did not try bc it smelled intimidatingly hot), salsa verde/tomatillo, and a smoky Chipotle salsa. All were very good! Love that the sides are elevated beyond standard fare. The peppers and spinach were delicious, the frijoles were great, the cilantro lime rice is refreshing! I don't think I have the words to adequately describe our experience but suffice to say it was PHENOMENAL! I dare say the best tacos I've ever had in my life and it's in Granville,OH of all places. Two of us had the birria tacos and the other person had enchiladas. The entire meal was fantastic. My wife also had the Margarita Fresca which was delicious. Top to bottom best meal in a long time!
