I wish I could begin to tell you how good FDR is. But you just have to experience it. From drinks without the kids to family night to birthday dinners... it has it all. The owners and servers will make you feel like absolute family!!!! Recently they underwent renovations and I stepped out to another local Mexican restaurant and it was so awful! Never again.

This little restaurant is a great option for you if you like Mexican food, they have from authentic to Tex Mex meals, and all are good. They have a lunch menu that is affordable and happy hour 12pm to 6pm. I'm planning to take advantage of this deal and have a few drinks someday. The service is good, friendly bartender and servers, the ambience is pretty chilled and cozy. Amazing spot here in Johnstown.

Chicken Fajitas After 3pm

After reading the reviews I was not sure what to expect. I bought it as take out since the reviews for in restaurant dinning was not great. The chicken had good flavor and was not dried out like a lot of places. The beans were over cooked. Other than that I would eat it again.

This is a really good Mexican restaurant... The food was really good. The decor is cool. The environment was enjoyable. My only criticism was that the wait staff was not really friendly but not in a rude way but more of an awkward way. It's really a good place for dinner.

Sangria with chips and salsa

Hubby and I decided to go out and find a new place to eat. Picked Johnstown and we decided on Mexican food. Looks small on the outside look but once it opens up. Way more seating than I thought there would be. Once inside we were seated right away. Greeted with chips and salsa. I ordered a Sangria and Hubby a tea. He ordered Enchiladas Rancheros and I the Tacos EL Pastor. Food came out quick and hot. The portion size blew me away. My pic tells it all. My tacos were overly filled with meat and I'm not complaining one bit. My husband said the mole sauce was excellent. We really enjoyed our dinner and we will be back to try something new next time. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us. Thank you . Be back soon.

Consistent fast service and good food. Nothing stands out as spectacular, but everything we have had has been good. It is your typical small town Mexican restaurant. Lots of parking in the parking area and an outside seating area when it is nice out.

Reminds me of any hometown Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy- but downright delicious . I always order the quesadillas Mexicanas, and the chicken and beef tips are super flavorful. Service is quick and easy and you won't be disappointed. Price is right, and kids meals are great too.

Taco Tuesday!

Wanted to update my review, as this place has really stepped up their game. What was once good is now exceptional. Taco Tuesday is a must-do with tacos priced so low that you won't think twice about ordering a giant frozen margarita as well! Great service with high quality food and generous portions.

I'm always overwhelmed by Mexican menus, but having a one pager for lunch deals helps a lot. Free chips and salsa! Why wouldn't they? I got the lunch pick two and picked a chicken quesadilla (loaded with flavor and with chicken!) and bean tostada, which looked like a salad and was so perfect. It also came with rice and beans. My husband ordered a chimichanga and enjoyed it. Our kindergartner had a cheese quesadilla with apple slices. Yum yum. The peach margarita was delicious and it was definitely enough for us to split since I drink pretty lightly. The colored sugar on the side was festive.

Hubby & I were driving through this small town & decided to stop to get some tacos to go. We sat at the bar so we could place a to go order. We were asked if we wanted a drink & we replied that we wanted to order tacos to go. I also asked for chips & salsa while we waited. The tortilla chips were good but the salsa was meh. We were ignored for at least 15 minutes until finally someone got around to taking our order. I got a beef hard taco ($3.25) & a guacamole appetizer ($4.75). Hubby ordered a chicken soft taco ($3.99) & Xango ($6.99) which is "creamy cheesecake wrapped in a pastry fried tortilla" for dessert. When our food came, we sat outside to eat. The tacos were tasty but small. The guacamole was in a tiny 2 oz container. The "cheesecake" was below average. Would I eat here again? Maybe...to try their "Pick two lunch combo" ($8.95).

Gigantic vessel of Sangria! Yum!

We really enjoyed our food and drinks on our first visit here. The complimentary salsa is just the way I like it - smooth with a little zip and lots of flavor. It is just right for the free chips. The sangria was refreshing and the on rocks margaritas were delicious. The Taco Supremo was too much goodness to finish in one sitting. The Fish Tacos, Tacos al Pastor, and Shrimp Tacos were all done well and were nicely presented. The chef at Fiesta really knows what he's doing. The Chocolate Brownie Cake he whipped up was fantastic. The service was also a plus. You don't always get smiling, efficient, and attentive servers these days. It was a wonderful added benefit to our afternoon out. Fiesta del Rio is a nice addition to the dining options in Johnstown. It's also worthy of the 35-minute drive from the far side of Columbus. We'll definitely be back.

Service: waiters are friendly, but normally a younger crowd so can give off that "just doing my…read morejob" attitude at first. Sometimes a little slow and can find yourself waiting for water at times. Ambiance/Atmosphere: the inside is very nice and although narrow doesn't feel crowded or stuffy. Lighting is dimly lit enough for a nice date night, but not at all to dark. Food: The pocho burrito was amazing the first time I had it, followed by the second and third time even. Just a delicious burrito with an amazing habanero cream sauce and packed full of all three meats. I'd genuinely argue from my memory that it was the best burrito I'd ever had. That being said, I'd highly recommend skipping to go. The last 2 times I had it which has been over a year because I simple could not return it was just that disgusting. I was disheartened to have wasted my weekly cheat meals on it not once, but twice in arrow of dining here. The shrimp was hard, bland as if nothing was in my mouth, but still disgustingly fishy. The habanero sauce was tasteless and the avacado most definitely was not fresh. The chicken, steak, and peppers along with the tortilla still tasted good, but it was almost impossible to enjoy it pushing past the disgusting shrimp. The enchiladas were ok, but definitely a waste of money and calories. Not at all special. It seems that now this place is doing a bit better and has back to back 4 and even 5 star reviews. I'm giving Pocho's a 3 regardless of how awful my last two experiences were due to the fact the Pocho burrito was truly that delicious the first few times I had it. I raved about it and went back 3 weeks in arrow and even told my friends about it who loved it all the same. I used to even get two dining in and all three times getting it to go. Maybe it was my fault for trusting to go orders to much, but the first time it was just as amazing as dining in. I may give it another try as I truly do miss that delicious burrito, but I've discovered much better Mexican and don't want to risk wasting my time. Only time will tell if I give this place another shot.

Service was a little bit slow at first but our waiter then was on top of everything. It's not overly large but has a mixture of tables and booths and a bar area. Has nice decor inside! Food wise: The chicken empanada appetizer was delicious! That green sauce that came on it was so good! I enjoyed the chicken teriyaki taco special and it was very good as well. I also got a side of rice and enjoyed that as well. Others in the group enjoyed their meals and drinks as well. Would return if ever back in the area for some yummy food!

It's a great spot for a quick lunch, and the mocktails were a nice surprise too. Our server made one that was flavorful and refreshing without being overly sweet. Definitely worth a visit.

Posted this same review to google…read more *Warning* to parents of very young children, specifically toddlers and infants. This place has EXTREMELY intense entertainment. We visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday evening around 5:30 and had a most unpleasant experience. Not due to food- the food was great. Menu selection great, drink selection great. Little pricey, but okay. The initial atmospheric vibe, great. Unfortunately, we were completely unaware of a ritual apparently the restaurant performs periodically. About 15 minutes into of us being there, while we were eating, the lights went dark. After a couple minutes passed and we're wondering what's going on, music started blasting at an insanely loud volume.I love loud concerts and even I was wincing. And then some wild looking alien/robot guy on stilts comes out and starts dancing around. Our 5 year old son had a complete mental breakdown. He is a little sensitive to loud sounds and this scared the absolute daylights out of him. Understandably so, because like I said the volume was violently loud. Due to this alone, we won't be returning. Even without kids. I can't overstate how painfully loud the volume was, at least during this specific instance. It was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences we've had. It lasted about 10 minutes. It's a real shame too because before the chaos, we were really enjoying ourselves and the restaurant. We were even going to overlook the fact that our waitress forgot to bring my wife's soda. We just wanted to leave after that for fear of it happening again. I hate to sound like a pansy or overly protective parent. It was clearly a "iykyk" thing. Everyone else in the restaurant loved it. Good for them and to each their own. If only someone had come around to the tables with young children and gave a small warning of "hey, it's about to get loud", that would've been great and very helpful. But nothing. Their website doesn't state anywhere that this is something that happens. There are videos of it, which is fine, but the videos do not convey the incredibly loud volume of the place when this action goes down. We won't be returning unfortunately. So fair warning to parents of toddler and infant children- bring soundproof headphones for your littles or prepare to step outside when it goes dark.
