I'm not someone who reviews items or services, but I have been pleased with Tick ranger. They called and let us know when they would come and they arrived the day stated. I will admit the next day I had a tick on me in my front yard, so I placed a call to the company - really wondering if they were reputable and would honor their commitment to re spray if a trick is seen. The office staff was great and scheduled us for a respray without a hassle. They did come within the week. No ticks after that - and my husband is a tick magnet! Last week they called to come for the 2nd application, and when they arrived, I was mowing. They said it would be best to come after I finished the mowing and said they would be back in a few days. This is our second year using Tick Ranger. We are very pleased with the results. Since we moved to CT several years ago, everyone in our family has been bitten by ticks and two of us have had Lyme's disease. Our cats often came back with ticks on their bodies despite regular applications of Frontline. After just the first treatment on our yard by Tick Ranger in the spring of 2017, we have had zero incidents with ticks. Great service! We started using them about 2 months ago as we were having a major tick issue, which we've never had to deal before. They came out within days of me calling, even with a super packed schedule, and treated our 1.3 acre property fairly quickly. They knocked on our door when they arrived to introduce themselves, inform us of what was being done, and asked us to show them the property line in the back as our property has a funky layout. They recently came for the second treatment and just like the first, the same thing happened. Knock on wood, we haven't seen a single tick since they started spraying our property, and the pesticide also helped with a secondary mosquito problem we have during summer. Highly recommend! What a relief to find such a firm and deliver on its promise to rid our property from the dreaded ticks. Tick Ranger would call a few days before so I could be home, dealt with the whole yard and has treated it for 3 times ,....think we have one more to go. Now this is treating the yard with cedar oil which is safe so give it time...it may take 2 times the first time treated (it did for us ...as we live in a highly wet and lots of trees and shrubs). The overall result was truly amazing ..and my big boy akita is now free of ticks..yes I need to be careful he doesn't pick them up on his walk. We've been a customer for enough years that I really can't remember how many years it has been. We initially started using them because we had dogs that were getting covered in ticks in our back yard. Once we started using them, we mostly had zero ticks. When we had one, we would call and they would return to respray. The only reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 is that they are overbooked and cannot keep up with the business they have. It would be nice to know which week they are coming. I'd like to make sure that the grass is cut prior to their coming. I don't want to cut the grass and remove some of the spray. The same goes for when it is the fall and there are leaves in the yard. read more

I always approach any new business with caution because let's face it, today, customer service sure isn't what it used to be. I do dog rescue so it's important that the tech be good with dogs. When I phoned Tick Ranger they were helpful and explained how things would work. My tech was Jack, he was wonderful about the dogs. He phoned ahead of time so I could let the pack out to potty before he arrived to spray. Not many places do that. Best of all, the number of ticks was greatly reduced. I don't think it's realistic to expect to see zero ticks, but i have seen close to that since they sprayed. I highly recommend Tick Ranger. read more

I am so happy I found out about this company & that they offer a natural alternative to spray ticks! We have a well for our water & cannot use most sprays that are out there. We also have a lot of wildlife along with our own animals. They are reliable, quick to get back to you should you have a question & they work with you if you need to have them spray your yard. Tick Ranger has been a blessing this entire spring, summer and fall seasons.We have not had any ticks and the mosquito control has been unbelievably successful for entire property. Amazing NON TOXIC service for way less than anyone else I found in the area. And they have excellent customer service. I can't believe the non chemical spray they use works but it truly does. My white swiss shepherd used to come inside with 20+ ticks we had to pick off of him (good thing he is so white!). I have an extensive organic flower garden. I do not use any chemicals. I was told that Tick Ranger was safe for bees. Well, NOT!!! They have killed all of my bees! They told me it was not from them but that is not true. As soon as they left, the bees were dead. I am furious. I also had issues with their other company in Newtown for Organic Lawn service. having multiple dogs and reluctant to use chemicals or "medicated" collars or worse, placing chemicals on their skin. this afforded us with an alternate solution. we have deer in our yard all the time, so ticks are present. the cedar spray has been effective for the three years we have been having the yard sprayed. and, safe for all the animals, ours and the creatures and birds that live in our woods. read more

Overall we are very happy with the service and results using the natural cedar oil tick treatment. My only feedback is that we opted for a non-scheduled 'we'll call you' way of reordering treatments but for some reason it never registered in their call center. I started using them last year and very glad I did. I have a dog who used to get ticks all the time as I live with woods around me and since they started spraying I haven't seen any on her or us.
