This is a local place we've been visiting for over 35 years. Back in the '90's, we used to meet there on Friday nights after the high school football games. Dozens of high school kids, band members and parents met up and ate a late dinner. One of my favorite foods is the Gyro on pita bread with homemade tzatziki sauce. My husband's favorite is the wings. They also make great hamburgers. They used to sell amazing baklava, but the owner who was responsible for that has mostly retired. They were recently bought from the original owners, and the couple of times we've visited, they seem to be using the same recipes. The service is great and they recognize us as regulars. The ambience is fun - there are lots of old fashioned metal signs on the walls, pictures of Wright-Patt, sports items like snowshoes, and beer signs. It's definitely worth a visit! read more

Decent but not my favorite gyro. The standard gyro does not come with feta cheese, which is a let down. They didn't do the best job of draining the meat so it a lot of grease was dripping. Also the gyro comes with chips and I wish they would let you swap chips and get Greek salad but they wouldn't (fries only but it was an up charge and I'd rather have salad!). My kids enjoyed the grilled cheese kids meal and my husband loves coming here. read more

Nice change of pace here as I am not a fan of bars or alcohol. Expecting bar food, I was surprised with the offering here. My sister had a steak with diced potatoes that she thoroughly enjoyed. On recommendation, I had the Philly Cheesesteak that was served in a pita with waffle fries on the side. It all tasted great and the service was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning to try other entrees as they have a lot to offer. read more

Yesterday Larry and I stopped for lunch at Tickets in Fairborn. I ate there quite often when I worked for the City of Fairborn sometimes a couple of times a week. My favorite was their Char burger with cheese so that's what we ordered. The menu had them listed but the price was whited out (I should have asked the cost but didn't). When they brought our order my hamburger was half the size as before...still tasted good but not the same! I was further surprised by the bill which charged me $10.75for each burger and $2.50 to get fries instead of chips...a whole basket of fries was $2.95! I know restaurants are hurting but $3 more for the burger...really and so much smaller.Guess I won't be wanting another char burger anytime soon! read more

My family has been dining at Tickets for nearly 20 years and has been a family favorite for most of my kids' lives. I hate to write this review but hope it is a wake up call to the owners/managers that things need to change. I give the review a 2 because the wait staff was great. That's where the good news ends. We ordered mushrooms for the appetizer and the outside was extremely hard and over cooked and the inside was tough and inedible. We politely asked the waitress to take them away and we weren't interested in any more. Our meals arrived, Greek hot plate, and at least the grilled chicken was tender and juicy...but the pork was tough and dry and the gyro was bland and disappointing. I've gotten that meal probably 50 times over the years and have never had it be so underwhelming. Things have definitely changed. I was very nearly about to ask the waitress if the restaurant was under new ownership/management when I saw the owners start walking the restaurant. Instead of reassuring me, that only served to disappoint me even more. The final straw was when the waitress brought us our bill and she informed me the owners refused to comp the bad mushrooms but not to worry...the waitress paid her own cash to comp the mushrooms...I was in complete disbelief! Shocked! She then informed me she's worked there for years and as far as she knows it's always been the owners policy that if they think the food is edible, they refuse to consider the diner's experience and simply won't comp the bad food. The owners apparently care so little about the diner's experience and even less for their own wait staff that they simply force the bad food cost onto their own staff instead of being decent restaurant managers and trying to make things better for the next dining experience. This experience has so badly tainted my love of this restaurant that I don't know if we'll be back and I thought others would like to know just how much Tickets has changed. read more

I love greek food. I also have a soft spot for cheap bar food (looking at you, Kings Table! ...and in my opinion... bar food in general is pretty hard to mess up. The pros - the bar is pretty spacious and I can see this being a good place for locals to get a couple beers and hang out. The waitresses were nice and attentive. No problem at all with customer service! Cons... The food was pretty bad. Our total order included jalapeno poppers, potato skins, a gyro, a souvlaki, and traditional chicken wings. The jalapeno poppers were the best part (that's not saying a lot... is it even possible to mess up jalapeno poppers?) The potato skins were served cold. When the waitress found this out, she sent it back to the kitchen and it came out a few minutes after... plate super hot. Yes, they were just thrown in the microwave. The gyro meat... looked like spam. I've never seen any greek restaurant serve meat that looks like that! The pork souvlaki reminded me of a sandwich I'd throw together from leftover pork in the fridge. It wasn't seasoned, but I will say at least it was somewhat tender. The chicken wings were okay, nothing much to say about them. I just think, if you're going to serve low bar quality food, maybe it's wiser to stick to chicken tenders, tater tots, etc... I would never reorder any greek food from this menu. That all being said, the bar was pretty busy by 12:30pm. We came in because our friend's from Fairborn and he wanted to support the local business (but it was his potato skins served cold and then microwaved). Were all those people locals, trying to support their neighborhood restaurant? I don't know. I would not come back for the food. Good place to watch a game, perhaps, and nice waitresses. Best chicken wings hands down in the Dayton area! Family-owned eatery and sports bar with great food and customer service. Traditional Greek fare is also on the menu and very delicious. Ok, Tickets is hit and miss. Went there, and asked for the kids hotdog meal to come out with our appetizer. The hotdog wasn't done when we get our greasy potato bacon wedges first, and we waited for the kids burnt hotdog to show. Five minutes later her hotdog shows up, and our cold Gyros follows shortly. There is only one waitress one bartender working on college football game day, and other customers are waiting as well, what was the business owner thinking? Well he was doing nothing, but sitting at the bar doing nothing to help the situation. I'm handed someone else's credit card during cashing out. This place is a great spot to kick back & enjoy a good beer with great food! Pros: 1. Waiter was friendly, attentive, & courteous 2. We ordered BBQ & medium spicy wings - those were cooked PERFECTLY & were very flavorful 3. We went on a Sunday night so there were mostly families/groups there. No obnoxious drunks 4. Lots of choices on the menu - typical American bar food along with Greek dishes 5. Beer/alcohol selection was decent. We had a couple PBR's (you can't go wrong with PBR) 6. You can either set at the bar or they have booth/table seating in the adjacent room for families with kids 7: Prices are reasonable Cons: 1: We ordered the potato skins that come with chili, cheese, & jalapeños as an appetizer. These were unflavorful and burnt. This was the only negative experience. Would not order these again. Overall, very laid-back comfortable bar atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back! read more

If you can call a bar/restaurant "cozy," that's the best way to describe Tickets. Weekends might be super crowded and tough to find a seat, especially during the Halloween "season" (yes, though lots of places here in Ohio go all out for Halloween, NO PLACE does it like downtown Fairborn!!) but the Greek/bar food menu here, plus friendly service and "Cheers-like" atmosphere are well worth the wait!! Some basic Greek choices, standard appetizer and sandwich options = something for almost everyone. My gyro salad (Greek salad with gyro meat) was a perfect size (though you'll have to order a side of pita bread separately, which was odd...) and the Mr.'s fish sandwich and fries seemed good. They've got a list of weekly specials on the table for a bit more variety, though oddly it always seems that the best stuff when we've been there is always the NEXT week or the PREVIOUS week (two-sided list!). Lots of drafts plus more at the bar, good food (check out the ice cream/Greek desserts afterwards...) and easy-going vibe makes this a great choice any time, ESPECIALLY pre-Halloween shopping/monster viewing at Foys, Fairborn's MECCA for all things SCAAAAAAARY across the street!!! read more

Nice family owned sportsbar, great staff, good food and friendly vibe, I get the Reuben everytime im here. They make a mean Cajun catfish fillet too! They serve greek food, which is their strength. It saddens my heart to write this review, but here it goes.. I've been a patron at this establishment for over 12 years and I frequented it at least once a week. I just went tonight with a group of friends and Co workers; and oh my, have things changed. They have increased their prices on chicken wings and the quality of them have gone down immensely, including the size. They want to charge you $2.35 for blue cheese and celery, then they did not make them extra crispy or extra saucy as I had asked... this isn't even the worst part. I also ordered a Greek hot plate for two for my wife and I and my friend ordered a Greek hot plate for one. They give us the same exact plate fixture and they told me mine was for two. I kindly refused the plate and the server took it back. This used to be my favorite place to go eat wings at being stationed here and growing up in Buffalo NY. Now, sadly I will never step back in the arches of this establishment. You simply don't raise prices and drop quality of your food... this place now will be mirrorly a memory for me of the good times. Oh, the best part you say? They no longer offer a militsry discount being less than a mile away from WPAFB and being majority funded by the people in uniform. This is basically the only restaurant I've been in to eat at a table in almost a year. I like the food. I already knew the staff wasn't top shelf. My last experience I saw the "bartender" pick up the soda gun off the floor where it had fallen from the broken bracket more than once, not one time wiping it off! This time, with plexiglas shields between tables, and good service, I can't say for certain that nobody had wiped down our table after the previous customer, but I suspect they didn't, and that is unacceptable. They need a leader, They seem watched over, probably micro-managed and suspected of overpouring and giving away the profits, not watched over to ensure the customers are as safe as possible, and I am disappointed. A simple wipe of a table would have prevented this review. What a shame. read more

Tickets is one of those places that you shouldn't judge from the outside. It is one of those restaurants that doesn't lure you in with their curb appeal but once you enter the bar, it is open and lively. I have been to Tickets several times now for lunch and each experience was enjoyable. The place is always packed and if you arrive after noon, you might not find a seat in the bar area. Surprisingly they specialize in greek food and it is very tasty. I recommend the greek hot-plate that comes loaded with lamb, pork, chicken and feta with a side of pita and tzatziki sauce. There is another seating area that is much quieter and more of a plain dining area. The atmosphere drops off tremendously in this section. My family and I have been eating here and having parties etc. for over 30 years . My sister in laws husband had the Thunderbirds give the owners a signed poster to display in the dining room . We were treated very unprofessional and really rude Monday 18th October 2021. When we first arrived a waitress met us at the door and told us it's probably going to be at least 30 minute wait , we were only people waiting ? I said ok we will wait . While waiting another older lady comes around and cleans a table and said you can sit here if you would like . So we thought we were lucky and was seated early . While looking at the menu , the original waitress that told us it would be at least 30 minutes stated and I quote " Sorry we can't serve you , you guys are going to have to leave . We're not taking anymore customers tonight ! This was at 6pm they didn't close for several more hours . We weren't given any explanation. So to make matters worse as we're leaving a family of 4 is coming through the door and we tell them there not serving anyone . They tell us yeah we're friends of the staff they said it was ok for us to come in and dine . This is it for us , I will no longer visit or recommend this Bar to anyone . Also my wife called the next day and asked to speak to the owner Lisa and we still haven't heard from her . So sad this once was a great family eatery . read more

So, I live in Fairborn. I pretty much hate it, but for now it is what it is. Went to Tickets because it was close and I had to get out of the house for a bit. The hamburger was ok, but too well done, even though I ordered it medium since they're "cooked to order". Fries were clearly Ore-Ida, but as long as they're hot when I get them, I can deal. Wasn't impressed with the bartender/server, but I was able to make excuses for her since she was the only one behind the bar. Until. I am by no means prudish. However. When speaking with another employee, the bartender/server who shall remain nameless spoke of how someone was on her "fucking nerves". I may have been the only one to hear that, based on where she was, where I was and where the rest of those seated at the bar were. But as I scope out others at the bar, some were old enough to be my parents. Which is 80. And not nearly as tolerant as I. Look. I have really low expectations for this town and I haven't been disappointed. But seriously. I sat down and she was like, "What do you want?" and it went downhill from there, because I didn't know what I wanted. All I could come up with was, "Something to eat and a beer?" since I am far from a regular, so how would I know? Even if I were, that's more like, "Why did you have to sit here? Absolutely one of the worst eating experiences in my 68 years of life! I met a group for dinner and ordered hot turkey with feta in pita, and French fries. I also ordered a beer, which was fine. I could not eat the sandwich because the ingredients are meant to be cold. I have no idea why the waitress gave me a choice, but I'm from the mindset that first you heat the pita, then add the ingredients, which were microwaved!! Absolutely nauseating! The restaurant was freezing cold. I had to place my down coat over my feet and also prop them up on the tables' feet to stay warm.
