Valerie W may disagree, but "I Think This Is The Beginning Of A Beautiful Friendship." We haven't been here before, I know it's a Springfield staple, but we don't golf. We don't have history with the place, so we can't review how it used to be compared to now, we were pleasantly surprised with the value. 2 appetizers, 5 wings and a basket of fried cauliflower...2 entrées, giant fish sandwich with fresh cut fries and a large club salad...2 pops with a decent tip and we were at $50.....it's like it's 2020 with no inflation. I didn't like the garlic boom-boom sauce I got for my wings, I couldn't taste the garlic or the boom, but the wings are good with out sauce. The fries could have been crispier for me, just right for Richelle. Staff was friendly, atmosphere is family friendly, after youth sports team friendly. Dinning area is weird, like a banquet hall with tables, but we sat out on the patio. We though the service was good, seemed like they were managing fine, probably could have had one more on staff? So we "discovered" we liked a place we have driven by many times in the past 20yrs, on our way to the place with goats and ice cream.

Now where did My review go? I know I posted one. My sister suggested that I try this place. She said one of her favorites was the fried Balogna sandwich. I'm 67 years old, never in my life have I ever as much as entertained the idea of ordering a fried balogna sandwich in a restaurant. A notion that on one hand is somewhat silly considering I've had BLTs in diners across the USA. But then not so silly when you consider how much more skill it requires to properly prepare the perfect BLT. I could tell the cook took pride in his work in assembling my sandwich. The bacon was a nice thick slice of perfectly fried goodness. The tomato was also sliced thick. It had just the right Ballenger of crispy lettuce. I ordered sweet potato fries which turned out to be an awsome compliment to the BLT. Amanda was our server. She was friendly and attentive. I recommend Bogeys. I don't know that I'd ever order a Fried Balogna sandwich, but they do have other menu items I would try . I'm thinking of trying thier pizza sometime.....

A nice gem here. We've stopped here a few times over the last year. Food is great, never had a bad meal here yet. Wish it was closer to home for us. Any time we come through here we will stop. I recommend the Mushroom Swiss Burger......Damn good .

Went to this place because of a friend said that the pizza was great. The pizza was thin crust with old world pepperoni, and lots of it. I am all about great sauce and this sauce was only ok, little sweet and not to spicy. The wife tried the bone in wings and said they were great, but her cheese sticks were still cold and frozen. Large place but they close off sections in winter. Was very busy the night we were there with 2 bartenders waiting on all tables and serving drinks at the bar.

And Little Palace down the street are both closing due to high rent. Apparently 16- bit is robbing patrons blind to stay open? This makes me so sad bc I really loved coming here. I can't justify returning after this. It's a total rip off. And the shots were so small to boot. Down the street we got a shot of the same Tequila and two beers for wayyyy cheaper and they poured a normal size shot. Not a sip of a shot. Also, they charge an "entertainment fee" Isn't it enough you charge astronomical prices for drinks? Gotta take that little bit more from the customer? Makes me really sad.

As an adult, it is leveled up with a bar serving booze! We were only spending one night in Colombus and unfortunately we arrived late in the evening. It was not too late though and we still had a couple of hours to have fun until they closed. We walked there from our hotel and it seemed like it was pretty dead on the streets, maybe because it is a business area as opposed to residential. We walked in and were able to grab some seats at the bar. Funny enough, there was someone checking ID's upon entering. I have not been asked to show ID in a very long time and of course once you pass 30, it feels like a compliment lol. It was quiet inside with music playing. There was only about 10 other people there enjoying drinks at the bar. We were greeted quickly and offered drink menus. I think I only ordered the Bombay & Lime slushy but I might have tried another drink. The slushy was really good. I think hubs stuck to beer. We ordered our first round and sat at the bar for a little to take in the scene. We inquired about playing the arcade games and were informed the games are free to play, as long as you are ordering drinks. Yessssss! My favorite arcade game is Galaga so I had to find that one first. I was so happy they had it! Hubs and I played against each other a couple of times and then we walked around to observe the other games. We stopped and played a couple different arcades and then returned to the bar. It was late when we arrived so we unfortunately did not get to spend too much time here. The bartender and patrons were awesome. The bartender actually had to cut someone off because he was started getting annoying. Other than that, everyone was cool. The place was clean and looked well kept. I don't think there were any arcade games out of order, which is an amazing plus. I definitely recommend this place and if we ever find ourselves in downtown Columbus again, we will be here!

It's a sports bar, with lots of TV screens but surprisingly low lighting. Lighting never effected my drinking and the "House Margaritas ($7)" had no trouble going down. The waitresses are super friendly and got more social as the evening progressed. My drinking partners had no problems with the hospitality. As for the food, Hey! it's bar food. Pot Roast sandwich ($15.50), Chicken Quesadilla ($13.25), I had the blackened Cobb salad. The chicken was seasoned well, the lettuce was crisp and all the other ingredients were fresh as well. There was a choice of dressings brought on the side and I went with the Italian dressing. It surprised me but I really enjoyed the blackened Cobb salad. I'll be back.

The bar tenders, bar runners and wait staff were moving 80 miles per hour to serve their customers. Unfortunately, the back-of-the-house kitchen struggled to meet the demands of the public's apparently ravenous appetites. Our chicken nachos order took over an hour to arrive. (For what's it's worth, they tasted good when we eventually got them, but we starving to the point that we considered nearby White Castle and Taco Bell as appealing alternatives, so our judgement in that state was perhaps compromised.) The saving grace in that scenario was our bartender Leah who was doing the MOST (in a good way) on an injured knee. She communicated well with us and comped some of our items due to the excessive wait - a most appreciated gesture. On less crowded/themed evenings, there's an abundance of TVs and food/drink specials for your sports viewing pleasure.

She seated us by a window and was attentive and engaging the entire time. We were going to order the calamari as an appetizer again because it left such an impression on our first visit, but it was no longer listed on the menu, which made us sad until we saw the fancy fried cheese and ordered that instead. The hubby also wanted the jumbo shrimp and fries, just like last time, and luckily for him it was still available. I almost ordered the Kansas City burger again but wanted to mix it up so I chose the Brentwood Chicken sandwich, fried, with a Caesar salad. The salad and cheese came right out and were so delicious! The pesto dipping sauce for the cheese was amazing and we practically licked the container so we didn't leave any morsels. My salad was amazing too; the lettuce was fresh, the croutons were just crunchy enough and it had the perfect amount of dressing on it. My hubby once again thoroughly enjoyed his shrimp, but I had some regrets with the chicken sandwich. It was very tough and hard to eat. I ate half and then took it home for later. Upon a reheating, it was tender and delicious! Overall, very successful second visit to Houlihan's. We will be back for the lovely servers, the delicious food and the cozy, dark booths.
