Convenient location right off of 20 across the street from taco Mac and race trac. Here's the deal. I love the outside services but the vacuums often are not either working at maximum suction or turned off and that can be a bit frustrating! I am a member of one of the wash clubs so for 3999 a month I get unlimited services. I do appreciate the unlimited wash and as I said it does a great job on the outside I use it often. However due to the traffic as well as the vacuums it don't work when they build another one close to me I will definitely be checking it out. So I do recommend them for the exterior wash and for the convenient location but until they get those vacuums up to par on a consistent basis I cannot recommend them with five stars! read more

We tried out the new car wash today and it was a wonderful clean new facility! The $20 car wash option is great! Hot Wax, Rain Repellant, Tire Shine and lots of yummy smelling soap! Not only a blow dry at the end but it has an extra soft spin cloth to get the water off the car. They also have free vacuum and micro cloth wipe down rags when you pull out! I would highly suggest they get the following though as their competitor already has: 2 vacuum head options (need a smaller nozzle to get in the cracks of the car), a car mat beater machine (like 3 minute car wash has) and more free options for car cleaner sprays (all purpose, air freshener, windex). Get those and you have my business forever! read more

I like this Tidal Wave instead of the one by my house in Morrow. The customer service is great and I think the machines wash my car better. Once you pull out of the car wash to the vacuums, they provide rags (in case you didn't bring any) and even window cleaner. Their $10 wash is $20 if you get the monthly subscription and seems like that's the way to go since Georgia weather is bipolar. I think to improve : they should have smaller nozzle heads for the vacuums (especially for those hard to reach areas like between the seat and middle console). read more

The attendants are always friendly and I've never had a problem with this wash. It's crowded a lot though, but that's a good sign!

They were a decent car wash until my car was damaged in the wash. A large pick up truck was in front of me and wasn't being pushed forward with the rollers. It consequently pulled my car directly into the hitch of that truck. The hitch pushed in my grill, emblem and after taking it to my shop the sensors and adaptive cruise control were damaged also. I called the police and they pulled the tape to see what happened and filed a report. The general manager Steve at the wash explained that they would take care of it. He went on "vacation " and bought the same kind of car that I have and seemed to be in no rush to submit my paperwork to the home office. I spoke with the home office myself and the claim process was started. I was in a rental for 3 weeks and just got my car back. Their insurance adjuster was friendly but did everything she could to lowball the claim. Overall they covered the rental and $3500 in damage that they created. Thankfully it's over now. A 15 min errand to the car wash turned into a 30-day ordeal to get my car fixed. I cancelled my fast pass that day of the damage. I won't go to an auto-wash anymore. They put the cars in too close together. So please ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! I'll get my car professionally hand washed and detailed from now on. read more

This car wash vacuums are very weak and the towels they give are dirty,greasy and they smell bad.They have to classify the towels.

I have used this McDonough location as well as the Locust Grove location. I can say that the Locust Grove location is a much better run facility than the McDonough. My lower trim & the side of my car was left with spots even after drying...perhaps some finishing product that wasn't distributed properly. The cleaning products at the vacuum area are only one product & not identified. The Locust Grove location has several cleaning products clearly identified as vinyl cleaner, window cleaner, etc & even a floor mat "beater" to run your mats through. In October I went to the McDonough location & was met by an individual at the kiosk at entry. He promptly tried to sell a "special" they were running. For $20 I could get unlimited car washes for a month. At no time did he tell me that my credit card would be charged AGAIN the end of that month for $29.99. It wasn't until I was reviewing my credit card account that I saw a charge pending for $29.99 effective 11/20/2022. I thought my card had been compromised because I had not been to the Tidal Wave car wash that day. I immediately informed the credit card company of same. I was told that since the charge was pending, I could not dispute and the vendor had to reverse the charge. I immediately called the customer service for Tidal Wave & was told that they would cancel my membership. I asked the person to reverse the charge as well because in pending status the credit card company said the vendor would have to reverse the charge. After seeing that the charge was not reversed & was on my credit card statement, I called Tidal Wave & was told that only the membership had been cancelled, not the charge even though I cancelled the day after the charge. I was told I could speak with a supervisor & she would call me back. I had no luck with the supervisor. She said that she reviewed my previous conversation & that she did not tell me the charge would be reversed. I informed her that my husband was 93 & I was 70 and on fixed income & this was certainly not good business practice. I told her that they should train the personnel at the McDonough location to inform customers that they would be charged every month! And that this was a deceptive business practice to take advantage of people. I guess older people are easier marks. BE VERY AWARE & ASK QUESTIONS. Record if you can. If you like Tidal Wave, only use the Locust Grove location. read more

Great business especially the Monthly plan however there a few things they could do to improve the business. I've posted them below.

I was ambivalent about posting this review but after not hearing from the management team or owner of the car wash in nearly two weeks since my initial request I felt this was the only way to get a resolution. I've been using this car wash since it opened last year and currently am a member of the monthly car wash club, on September 19,2018, I entered the car wash as I had on several other occasions, however this time the experience was much different. As my car went along the conveyor belt I felt the car shift in a motion that felt that I had run over something ( being that I was unaware of what caused the shift of my car and being afraid to take the car out of neutral while in the car wash.) I continued through the car wash and hoped it was nothing. To my surprise when I exited from the cash wash bay, it was difficult to accelerate to get to the vacuum area and it seemed that something may have fallen from my car. I stopped my car right at the outlet from the car wash bay and noticed that a large foreign object was attached to the front grill of my car. I later discovered that the object was a rear gate from a pick up truck, that had been dislodged from a previous car. I quickly separate the piece from my vehicle and alerted staff of the incident. Initially there didn't seem to be much damage to my car but I wanted to ensure that they were aware so that they could make sure there were no other foreign objects in the car wash, but as I begin to examine my car I realized that a part of my bumper was displaced and a piece of my grill was missing. I spoke with Cole and Lou about the issue. When another patron of the car wash came over to explained what he witnessed with my car. Lou began to yell at him telling him that he needed to "mind his own business" and "go back to his car", he even attempted to hand the man the missing part from my car and asked him if he wanted to reinstall it since he had so much input. At this point I was floored. Was the staff at this establishment really speaking to a customer in this manner when they customer was only assisting ( not rude, not elevating his voice, not accusing anyone of anything.) As I watched in awe, I asked Cole ( other employee) for Lou's name and title. Which he provided. Cole left the scene after attempting to calm the madness, and it was at that time that I addressed with Lou that my bumper had been displaced and was essentially hanging off at the top. He quickly pushed it in and stated that it was fixed, I was not satisfied with this solution as it could become dislodged again at anytime and there would be no resolution. Lou then proceeds to tell me that this damage had nothing to do with the current incident and was a result of an accident that I was involved in, in MAY! If that was the case why is it that the bumper has been intact without issue since May. I quickly let him know that I would continue to speak with Cole about my incident because it was apparent that he would not be of any assistance to me. Cole returned and assured me that I would hear from the manager on the following day. it is now 12 days later and I have yet to hear anything from this car wash. To make matters worse, not only was my car damaged, it was also left dirty even after going through the car wash. I am beyond annoyed and disgusted with the way that they treat their customers who have been loyal to their business. And it is unacceptable. If you are ok with assuming ANY and ALL damage to your vehicle while at the car wash including foreign objects being attached to your vehicle, then have at it. I'll be pursuing other car washes in the area with better customer service. read more

UPDATE: The business covered my repairs, quickly and with no hassle, I received the check yesterday 7/17. I appreciate their prompt resolution. I've been here several times and it's pretty good, I like the pre-wash by hand, they even took the time to get the bird "stuff" off my car. But today the young man running the belt made a mistake and caused my car and a large truck in front of me to come in contact on the belt, when I looked up an noticed I hit the brakes, it took a couple of minutes to get things back on track, both me and the truck had to leave the bay and come back around to get our washes. I heard a crunching noise and told the young man and young woman, they both advised they didn't see anything wrong with my car. However, as I dried the car in the vacuum bay, there were two large gorges in between my grill opening, this is where my grill pressed against whatever that metal thing is that was hanging below the tag of the large truck in front of me. I filled out an incident report and was advised the manager would be back on Monday, the young lady who assisted was nice and personable. I truly hope I do not experience an issue geting my grill replaced and the business covering it. I will come back and update my review upon resolution. read more

I have been coming to the Mcdonough, GA Tidal Wave just about every day, for at least three consecutive months. I commute two and a half hours to and then back home from Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA daily; and stop here to wash my car before I go home for the evening. I purchased the complete wash with everything as you can imagine because of my commute. However, about a month ago; I noticed the hot wax was missing my car and just floating to the sides off of the panel above. At first I thought maybe just a fluke, until after about a week of this I spoke with the attendant; which was an older gentlemen and he told me that the pressure on the nozzles had to be adjusted and that he had contacted maintenance prior to my complaint, and it was supposed to be fixed. Two weeks later, still the same problem, I am paying for a product that I am NOT getting, and I feel cheated because the wax obviously is a very important part of the wash. If they cant get this rectified by the time my renewal comes around, I will be canceling and going to the rival Mister car wash in Lovejoy.
