If you decide to let yourself go and sink then that will happen too. A facility can't force you to get better. Let's be honest, it can be quite difficult to seek therapy, and even more difficult to find the right therapist. I've seen a few therapist over the course of the year, but there is no other therapist like Jeffrey! We've had many life changing sessions where he has an arsenal of tools (e.g. psychological frameworks and theories) in his toolkit to get to the root of your issues while maintaining his down-to-earthness such that you can be the best version of yourself. Jeffrey is extremely professional, productive, approachable, and accommodating. He's also an amazing listener and can say some profound things that will leave you wanting more sessions. I was giving no specific instructions on where to go and simply sought out the Loch Raven facility. I thought it was similar to the fort Meade VA patient outpost, but it's larger and is more of like a campus. The first place I went to, that woman tried to direct me to where I needed to go, but it took me a minute to find it. Once I finally found the physical therapy section, I was good to go. I checked in and the woman said, 'okay you're checked in'. Again I advised, where do I go? My assigned physical therapist came out and got me and we began our work. She was very friendly, polite, and compassionate. There were about four other therapists working with their clients there in the same space. There was a lot going on. I did feel that my needs were addressed and I left there with clear instructions on what I needed to do to get myself better.
