Was greeted by a friendly gent upon entering and they have a small change area for you to use right behind the counter if required. He asked me if I wanted the hem length to break (slightly longer with a small crease in the pants) or just straight to the heel (for a cleaner/polished look). I really appreciate this level of detail and have never been asked this in over 25 yrs of getting pants hemmed. My questions about taking in an OTR suit were also well answered. I will definitely come here for all my future tailoring needs.

I asked how can this happen, and being a long time customer I expected a resolution, instead the owner told me "I should be more careful when u wear my clothes and they only dry clean, not miracles"! this is the second time I have brought my item to this place. the first they did not clean it after a week and I had to rerurn to pick it up when I pointed this out to them on the spot. that time they did not destroy it. Aboud this place by All cost, you will be scammed to think you items have been cleaned and if it is cleaned it will be destroys and the owner will blame you for bringing in your items to be cleaned. this is Not a professional establishment and they have no recourse for their scams towards customers!! The woman that works here makes an "ah"/"huh"/"eh" grunt-noise as a reply to questions, and speaks crudely when she does something other than said noise. Pricing is variable, and in my opinion, questionable. I wanted to know the cost of an alteration. A simple zipper replacement typically costs about $5-10 and can be done within the day at most places, but with this place it may hack on additional costs for "assessment," "difficulty" and the like. Apparently, it takes a minimal of two days to replace. To add insult to injury, the cost of the alteration cannot be figured out upfront because of said "assessment" of the "difficulty." A ballpark range could not be provided for me. Granted, there are some communication barriers. The woman did not want to talk to me. She was being as unhelpful as she could be with my questions, and at the same time, trying to get me pay more (for what I felt to be) a fairly simple procedure. However, I couldn't help but feel as though she were trying to milk me because I couldn't speak Chinese. Dry cleaning is convenient if you live nearby. Parking is available on the plaza lot. Closes at 7pm weekdays. Though I'm certain that Sheppard Dry Cleaners were capable of replacing my zipper, I decided to go elsewhere for the alteration. I wasn't comfortable. That, and it's probably best to get alterations done at some place where you can communicate clearly with the tailor.

I came to Toronto after my sister passed away and in haste brought a suit for my husband that required cleaning. What made my experience unique was that I dropped the suit off and requested it for the day before Good Friday. When I did not show the attendant attempted to call me and when I did not answer, he left a note on the door of the cleaners asking me to call him so he could meet me there on the holiday. Recalling this reminds me of how kind and considerate people can be to others. It was a difficult time for me and I wanted to let you know how grateful I was for your compassion and concern. I take my winter coats to get cleaned here every year before putting them into storage. They do a…read moregreat job and the prices are very competitive -- certainly lower than any downtown places I tried before. They charged me $18 per coat (one is synthetic down, the other is wool-cashmere blend). I have also had my cashmere sweaters and dressed dry cleaned here. I don't know if I would bring anything super delicate or beaded here, but for the basics, this place is great. They usually have your stuff ready in ~4-5 days. Be careful, it's really easy to miss the place and their sign on the plaza just says "Cleaners". It's on the west side just South of Shepherd in a small plaza.
