I'm thankful that CVS is a nationwide drug store chain with many locations across the USA. With that said, I arrived here on a Sunday morning in late January 2023 from Harrington, Delaware. I needed to purchase things that would help me recover from an incident that left me with lower back pain. CVS usually has a lot of the everyday stuff most people need on a daily basis, usually food and other household items that are essential for daily life. My experience here at this CVS location in Annapolis, Maryland probably took no more than 10 minutes, as my friend and I looked for what I needed and checked out to do other things in the city. The store itself reminds me of the ones we have back home in Honolulu. I guess they arrange the store a certain way, so any CVS location looks all the same, no matter where you are. For the most part though, the ambiance felt like a grocery store type of vibe but not really. As weird as it sounds and the pain from my low back at the time, it was nice and enjoyable to be here trying to find the quick solution to my medical maladies. The service here was good and friendly, while being typical and professional at the same time. Just want the pain to over! The overall experience here at this particular CVS Drug store was good and casual. The store itself was arranged in a way that you could find what you were looking for within 10-15 minutes without help, which is what my friend and I did that January 2023 day. This CVS is pretty cool And located in the center of town, where the state capitol building is nearby. They have quite the assortment of things you'd normally find at the neighborhood drug store, which CVS tries to be everyday. I am familiar with the CVS name since they have locations in Honolulu, HI. During my experience here in Annapolis, Maryland, the purchase of pain management products were at the top of my shopping list of the day. I also purchased a drink and offered my friend one too, since she was driving me around. CVS carries both name brand and generics, when it comes to pharmaceuticals, as well as food products and other everyday items, so that there's some disparity and the customer has some bit of choice as far as what to buy and what the prices are. I didn't think that the store itself had central air conditioning but then again, I was there in late January - winter time but balmy. It was a good visit under interesting circumstances. While I preferred to have come here for other things, it is what it is. Pain management is a real thing for many people and for me, I'm glad that CVS was there to meet my needs. This CVS location is centralized at 123 Main Street in Annapolis, Maryland. It's on the main drag of the city and near the state capitol and the US Naval Academy. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. There is mostly street parking here and luckily for me and my friend, we secured a spot directly in front of the store on a brisk Sunday morning before 9am. It was pretty cool. If Annapolis has a local bus system, you can use that to get around the city and get here if you need things. From out of town? Use Amtrak or greyhound for a cheaper alternative. If not, Uber and Lyft works too. CVS is a well established brand and you can be sure that they will have what you need everyday! 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.0 stars for the service and 5.0 stars for being open before 9am on a Sunday morning in January. I had been using prescription services that delivered to my home, but this was no longer available to me. My immediate thought was to go the friendliest drug store near me and that is the Walgreens in Lusby, Md. All of sudden there is a shortage of the estrogen patch I have relied on and absolutely require. I somehow knew that the pharmacy at this particular location would be able to answer questions and help me navigate the best solution. My initial contact was with Tina. Tina was patient, polite and caring she saw that the coupon I thought I could use was not functioning. Enter Dr. Arnold the pharmacist, he also pointed out to me that I was using the substitute brand prescription patch incorrectly. He additionally felt that he could place an order and obtain the original prescription, the generic I had been using. This was wonderful news ! It only took an additional 24 hours and not only was the original prescription delivered to Walgreens, the price was far more reasonable than the option I had the day prior. I am just so thankful and appreciative of Dr. Arnold and Tina for the care and attention they provided me. It is a longer drive for me to see them, but it is so, so worth it !!!! While so much has changed in our country so recently and there are so many more protections unavailable, having access to a quality experience with a pharmacist is precious. The team and all of the workers at this drug store are true champions and heroes of our community.

3/31 update. This…read moreparticular Walgreens is completely overwhelmed by the necessity to both dispense prescriptions and conduct covid vaccines simultaneously. Apparently there was no addition to the staff of the pharmacy section. What this means for customers is a long, long wait to pick up prescriptions. I stopped by yesterday to pick up a prescription which their system had texted me was ready. So I went to the drive-thru, only to read a sign saying come inside to pick up your prescription. So I parked the car and go inside, where there is one line for all prescriptions and for all the people registering for their vaccine appointments. There are easily 12 people milling about, and because there isn't enough room between the shelving units and the pharmacy windows there's no way for people to know if they are in the queue or not. The pharmacy employees are great; and the situation I described above is not their fault. I blame corporate. So my advice to you is go elsewhere for your prescriptions until this vaccination chaos is resolved.
