I have been to this particular Walgreens in the past. I love that you are greeted instantly when you enter the store and how organized and clean the entire space is. I had been using prescription services that delivered to my home, but this was no longer available to me. My immediate thought was to go the friendliest drug store near me and that is the Walgreens in Lusby, Md. All of sudden there is a shortage of the estrogen patch I have relied on and absolutely require. I somehow knew that the pharmacy at this particular location would be able to answer questions and help me navigate the best solution. My initial contact was with Tina. Tina was patient, polite and caring she saw that the coupon I thought I could use was not functioning. Enter Dr. Arnold the pharmacist, he also pointed out to me that I was using the substitute brand prescription patch incorrectly. He additionally felt that he could place an order and obtain the original prescription, the generic I had been using. This was wonderful news ! It only took an additional 24 hours and not only was the original prescription delivered to Walgreens, the price was far more reasonable than the option I had the day prior. I am just so thankful and appreciative of Dr. Arnold and Tina for the care and attention they provided me. It is a longer drive for me to see them, but it is so, so worth it !!!! While so much has changed in our country so recently and there are so many more protections unavailable, having access to a quality experience with a pharmacist is precious. The team and all of the workers at this drug store are true champions and heroes of our community. read more

3/31 update. This particular Walgreens is completely overwhelmed by the necessity to both dispense prescriptions and conduct covid vaccines simultaneously. Apparently there was no addition to the staff of the pharmacy section. What this means for customers is a long, long wait to pick up prescriptions. I stopped by yesterday to pick up a prescription which their system had texted me was ready. So I went to the drive-thru, only to read a sign saying come inside to pick up your prescription. So I parked the car and go inside, where there is one line for all prescriptions and for all the people registering for their vaccine appointments. There are easily 12 people milling about, and because there isn't enough room between the shelving units and the pharmacy windows there's no way for people to know if they are in the queue or not. The pharmacy employees are great; and the situation I described above is not their fault. I blame corporate. So my advice to you is go elsewhere for your prescriptions until this vaccination chaos is resolved. read more

I have been getting my meds filled here for a number of years and in the past year or so their service has declined remarkably. Their automated system does not work! I called in for a refill on a Sunday and was told that the doctor had to be notified and that the prescription would be ready on Tuesday. I called the automated system Tuesday night to confirm that the refill was done. The automated system said that there was NO record of my prescription having been called in so I put in the request again. Again I was told by the automated system that the doctor needed to be notified and the meds would be ready on that coming Friday. I was in my doctor's office on that Friday and asked if they had approved the request and was told YES. Unable to get to the pharmacy on Friday or Saturday I called on Sunday and was told there was no record of me having put in the request. Their automated system had no record of the two request I had previously made. I then spoke directly to a not very pleasant pharmacist who said they had no record of my two requests and no record of the doctor approving the refill. So now I have to call the doctor directly tomorrow and have them call the pharmacy and tell them to do their job. I would not recommend this pharmacy. They are incompetent and not customer friendly. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

I don't know what the issue is but over the last year the pharmacy has consistently had issues with getting meds filled in a timely manner. I only get meds that are prescribed for an immediate need as I do ongoing meds through a mail order pharmacy. So when I get a prescription it is because I am ill and in need of a medication quickly. At one point I was having an issue with my asthma and needed a stronger medication basically in order to breathe well. If I had not looked it up online, I would never have known that the medication was not gonna be ready for several days. I ended up going to the Prince Frederick store to get it sooner. This has been consistent for even medication such as antibiotics that common. And all my experience with pharmacies across the United States I've never had one that consistently did not have medication's available within 8 hours. Today is the last day I'll be using this pharmacy. read more

I went by the drive-in to hand delivery a medicine request for my wife. The clerk was unintelligible when speaking over the speaker. I asked for her to tell me what she said again and she got a little huffy. Not very popular when it comes to customer satisfaction. I am not sure what tarining Walgreens does with employee training but they certainly missed the boat with this clerk. read more

This location was awesome from when it first opened in 2008 until 2014 then it went downhill fast. This is the slowest pharmacy in Southern Maryland. I don't know how many times I was told to go to Prince Frederick because they were out of stock or had some kind of other issue. The managers here are really miserable and you can hear them grumbling when the pharmacy line is regularly wrapped around the store. I miss Whitesell and Friendly pharmacy. read more

This store used to be awesome when it first opened. Since about 2016 it has gone down hill fast. Always new people working in the pharmacy that always seems to be short staffed. Lines of cars onto Rousby Hall road when busy. The Solomons CVS and Giant Pharmacy across the street however is just as bad. They just got a new manager hopefully he can get it together. Front of store has lots of itema out of stock often but staff is friendly. read more

I've never been into a Walgreens so poorly managed with people so focused on showing their contempt for their customers. Shannon, the pharmacy manager and Scott, apparently the store manager, are miserable people who clearly have not had things turn out in their life the ways they hoped and now take it out in their job. I hope they find the peace they are looking for. You however should find a different Walgreens if you need to visit one. read more

This location is awful. The drive through is completely incompetent, with lines of cars often backed up out of the parking lot. This wouldn't be such a problem if the pharmacy was able to quickly handle the customers. Unfortunately, this is never the case. From the photo provided it took over 75 minutes before my car even reached the drive through window. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this location at all cost. read more

I would give this ZERO stars if I could. I sat in the drive through pharmacy for 25 minutes we only moved one car with about 4 other cars still in front of me. I called in to the store just to let them know. Told them I understand that they are busy and things happen but I wanted to let them know. She said someone is working the drive through but maybe the person was being held up. I recommended they go inside then instead of holding up the whole line. I will NEVER use them again. Earlier today I went to CVS! Another car & I we're in and out of the drive through within 8 minutes! Update: After FINALLY getting to the front 35 minutes later!!!! They still didnt have my perception ready which they originally said would be ready at 2:30pm! It's 5pm!!! They said give them 30 minutes. Beyonddd angry! This place is a shit show! read more

The pharmacist can't even determine what the contraindications are for the covid19 vaccine that's they are offering to the public in their store! That's lunacy. Walgreens in Lusby is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with, been pick up the same medicine from Lusby Location and Prince Frederick Location for months for approx $150.00 and now the manger in The Lusby location is telling us we cannot use our discount card and it is $300.00 that ridicilous, I will never use them again read more

SLOW. I'm changing pharmacies because I cannot stand coming here. It's always at least 15 minutes to pick up a simple prescription.

I want to give 0 stars! The line is always long, takes forever to just pick up whether you come in or use drive through. The lady pharmacist with the heavy accent is a racist or has stereotyped me on TWO occassions twice my insurance would not cover a prescription and she refused to allow me to purchase it. One of the medications was a weekend dosage of ADHD meds for my son which was lower than his weekday/school dose. The other was for tramadol which I was prescribed due to a dental procedure because I am allergic to codeine and cant take NSAIDS. They never call to say the meds aren't covered or there is an issue, wait until you get there, sit in line forever then tell you its not covered and no you can't purchase it. Then when the doc tries to get through they get a hang up or a recording saying they are having difficulties. For the mouth rinse I was prescribed she gave me the correct prescription with someone elses name, address and phone number on it. Told me to bring it back, I did she took the bottled switched the label and handed it back but I already took a picture of it. ONce when I was released from the hospital in Annapolis (near my work) after my appendix rupturing and having it removed she refused to fill my medication because it was from out of the area. read more

I placed a prescription order on Thursday for three meds, three month supply each. The phone call said it'd be ready anytime after 3:45. I arrived at 4:30 to be told they were finishing up and that it would be just a few minutes. I sat in the pharmacy area for an hour, before I had to ask them where my meds were. I also was not the only one that had been waiting an hour. They found them, and two of the prescriptions were 5 days out of the 90 day supply!! It took them a whole 5-6 hours to get 5 days worth of medicine! I came back today to pick up the rest, and one guy inside saw me immediately when I walked up, and didn't start walking to me until 10 minutes had gone by. As he started walking up to the counter, I walked out and decided to go through the drive-thru because people seem to be given faster service through that. It was faster, but there is no reason to give such slow service inside when only one person is standing there and four pharmacists are working! I'm ready to change pharmacies!! read more
