I have been struggling lately to find my medication in stock anywhere, and maybe it was a blessing in disguise because I found Tidewater Pharmacy in my search. I had to call them 3 times in the same morning and never did I get anything but friendly service. It's a small pharmacy with such charm from the moment you walk in with gifts and such to purchase. I have yet to have any complaints about this Pharmacy. I have to come here to get some specialized medications, and it is a nice quaint little pharmacy and is usually not very busy. The staff has always been friendly. Some medications they can compound and sell them to you for cheaper than the regular medication, in case your insurance doesn't cover it. They also have these extremely comfortable reclining couch-like chairs that I love to sit in and wait whenever I need to wait for a prescription. Ask your doctor if your prescriptions can be filled here, because it is much more pleasant to come here than to go to a big chain store like CVS. read more

They are not responsible with preparing prescriptions when they say they will be ready. I went to pick up a prescription I called in two days ago and was told it would be ready that afternoon. I came in two days later to pick it up and apparently it was never even made and was told I had to wait until tomorrow to get it. This is the third time this has happened to me. Took my daughter here to get her first Covid vaccine, and everything went smooth. I was told to come back three weeks later, no appointment needed, for her second vaccine. I attempted to accomplish that today. When I arrived, there was someone in front of me in line. Of course, I waited. And I again waited as a woman came in with her 2 sons (behind me) and approached a tech typing away on a computer to have her sons vaccinated. Then, another woman came in with her daughter to have her vaccinated, and I felt I had to say something since I had been standing there and no one had attempted to help me. When I said I was there to have my daughter's second Covid vaccine, I was told they only do children's Covid vaccines on tuesdays and thursdays. I then asked why the other children in front of me were able to get theirs. I was asked how old my daughter is - (7). To which the tech replied that they only vaccinate 10 years old and up on fridays. WOW. Horrible customer customer service. Sweetgrass Pharmacy now has another loyal customer. read more

When it comes to customer service, this pharmacy can't be beat. These guys are smart, friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. Because this is a small, independent shop, they don't stay open into the late hours of the night. So plan accordingly. But they do provide free delivery of all medications! In addition to compounding, they can fill your regular scripts and have a small selection of your typical over the counter items including first aid and mobility assists (wheelchairs, walkers, etc). The store is very clean and well organized. It's easy to drive by, so look for the Trader Joes and you'll find these guys right next door. I usually park in the TJ's lot which is adjacent to Tidewater. Truly, though, when it comes to customer service I can't say enough nice things. A five star review will have to suffice! read more

It is amazing how professional, kind, and amazing Chad and all the staff are. As a client there Chad went above and beyond to help my daughter get a medication she really needed and left at home (4 hrs. away). He provided her with enough to get her through her visit here and it meant so much that someone cared enough to help out in a very stressful situation. Now that I am working with a local physician who uses LOTS of compound medications I am even more impressed!!! Great service and great prices as well. Just like the old hometown pharmacies. I had to pick up a prescription the doctor had prescribed for after my husband's surgery on Monday, I literally pulled into the parking lot at 6:29 (they close at 6:30). I rushed in, immediately apologized for coming in so late, but Chad welcomed me and reassured me that it was not a problem and he seemed genuine, not fake and just being polite. He got my prescription, asked me if I had any questions, went on to say how the doctor is the one that came up with the combination for the medication and how to use it. Too bad I came in so late, I might have browsed around the store and shopped. I apologized again after checking out and Chad again said no problem, give us a call if you have any questions. This pharmacy is so wonderful for many reasons! The staff is so personable and friendly!! I like the option to have delivery or my prescriptions mailed. That really saves me time from my busy day. I also like being able to refill my prescriptions on-line. I always get a confirmation text or an email whenever my prescriptions are ready. My doctor called in a compound prescription for me to Tidewater that is required for a surgery I had in order to properly heal. I spent 2 weeks trying to contact them. They sent 1 text message that my phone filtered as spam, and never tried again to get in touch with me. After I finally got in touch with them, I spoke to Cheryl who told me the prescription was just under $80. I unfortunately cannot afford that and the doctors office told me I wouldn't be charged. So I asked them if they could just do half of the prescription, just like I've had to do at other compouding pharmacies, and she refused. After begging her to try, Cheryl asked the owner Chad, who said no. I have never in my life seen a pharmacy that would not fill half of a prescription (knowing I can't get the other half later) in order to help someone. This is my first and my last experience with them. I will definitely continue to use Dottie's or Medicine Man as they do care about people healing properly. I hope the best for this company with only being worried about the big dollar, and not actually helping. read more

I went to get bedrails for my father's bed since he is coming home from the hospital and needed them right away. Tidewater has them ! They were so helpful and they even helped me put them in my care . Would highly recommend them and will use them if I need any other medial products. read more
