He tried to change the charter 2 days before the trip while I was inflight. I asked if he could wait an hour until I landed and speak with the rest of my party. His response was "he doesn't chill man, find someone else". Typical salty "capt" on another 22' that you can find anywhere. Don't waste your time with these guys, there are better out there. I've booked and been on several guided hunting trips and understand professionalism isn't always there but this was just straight up rude and selfish. Don't let him do it to you too.

Upon arrival for our 4 hour charter, Captain Joe first went over safety guidelines, including the location of the adult lifejackets, flare gun, kill switch, etc, in the event of an emergency. He provided life jackets for my kids as well. After getting locked and loaded, we headed out from Walker Marina to the Caloosahatchee River. He was very knowledgeable, informative, and aware of his surroundings. He knew history about the area, and how to handle the boat well in traffic conditions and choppy waters. He took us to two inlet areas, filled with mangroves hiding good fish. He provided 2 waters per passenger, as well as rods, reels, shrimp and pinfish bait, and licensure. We caught tons of catfish, several snapper, several convict fish (sheepshead?), and a caverelle jack fish. We ended up taking 5 fish home. He offered to filled them, but we preferred to take them whole, and deep fry / grill them. We cooked them a few hours later, and they were delicious!!!! Fed 4 adults and 2 kids with one little 4 hour trip. Captain Joe really knew what he was doing! He was cool, calm, collected, and made you feel very comfortable the whole time. He was genuinely kind and a good person, not pushy or rushing. He helped us re-bait and cast as needed. He even assisted our 3 and 6 year olds with catching a fish, and letting them reel it in. All in all, we would HIGHLY recommend Captain Joe, with Fincham Charters. We plan to utilize him again for future fishing Charters in a couple of months.

Captain Josh is a one man owner/Captain of his boat. For those familiar with the true fisherman…read moretype, then you know the type of person Josh is. He spends most days on the water and has marked many a wave point to know where the fish are and aren't. Josh will definitely put you on fish. How many you get in the boat is kind of dependent upon your own skills to some extent. Josh had the patience of a saint re-tying hooks on our lines all day long. I didn't know it was possible for us to lose as many fish snapping lines and getting snags as we did. Josh is a family man, supporting his family on the water. He's cordial with you throughout the day, but he's there to put you on fish more than to make small talk all day long. As a true fisherman is, he was a little quick at times to want to grab your pole when he saw you doing something that was likely going to cost you your fish. I totally get this and I'm not saying it was a bad thing that he assisted when he did. Our bite was steady throughout the day and we brought in quite a few fish. We should have brought in even more, except for our own inexperience. Josh even fillets your catch for you on your return to shore. We definitely enjoyed our family experience with Josh as our Guide for the day.

There was a chance we were…read moregoing to get stormed out but Josh was in contact all morning keeping me in the loop about what he was thinking and put us at ease. This was great. The boat is clean, safe and rides dry even in some decent chop. Plenty of room for our group to move around and sit comfortably when we headed out to fish. Josh provides everything, all we needed was snacks for ourselves and the kids. We took off and headed to the beach to catch bait. The kids loved this part. Our group included 3 adults and 3 kids, and Josh was great to everyone. We had varying abilities as far as fishing goes and Josh was able to easily adapt to help the ones who needed a lot of help and back off and let the more experienced anglers do their thing. He wasn't pushy or getting in anyone's way, we all know he's the expert but he let us enjoy the fishing for ourselves but knew when to hop in and help out when it was needed. He never hesitated to hand off his rod as soon as he had a fish so everyone had a chance to reel them in. Josh knows where to fish. This is very important around here because while there are a lot of fish, knowing where they're concentrated is important. We tried a few spots, had some success, but kept moving until we hit the jackpot. He had us on a spot where we could barely get our bail closed before we had a fish on. It was nonstop fish. Snapper, grouper & jacks. All-in-all it was a fantastic afternoon. Most importantly the kids had an absolute blast and are already asking to go out again with Captain Josh (they just call him captain). Without a doubt our go-to captain for bay fishing down here. Josh delivered an A+ experience and we can't wait to grill up the all snapper we brought home.

We where nervous that the waters wouldn't produce but Captain Rich Fox was confident that he could put us on multiple species of fish even after the cold front. His knowledge of the local waters and his understanding of what the fish would do in these tempatures landed us over 14 Snook, 1 slot keeper Red (26.50") and a ton of sheep's head. We spent 2 1/2 hours riding out, fished for an hour and a half, and rode back in another two hours. We stopped twice during the course of the trip. There was no rhyme or reason for the direct ride. We never checked any spots. Just a ride. I caught 2 - 9 inch fish and my cousin didn't catch a one. There were 10 people on the boat that holds 40+.That was a sign of a poorly operated charter. I believe approximately 8 fish were caught in total today. All 9 or 10 inch fish! The encounter today was spot on regarding other negative reviews. I've been on many charters over my 66 years. The Sea Trek was by far the very worst experience. Not sure how they remain.

Many of the people on board didn't want to unhook their own fish so they were working hard being only 2 mates for the entire boat. The captain was nice enough to show a younger boy the wheelhouse. They allowed us to use the shark poles which is very unlikely on a party boat which was very much enjoyed.
