After about 5 months it all went downhill, consistent internet spikes was paying for 15mbp down and 3mbp up. On a good day I was getting anything from 6-9 down and 1.4 up. On most days it could be anything From 2-5 down and anything below 1 up. This has been a constant problem for the last 6 months and they still can't fix the problem. I've also managed to call their tier 1 tech support, who then agrees that their is a problem with my speeds, and then says it's a tier 2 tech's problem. They then go on to tell me that I will get a call back from a tier 2 tech after and never Do! It's happened 3 TIMES! Really frustrating. They also don't know why I keep dropping connection every 5-15 mins. Update: they tried telling me it may be my router so they've had me straight wired to my pc for the past two days and still the same LMAO. (Picture for proof)

And if you did have a problem, Dish was always responsive and willing to adjust my bill if I had problems. Also, when rates increased, as they did regularly, the CS people would work with you to find a plan that was affordable. All of that has changed. Actually getting thru the mindless questions from an AI generated app, to speak with a human is quite the challenge! And when you finally Do get a person, they are in India I believe, and sometimes difficult to understand and impossible to get your questions asked because the conversations are scripted and if you don't follow their script, you get nothing. Today my service was cut off because I had an outstanding balance. Paid it via phone and was told service back on in 15 minutes. Four hours later I turn on the TV and nothing. Restarted the whole system, but still no picture or sound. After being on the phone for an hour, I finally got a signal but no Guide to see what's on! Tech had me plugging and unplugging everything, and generally trouble shooting for an hour! All in all, I would say Dish Network is definitely not the company it once was. their prices are high and go up continuously, the customer service needs to be completely revamped, and moved back to the US, and if they want to stay in business, they had better take a hard look at exactly what they are providing for $130 per month, that we can't get somewhere else!!

Problems like hidden fees are not hidden at all as it is clearly mentioned in their agreement about the payment processing @ $3 per payment monthly. Which can be simply avoided if checks are mail directly or sent digitally from your bank. By the way most bank offer free digital checking at no cost and is a great way to save on processing fees at most places that have recurring payment. This internet provider used to be too good to be true. As of last night when the service went down…read moreand NO one was monitoring the system and no one created a recording to let customers know what was going on (like they used to) I'm changing my mind about this company. Sadly, it seems to have gone way so many companies do...down! System is back up 12 hours later. I called the local Wills Point, TX phone number to find out what had happened and ask why there was no one on a recorded statement explaining the issue and when internet would be back online. I got someone that I couldn't understand half of what he said and wouldn't let me speak to someone that I could understand. I clearly wasn't in Texas anymore. When asked about last night's connectivity issue, he wasn't allowed to tell me that either. I'm not sure why he even answered the phone! Can not and will not recommend this IP. Too bad. It was the best one by far. Not anymore :(
