Our previous broker was unresponsive, and when our insurance company tried to block us from renewing our coverage, citing an "unlivable" roof (despite us having repaired it years ago and providing proof), that broker was the absolute worst to deal with. They wouldn't respond until our coverage had already lapsed and we had to scramble to find new insurance. To add insult to injury, they then tried to charge us for a renewed coverage we never agreed to! All that to say, when we finally made the switch to Mach 5 Insurance Services, it was a NIGHT AND DAY difference! Emails and phone calls are responded to incredibly FAST, which is a breath of fresh air. We worked primarily with Shannon, who is the office manager and hands down the most professional and competent insurance agent we have ever had the pleasure of working with. We love Mach 5 so much that we decided to switch the policies for both of our homes over to them, specifically requesting a change of agent so that everything would be handled by one office and with their team of honest and responsible agents. At first, we were devastated, but then as we read through this announcement, we noticed it was so poorly written, that we assumed it was some type of scam. I contacted the administrator of our medical insurance, who knew nothing about our insurance being discontinued. I then contacted the office that handles our authorizations for medical care; they knew nothing about it. Finally, I contacted our insurance company. The gentleman I spoke with was very kind and said, he didn't know anything about it, but he took the time to call the office that handles the authorizations to verify if they new anything about this so-called insurance company. They said no they didn't. Finally, he called J Johnston Insurance to get it straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. This whole time, he kept me on the line so I could hear what was said and could interject whenever I pleased. The person he spoke to hesitated and mumbled several times saying that they had not sent the announcement, when their name and address were on the return portion of the envelope, along with their phone number on the letter. He then let the person speak to me. She immediately tried to get me to sign up for medical insurance with them. The gentleman who had been listening immediately put her on hold and said this was all a scam, which I agreed. My insurance administrator said the same thing. These people are trying to take advantage of senior citizens and ruining their medical insurance. I believe I will be contacting several insurance fraud boards or whomever handles these situations or Consumer Affairs. These unethical sales practices should not be tolerated.

I reminded him of the price he quoted me; he went back to his supervisor and honored the original quoted price (as he should). Then a month later -- after I had signed all the paperwork and had the insurance for a month, an underwriter called me and asked some questions. Days later I got a letter saying my auto insurance was going up by $77 -- with no explanation. I have tried contacting my agent to ask why -- through calls, texts, voicemails, and emails -- no response for 13 days. Yesterday I tried calling the supervisor -- no response again! This is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Farmers decided to CANCEL all landlord/rental insurance policies in California. Tim's office offered me a quote through Foremost Insurance (their "commercial landlord" division). The quote and bill they sent were over three times higher than my previous Farmers policy. The "Foremost" bill stated I could pay online or by check if I wanted to proceed (see image below). I did not agree to this policy, and I found coverage elsewhere. Despite NEVER authorizing Foremost or Farmers to enroll me in this new policy or to withdraw funds, Foremost took the ENTIRE PREMIUM amount directly from my business bank account. This means Farmers GAVE MY PRIVATE BANKING information to Foremost WITHOUT MY CONSENT. It has now been 20 days and I still have not received a refund! This is a serious lapse in ethics, a breach of trust, an unauthorized withdrawal, electronic funds transfer fraud, breach of contract and violation of privacy laws. Today is August 15, 2025, and the last time I received an update was on August 4, 2025, where Tim Weidenkeller said he would follow up with Foremost and get back to me. Well, I'm still waiting on the follow up and more importantly WHERE IS MY REFUND FOR MONEY THAT WAS STOLEN FROM MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT?
