The Bride and Groom under their rainbow :)
    Katie K.

I hosted a Bridal Shower at Tiffany Juliet House on 4/2/16 and it couldn't have gone more perfectly. Corrine and her team were super welcoming, helpful and attentive. Bill even went out of his way to sooth our nervous bride who doesn't like being the center of attention. We did an afternoon formal tea with soup, salad and finger sandwiches with a champagne welcome and the food was wonderful, the drinks were perfect and we couldn't have had a better day. Corrine's attention to detail made everything go smoothly and we never felt rushed or out of place. And if we couldn't have had a better day at the end of the shower, the sky gave us a double rainbow! A good omen to follow a wonderful day!

Couch/Window in the front of the house. Perfect for pictures.

My mom and sisters had my bridal shower here this past weekend and it was just beautiful! The house itself is gorgeous with perfect windows, floors, fireplace, and couches. What makes it extra special are the little details. The little hidden corners, the individual teacups at each place setting, and the food...oh the food. There were many things that stood out about the food but the best thing I ate was the ricotta and strawberry stuffed french toast! It was heaven. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Anything we needed they got for us. They took pictures for us and were always checking in. Thank you Tiffany Juliet House for making my bridal shower simply elegant and beautiful. Something I will always remember!

I threw my best friend's baby shower here a few weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is so beautiful and cozy. Corrine and her husband Bill were such a pleasure to work with. They have a wonderful staff and the food was amazing. People are still taking about it. If you are looking for somewhere special to host an event, look no further, you won't be disappointed.

Five star service and food. I had my daughters bridal shower here in May 2019 and folks can't stop talking about how great it was! Tastefully decorated venue, food delicious, service unbelievable. Every detail was taken care of by the owners, Corinne and her husband. I highly recommend to anyone who is thinking about going here, you will not be disappointed.

My mother and bridal party recently threw me a "Breakfast at Tiffany's"-themed bridal shower at the Tiffany Juliet House and I could not have asked for a better location for my bridal shower to be held. Every guest left saying it was the "best shower they have ever been to" and gave rave reviews about the food! THE SPACE: The house itself is absolutely beautiful- it's over 100 years old and Corrine and her husband, Bill, have made it into a beautiful event space-- maintaining the charming, vintage details while being modern and having a perfect layout for hosting events(it's also a green building and environmentally friendly!) It's obvious that this venue was a work of love as evident through all of the fine details-- from the silk-wrapped light bulbs, beautiful chandeliers/light fixtures throughout, custom-designed curtains, perfect full-windowed alcove for displaying a cake, and the list goes on and on! On the day of my shower, after walking up the stairs, onto the porch and through the front door, you step into a beautiful, light-filled room with a table set up full of mini scones, muffins and croissants with sweet cream butter and jam, coffee/tea and additional tables/couches for seating- so guests can mingle and enjoy refreshments-- there's a charming china cabinet with vintage teapots/cups on display and a fireplace where childhood photos of us were displayed. Walking back into the main ballroom, there's ample space( I believe it can seat somewhere around 80+ people?), chiavari chairs, and each table had the most adorable vintage teacups! Overall, the entire space was perfect space-- it was so bright and airy (every photo was beautiful because the lighting was amazing)! One of the best things about the space, is the privacy- the entire venue is yours for your event. THE FOOD: DELICIOUS!! For my shower, there were two options chosen for meals-- Eggs Benedict over Crab Cake with Charon Sauce or Strawberry and Ricotta Stuffed French Toast with Vanilla Infused Syrup(my mom said that she was given a long list to choose from with a wide range of options). I had the strawberry and ricotta stuffed french toast- it was probably the best stuffed french toast I've ever had(often times with fillings- they tend to be overkill and so sweet that you feel sick after eating)- it was the perfect ratio of strawberry/ricotta, the french toast was perfectly cooked and not soggy! The bacon was nice&crispy(I ended up trying to steal some of my friend's bacon if they weren't fast enough-- I'm the future bride, I can do what I want ;-) ) As for the eggs benedict over crab cakes- it looked delicious, I didn't get to sample this but everyone said it was delicious! My Aunt and one of my bridesmaids have celiac and they were able to prepare absolutely delicious gluten-free variations! SERVICE: As I hadn't planned the shower, my mom filled me in and said that Corrine was so quick to respond to every email/phone call, was very flexible willing to do whatever you wanted and an absolute pleasure to work with. Throughout the entire event, Corrine took a very hands-on approach, making sure that everything was running as it should/making sure everyone was happy. Honestly, I have nothing but great things to say- I had the best bridal shower I could have asked for and cannot wait to hold future events at the Tiffany Juliet House- I highly recommend!

I just had my daughter's first birthday party at the Tiffany Juliet House and it was absolutely wonderful. From start to finish my dealings with Corrine were so easy. She is easily one of the nicest most accommodating people I've ever met. I told her exactly what I wanted and she went above and beyond to make it happen, even suggesting more details to make my vision perfect! The party was Shakespeare/ medieval themed since my daughter's name is Cordelia! We went over twice where all the decorations would go and how the food would be served, how we were going to set up the tables! I just loved being included in those decisions. On the actual party day, Corrine told me I could arrive early to set up so I took her up on that offer. I was allowed the entire upstairs which was huge! To get dressed in my medieval garb and get the decorations ready to be hung and placed. Once we got all that done, the party started! The passed butternut squash soup shooters were delicious and the cheeses were so yummy. There was sharp cheddar, Gouda, blue cheese, and Havarti dill with a different yummy cracker for each cheese... so not your average regular cheese plate by any means. After cocktail hour we went to the dining room and were called up by table to the pasta station where there was make your own pasta with delicious fresh ingredients and your choice of sauce and sirloin steak which was perfectly cooked. There was enough food for everyone in my party (48) to enjoy seconds! The wine was delicious all the food was great! After we sang happy birthday to my precious girl, they cut the cake we brought and brought out coffee. Everything was wonderful, we played charades and the kids enjoyed themselves. Everyone had fun. At the end of the night, Corrine let me choose one of her awesome teapots that she had setup as the centerpiece for the table. So my daughter got her very first teapot. I could not be more pleased with how everything went. I felt like I was home for an evening being catered to. It was great!

I hosted my sister's baby shower at the Tiffany Juliet House. Corrine was excellent and flexible to work with and the event was beautiful. We had mix and mingle time over mimosas when the guests began to arrive in the impressive front room area. The lunch was held in the back room and beautifully decorated with delicate tea cups as part of the place settings. The staff was helpful and attentive, and the guests commented on the great service as well as the superb food. Highly recommended for an elegant ladies' event! Thanks again!

Have you ever been the only guest at a bed and breakfast?-- it's a little awkward. However, the inn is just beautiful. My room (room 3) was large and luxurious, with a door to the balcony outdoors. It is all immaculately clean, and the bed was super soft. The owners did their best to be unobtrusive. I didn't eat breakfast with them, so I can't comment on the food. There's a coffee maker in the room as well as in the common area. I adored that I could walk out the door and be so close to the coffee shops, stores, etc in Glastonbury. I ate supper at Plan B burger bar, because it's a five minute walk. I would absolutely return here next time I need to stay in town.

My fiancee emailed her on that day to confirm and when she got no response, texted her, but still no response. We arrived on time and after a few minutes of waiting around, Pat appeared and said she had forgotten that we were coming or the reason why were there, even asking if we had an appointment. As I said, the grounds are very nice. We had what we thought was a good conversation and were excited about the prospects of putting together our special day. Pat said "her printer wasn't working" and she couldn't print out the prices and details, but said she would email us the specifics. Welp, we're still waiting. My fiancee even emailed her the next day to say that we enjoyed meeting with her and she would look out for the materials. NO RESPONSE. It's simple courtesy to get back to people, not go silent on them, wasting everyone's time and resources. She "might" be able to handle smaller events (maybe a birthday party), but her abysmal lack of communication certainly doesn't instill confidence. And she'll probably respond to this poor review with some excuse - it's probably about the only time she'll be willing to communicate with us.

The parking was incredibly convenient and directions to the Boathouse itself were very clear. We did have a small spot of difficulty finding the door to go to the upper level however. Once upstairs, the view of the CT River, East Hartford, and Hartford was spectacular. The late summer afternoon sun plus faint breeze made for a perfectly comfortable time. People mingled at standing tables and around the benches on the upper deck (and there were a respectable number of benches, which isn't often the case). Inside the event space were polished wooden floors and high ceilings. A coworker noted the restrooms were somewhat oddly placed behind a long hallway closed off by a door and there were some cobwebs in the window frames, but otherwise the space was quite nice. The staff at the bar on the deck poured wine just shy of the adjective "liberal" which was great. However, some other coworkers had to request adjustments of the food arrangement to prevent cross-contamination for those with allergies (adjustments were made promptly). The food - seasonal tapenade for appetizers and build-your-own pasta bar for the main - were well done otherwise with a good array of options. On the whole, a respectable event space on a scenic river. There were other groups actively using the rowing space/lower level, but you could barely tell because the upper level was high enough away.

When you come in, it is down the stairs going down to the left. I like the view of the lake! This place is clean, has a lot of space, friendly employees and nice, traditional rock music that is set at the right sound level. They have an ALL DAY Happy Hour from Sunday - Thursday! That's unheard of. For my first drink, I'm having a Cosmopolitan. This is very good! It's a bit lighter than normal and not as strong, but I like it! A cosmopolitan, or informally a cosmo, is a cocktail made with vodka (Benedict's here), Cointreau, cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed or sweetened lime juice. For my first food item, I'm having the "Chef Salad." This is huge! For $7?! What a deal! It came out pretty quick. The bartender says there portion sizes are pretty big for Happy Hour. He got that right! It's healthy and low carb too. Vegetables are crisp. This is not a common item you see on a Happy Hour menu! Omg is this good ! Chef salad (or chef's salad) is an American salad consisting of hard-boiled eggs, one or more varieties of meat (such as ham, turkey, chicken, or roast beef), tomatoes, cucumbers, and cheese, all placed upon a bed of tossed lettuce or other leaf vegetables. Several early recipes also include anchovies. A variety of dressings may be used with this salad. I've made the claim I can down 7 items on the food menu. Let's see! For my next food item, I'm having Geno's Meatballs. This is actually the owner's (Geno) grandmother's recipe! These are fantastic! Beautiful presentation! For my next drink, I'm having the Margarita. This is nice! Sour mix is fresh. It tastes good and has nice presentation! For my next food item, I'm having the Traditional Deviled Eggs . These are great! The dish is cold and has great presentation! These are delicious ! Next up, I'm having the Bogner's Chili Cheese Dog. I haven't had a good hot dog in a long time! Here's the Bogner story: "William Bogner Sr. and his wife Helen migrated from Italy to New York in 1925. William began working for Hebrew National and other sausage facilities perfecting his craft. Moving to Manchester Connecticut with his new family (sons William Jr, and Donald) he built by hand his slaughter house. William and his family worked the slaughterhouse selling fresh beef to local meat processors. Making sausages and wine became a passion. Friends and family would often come over to eat and drink the home made vino and sausages. In 1965 sons William Jr and Donald built their meat processing plant on Wetherell Street Manchester and used their fathers recipes to make sausage products still made today. William Jr. sons Kurt, Robert, & David bought the business in 1992 and also acquired Stanleys Nutmeg Brand & Angellina Sausage company. When two large local meat company's (Union Meat& Lewis Beef) ceased operations the Bogners hired their butchers and took over their marquee accounts. This enabled Bogners to become a full line center of the plate specialist that still exist today. Our burger blends and cuts of meat are made to our customer specifications with quick turn time. This allows operators to free up capitol from inventory and keep fresh product on hand. In 2002 the Bogners also expanded into the high end pet food business. With the same dedication to quality and customer service both businesses operate independently to this day." The couple next to me is raving about the food! They ordered the chips and guacamole and salsa, twin whiskey BBQ pork quesadillas and Buffalo cheddar tater tots. Next up, I'm having the Shrimp Cocktail. These are good! Nice size! Love the cocktail sauce, lemon squeeze and the bed of arugula. Next up, I'm having the Vodka Mule. This is really good! It has a [very] strong ginger taste! A Moscow mule is a cocktail made with vodka, ginger beer and lime juice, garnished with a slice or wedge of lime and a sprig of mint. The drink is a type of buck and is sometimes called a vodka buck. For my next [2] items, I'm having the McCooe's Burger Slider and the Crispy Chicken Slider. OMG ! Look at this presentation! Each comes standard with a pickle and chips. These are yummy! For dessert, I'm having the "Hollow Hot Fudge Sundae" made with Royal Vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate ganache (1/2 for me), spiced nuts and Luxardo cherries .
