The layout was very nice, we had a ballroom, a bar area, an outside courtyard, so lots of options for stumbling around.

Hello, I attended a…read morebaby shower at Tates in Middletown this past Sunday and wanted to share what an incredible job Kaylee did throughout the event. She was attentive from start to finish, consistently checking in around the room to make sure everything was taken care of and that guests had what they needed. One thing that especially stood out was her ability to read the room. When the mom-to-be began thanking guests, Kaylee thoughtfully lowered the music volume without being asked, allowing everyone to hear and enjoy the moment. She was professional, kind, and clearly took pride in providing excellent service. Her attention to detail helped make the event run smoothly and created a wonderful experience for everyone attending. I would absolutely return for future events and wanted to make sure her outstanding service was recognized.

After what seemed like forever...this issue was tackled and the restaurant was opened. I hope that what they have done continues to work. I have eaten here 5 or 6 times and attended Happy Hour a few times. The happy hour is decent. There is a special menu and drinks, but unfortunately, you need to be seated at the bar, not at the table next to it, not standing at the bar but seated at the bar. The staff is amazing, attentive and friendly. Also, it's happened a few times now where the hostess has given me a parking pass to go back to put into my car. Just a warning in case it's the day you visit. There are plenty of tables inside and outside seating has never been a problem unless you're trying to sit at the bar. The food has always been good with no reasons to complain. The portions are large and the adult drinks are never watered down. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like to have a water view with your meal.

There is a nice, cool, pool that the kids absolutely loved playing in. The campground is also pet friendly as long as you are in an RV or at a campsite. They don't allow pets in the cabin. That wasn't an issue for us this time, but it's something to consider if you are planning on traveling with pets. The cabins themselves are fine. Nothing extraordinary and nothing to nitpick about the structure. We only had a few issues. The first was with the AC. It was set to the lowest temperature, and it still couldn't keep the room cool. Granted, we came during a heat wave, so it's probably not so bad when it's just in the 80s or lower and the humidity isn't so high. The other issue was the mattresses on the bed. They were like prison mats. So uncomfortable, and even a two inch mattress topper didn't help. If you're a young person, then it probably isn't such a major problem, but if you are over 40 or have back pain, then you definitely want to avoid these cabins or plan to bring something that may help to make it more comfortable. The last issue is the cost. We stayed for two nights, and it cost over $300. My wife booked the cabin without my knowledge, so we were stuck with it, but for that price we could have stayed in a really nice hotel with amenities and towels and all of the things that are typically provided. In these cabins, there is toilet paper, a bath mat, and a couple of trash bags. You have to bring all of your own linens and towels. You also need to bring all of your own toiletries. And if you want coffee in the morning, either plan to bring a small machine and your own coffee, or you can take a 10-15 minute trip into one of the nearby towns. So, for the price and all things considered, I would not recommend booking a cabin here. The RV and campsites seem fine, and our in-laws paid a little less than half of what we paid for their RV site, so I would recommend it for that purpose.

Mark, the on-site Event Director at the farm is very attentive, accommodating, professional, and just plain nice! When we arrived, he had the venue's rooftop deck set up beautifully for cocktail hour, complete with the cutest strawberry linens, gorgeous hanging flower baskets, and miscellaneous supplies that were necessary to execute a seamless event. The tented reception area in the orchard, was also very lovely, located next to a small lake that was dotted with colorful Adirondack chairs that made the most beautiful sunset photo opp. Rest assured, Mark was there to capture that moment with his camera! Whether you are planning a special event or simply want to visit the farm to go berry and apple picking, Rose's Berry Farm is a must!

I have been conflicted between a 3 or 4 star and I have decided to give it a 3.5 stars, but will round down to 3 stars just because the wait can be extremely long with inattentive service. My dilemma is that even though I gave this place a 3 star, I would still highly, highly recommend people go to Rose's Berry Farm because you don't just go here for the food, but for the entire experience. Rose's Berry Farm is one of those places where you truly get to appreciate all the little things about life. Although I do understand that the wait can be frustrating, I like to think of it as just a longer time to be spending quality time in nature with your loved ones while appreciating your breath taking surroundings. This past Sunday I had friends from out of state visiting and decided to take them to Rose's. We arrived at around 11 am and waited around an hour to be seated so be prepared to be standing there for a bit. We ordered their Belgian Waffles, French Toast, and Quiche. The waffles and French toast come with Rose's homemade jam and whipped cream, which are AMAZING (I cannot emphasize that enough, you really have to try it). I have tried their Breakfast Burrito in the past and I don't think it is anything special so I do not recommend ordering that. My go to order for Rose's would be the Belgian Waffles with the jams and whipped cream on the side and the quiche. I normally don't enjoy waffles that much, but the waffles I had at Rose's were just so fluffy and when paired with the jam and whipped cream it's just a flavor explosion! Don't let the 3 stars scare you off, definitely give Rose's a try if you're ever around Glastonbury and are looking for something to do on a Sunday morning :)
