Ordered some items for a get together that I was able to pickup. Pulled up, they loaded and I was on my way in less than 10 minutes. Food was awesome and more than expected. Prices were very fair as well. Actually considering ordering some items and freezing them for dinners at home. read more

I recently visited this establishment for a Christmas party and was very impressed. The amount of food they give you was seriously impressive. When everyone was arriving, they had a nice table set up with an array of cheese and crackers. They then started out with serving rolls, salad, and a bowl of pasta with red sauce for the table. Then, for the main course I had a very large prime rib with potatoes and vegetables. The prime rib had a sauce on it, which I'm not sure what it was, but was tasty all the same. Some of the other choices were a chicken dish, a seafood dish, and a vegetarian option. All of the portions were very generous. The dessert was apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. The cash bar had many choices, so that was nice. One downside is that the women's restroom only has two stalls. This was kind of a challenge because there were a large number of people at the event, and there was always a wait for the women's room. I know this is a silly thing to complain about, but I don't love the idea of having an upscale event with a small restroom. Overall, I would definitely consider this venue for future events. read more

My family and I went to Maneeley's for breakfast with Santa. Though our three kids were free, adults were about $13 a head. Buffett style breakfast was included as well as pictures with Santa, balloon animals and face painting. The event was not well planned and quite disappointing. Though we did get there at the later end of breakfast, around 9:30, the lines were crazy and the food was very disappointing. There was no toast or bagel. Just scrambled eggs, bacon and pastries. The eggs were ether way overcooked or were dehydrated. This was just not a well run event. I question having a function here in the future based on this experience. I understand to make this event financially work, you have to keep spending down, but there are better ways of doing it. read more

Maneely's Banquet Hall is an excellent place for a wedding reception. My niece got married by a JP on their outdoor gazebo. The staff of Maneely's took care of everything. The service was great, from their servers walking around with appetizer trays to the meals (and the food was delicious). They had 2 full bars (one inside and one outside). They have large beautiful grounds to accommodate large wedding parties for the picture taking. The staff was professional and polite, quick and accommodating, friendly without being too chatty. I will recommend Maneely's to anyone looking for a place to hold their next big function, (wedding reception, office X-mas party or whatever). read more

To be honest, I had very low expectations going into Maneeley's for a banquet dinner. Usually, these kinds of establishment are not able to accommodate my dietary requirements as someone who has celiac disease. We ordered a gluten free meal in advance and I was so impressed when it came out! I was served a beautiful plate with a chicken breast with a balsamic reduction, roasted potatoes and vegetables, and they even gave me a small plate of gluten free pasta with tomato sauce. All of it had been prepared freshly and was really yummy. They even had a dessert for me, which is unheard of. A delicious slice of gluten free carrot cake. The wait staff were all friendly and on top of everything. The bar tender was incredibly nice- she was awesome. I would highly recommend this establishment for events! read more

We went to Maneeley's on November 3rd for an Evening with Buddy Valastro (the Cake Boss), an event co-sponsored by the 96.5 TIC radio station. It was a benefit for their We Are The Children charity. I had never been to Maneeley's and expected standard banquet hall fare, especially for a charity event. I didn't see much of the grounds, as it was dark when we arrived. I'm not sure if there is more than one function room, but we were in a large room right inside the main entrance of the building you see when you drive into the parking lot. There were staff waiting to check us in and from there it was open seating. They had a cash bar, but also had complimentary wine in the back of the room. The room was nice, but what struck me was the attentiveness of the staff. They were on top of things, and everyone was so kind. I can't imagine this was a big money making event for Maneeley's, I would think more than likely, some or all of their services were donated. So it was nice to see that all of the staff still gave it 100% like they would if you had paid to host an event there. That's professionalism at its finest. The food was surprisingly good! I only add the "surprisingly" part because when I called to book the tickets, they said a "light supper" would be available. I had pictured that to mean appetizers, or salads and a sandwich platter or something similar. We had a full sit down meal, with chicken in a sage cream sauce, stuffed shells, green beans in a light garlic sauce, salad and rolls. It was served family style, but the servers came around during dinner to find out if we wanted seconds of anything. The food was perfectly hot and tasty when it arrived at our table. When dessert was served, it was a bit of a nightmare as everyone raced to try to get a sample of Buddy's cakes and pastries. But that's not Maneeley's fault! I would imagine at a normal event, dessert service is a little more civilized. Overall, it was a really good experience and I'd be happy to have the opportunity to attend another event at Maneeley's in the future! read more

I feel as though words cannot describe how amazing Maneeley's is! We had our wedding in the Lodge on Friday, 10/3/14, and everything leading up to, as well as the day of, went so smoothly and that is all because of the AMAZING staff at Maneeley's. Our guests are still RAVING over how delicious the meals were also, and how beautiful the grounds were. And after a lot of research when we started planning the wedding, we realized Maneeley's was a much more affordable price per head than many other CT venues, and that included open beer & wine bar! She was so competent, so informative, and so helpful and we couldn't have pulled it together without her. A dear friend of mine got married here, and as someone in the bridal party who was pretty close to the action, it went off without a hitch. There are several beautiful spots to take photos, including a lovely bridge, two gazebos, and trees surrounding the grass. The banquet/party room was decorated beautifully. I had to come the day before for the rehearsal, and it was decorated for a prom, and both the prom and the wedding were gorgeous. The loss of a star comes from the wedding coordinator. He didn't really know what he was doing. I would guess that this was the first time he ran a rehearsal. He also had zero idea about any of the religious traditions. He didn't know any basic details about my friend's wedding. I'm not saying he should become an expert, but at least know the very basics! read more

My family and I were guests at a wedding at The Lodge at Maneeley's yesterday. The venue is absolutely gorgeous-smartly rustic. The ceremony was outside-the grounds are beautiful. Paved walkways. High ceilings inside with plenty of space to dance and mingle. The outside porch was a great place to sit and relax. The food was very good. It came out hot and was delicious. The service was acceptable and the bar service was prompt. The only negative are the bathrooms. They are spotless, however, both the men's and ladies' rooms have only 2 stalls each. Other than that, I see no reason why you shouldn't book your event at Maneeley's. read more

I went to a school event at this facility on 4/2/19. I'm a celiac and cannot eat gluten. I spoke with the manager before the event and told her my concerns about cross contamination. She indicated she knew what to do. I was told before the event what I would be served. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was a buffet. While I was served from the kitchen when I indicated I couldn't eat the food I didn't trust them and ate nothing. Do not eat here if you have any allergy issues as they don't understand what to do and are putting your health at risk. read more

So i am leaving now. A breakfast with santa. First off. Pick a seat. Any seat. Ok. Every seat has a coat on it. Why? Because the people are in line for santa or the rides or balloons. Awesome. The choices are great. Kids loved the animals. Ride on moose and tiger. Thats it. So when its time to eat my kids ate on paper plates on the floor. Horrible. They were hungry and no where to sit. Then my oldest son has milk. Says to me dad its gross. I look at it. Its 5 days expired. Normally maybe not a big deal. But you are serving children rotten milk at breakfast with santa. So basically we wanted to cram as many people in to the place. Not enough seats by far. And serve bad food. Awesome experience. I will be sure to never come back. As it happens as well i am a chef and i have low expectations when we do events so i am not disappointed. And usually that works for me. Not this time. Sorry to have to share this with anyone. But its warranted Yes. You did cover your tables with table clothes and pack everyone in for a fundraiser. And yes the people that spoke us that were with us were there had a great time except the same complaints i have. We absolutely loved Maneeley's! We got married on 7/30/2016. Sandy, Bruce and the team were just amazing and made everything so EASY! We planned our wedding in 2 and a half months! They were always available, accommodating, personable and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is seamless and they are thoughtful. The grounds are stunning and you can tell that they take great pride and care of it. The lodge was everything we dreamed of and more. Our wedding had a soft rustic romantic theme and it was perfect. We loved the tea lights and warm ambiance. Everyone raved about the food and we loved how we were able to edit/customize the selections for our family and friends. They even packed us food to go on our wedding night! One of our favorite memories of Maneeley's on our wedding day is catching a glimpse of Bruce cooking steaks on the grill in the back. Although none of our guests saw this, we were blown away. Wow!! We love how passionate and involved he is in his business. We admire that and the steaks were delicious and flavorful. For dinner we did the family style and an open bar. This was the best way to go! One of our guests even mentioned that it was the first wedding that they didn't have to stop at McDonalds on the way home. Plenty of food and a great price. My daughter and I planned a reception for our son (her brother) and new daughter-in-law who got married last month in Utah. We live in VA and our daughter lives in CT. We worked with Sandy to plan for the four hour event today. There were of course alot of questions from both of us, because it was not a traditional wedding/reception event. Sandy was very helpful and the staff today (Doug and Fern) were wonderful. We really had a great time today and the Lodge was beautiful!. Atrocious service, the staff was extremely rude, and unprepared. I did not have utensils and I asked for some, however it took 15 minutes for them to get me a fork and a knife, not to mention they seemed bothered by it. The food was very poor quality, chicken was under cooked and myself as well as several others got sick that night due to the chicken. The salad was browned, and the steak was absolutely awful and stale. I would have rather been served a frozen meal. Overall it was unappetizing and a threat to my health, and the rudeness of the staff made everything much worse. I will not be returning nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. read more

Food, eh, all drinks completely suck it's like they tried to make all the soda and seltzer flat. They served coffee and if you weren't around you were out of luck. The wait staff went out of their way to get any special requests and the food was excellent. Beautiful venue. Felt very very rushed throughout the night. My dinner was taken from me before I was finished as well as numerous glasses which I had put down in the table to dance. I was also disappointed that I couldn't enjoy the chocolate fountain which was set up for approximately 30-45mins. I was also very surprised that a server asked me to move my arm out of the way as she was taking the runner and centerpieces off the tables. Attended a family wedding the atmosphere was great, however, the food left a lot to be desired, it started out with a cold plate, cold food that should have been hot, and the rice was too soggy, overcooked, and cold, and tasteless. Should not have been served. Salmon was over cooked, i heard the beef was good. I was warned by someone else that attened several functions to request that the hot food be served hot not cold and warm. The place is good but the food that's make a function was just not acceptable. The appertizers were good and displayed well. Overall a great evening just the dinner was the biggest letdown. The buffet table was too far away from most people, there should have been two serving two serving buffet tables either end of the room. read more

Maneeley's is wonderful! It's a great experience working with them - - from the time you place the first call to them and speak with Sandy to the end party where the team is awesome! I work for a large Company in CT with approximately 400 people and we have used them for 2 events to date. One was a holiday luncheon and the 2nd was a summer employee picnic. Both affairs were fantastic and the feedback from all the associates was very positive. The food is so fresh and the set up is great. The team on site were so friendly and they work very hard to ensure a positive experience. I would NOT hesitate to recommend Maneeley's to anyone! read more
