And it's especially not great if your pin retrievers are malfunctioning at every turn. And when you ask for a time reset. You are required to speak to a manager or "someone in charge of that," only delaying the game more. Not to mention the computer counted maybe 2 spares that my mom and I got in our 3 games. Personally I have to say I have no clue where the whole 2 million dollar renovation went. Because clearly it did not go to where it mattered. This is the only bowling alley in the area. I have been here several times for kids birthday parties. The bowling alley is old and dingy. Kids love the bowling parties, so that kind of makes up for it. During parties they put up bumpers, so that kids can't get a gutter ball. Come to think of it, I haven't ever been to a modern clean bowling alley. I guess most alleys were built in the 70s and 80s and there isn't much demand for new bowling alleys. read more

If I could give this DIVE zero stars I would!!! Besides being absolutely filthy the entire facility is ripped apart. Bathrooms don't work. Lanes are warped.! About a year ago they decided to renovate. They ripped everything out including the carpet but left the glue on the floor and there is no help for the bowling shoes. It's rumored they overpaid the contractors and now they cannot afford to finish the project. When asked about it they tout a fancy business degree and announce, "they know what they're doing." if there was any other bowling alley in Mandeville this place would close in an instant! If it wasn't for the amazing ladies that I bowl with, I would quit! Severely disappointed that such a venue exists in such a beautiful part of the city! Ok, first off, I call BULLSHIT. Got there with three kids and two adults. Attendant asks how many games we want to bowl. I've been here a number of times before and always was charged by the hour. Still, I ask how much and she proceeds to give me the per game per person price plus shoes. I ask about the hourly rate and she says they don't do that. I said they used to and she says she can't remember them doing that. BULLSHIT. So, I get the price and it comes to right at $37. One game!!!!! I am always disappointed when a local business closes but it would be a pleasure to see this place go bankrupt and shut down. They screw people right to their faces with no problem. I bowl here because it's a 20 or 30 minute drive to bowl anywhere else. Very poorly run. Every time I order something at the snack bar they are out of it. Seriously, they are ALWAYS out of something. AWFUL. If I could post 0 stars I would without hesitation. The "owner's grandson" behind the counter screwed up on charging, tried covering his tracks and charged us EXTRA after the fact, completely rude and acted like we were illiterate, and then after we broke it down to him as elementary as we could he admitted he was wrong and did nothing to reimburse for his mistake. Place is disgusting. Games kept messing up on the lane that had nothing to do with the problem mentioned above. Kitchen took 45 minutes for NACHOS (la caretta makes real nachos under 10 minutes, come on, why does it take 45 minutes for chips and cheese?) I never bash a business but I'm just so shocked at how we were treated whenever it was their mistake. The staff there is very friendly yes the center does need a little bit of update but as far as our experience we were very happy with the staff and they helped with everything and anything they could we had an issue with our lane and the mechanic was born it in less than 5 minutes and had it fixed we really appreciate all that they have done for us to make our experience very joyful thank you to the staff of Tiffany Lanes read more

After two tries with numerous problems with our balls not coming back, and the machinery hanging up, and the lanes which are the same surface as slick formica being an oily mess, we went to Hammond and Tangi lanes. Much better place, and at times they do a flat bowl all you want for $ 14. Two people can easily bowl 3 games each for that price--a big savings. read more

This is the worst place. Went last night with my family. Went to order food was told the fryer was over worked. And waited 20 minutes for a burger. The bathrooms was awful. They looked the same as the last time we went. Even the men's bathroom was still broken from March of last year. I'll never go back. I'll drive a hour to Gulfport. As just a place to bowl, it's okay. And I'm sure noone will really care about this, but I have to vent. I was very disappointed in the party we held today for my five year old. The staff were not helpful at all. 1. I was told when I booked the party a couple of weeks ago that the adults could bowl for $6.50 and not pay the party price, since they didn't need pizza and a balloon. When my husband and our friend went to get their shoes they were told they had to pay the full party price and then the staff treated me like I was crazy and NO ONE would have told me that. 2. No balloons or autographed pin. I didn't say anything at the time because there was no use. 3. Most importantly, the party flyer states that we will be given a few child sized balls. Well they were having little league and the staff would not grab just ONE size 6 ball from the league bowlers. Totally not helpful. 4. They only have Pepsi and no non-carbonated drinks. Lemonade or punch would be great. Our guests drank water. 5. The cash register lady was very snippy when we informed her that some of the games and arcade machines were broken- we were not even asking for a refund. 6. Of course this is the only place to bowling, but its very old and run down. LAnes break all the time. Not the best customer service, and you would think they could afford new bowling shoes. Game room is always packed with local high school kids and it reaks of smoke. The snack bar isnt that great other than the fact they have Slush Puppies. Shaved ice and flavored syrup. We have had a few experiences with Tiffany Lanes, so here is our honest and unbiased review. -very unorganized -usually unpleasant -not very aesthetically pleasing -food is not good at all. Borderline awful. We had a birthday party here for a VERY good price. We had equally bad service and the entire event was poorly organized (no matter how hard you may attempt to make it flow nicely). While no one else at the party noticed except for the few people who were ready to bowl and asked, "what's going on?", it may stress you out while trying to throw a nice party. You are not allowed to bring your own food other than a cake, and the food they offer is pretty bad. I know this is something to be expected when you're not paying very much, but you are still paying for a fun atmosphere. The appearance overall is very dated. This is not a huge deal. One of the things I liked best about the original rock n' bow in mid-city was its originality, so this is not a real problem to me. If you are just looking for something to do on a rainy day, it's somewhere to go to get out the house. Now, on another subject, the arcade is even in poor shape. Today my daughter went to play games in there and a game stole her money. This isn't the first time this has happened, but this time we went to inform management of the faulty game. Their response was "we do not own those games so we can not refund the money." I asked what do you suggest that she just not play the games at all? She responded with yes. In my opinion, it's just bad business. But realistically, there aren't as many options in the Covington area. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I paid $80 for my family to bowl two games. It was not explained to me that a certain number of people had to be on each of the two lanes we had reserved when we first got there. Ok, no problem. But when we went to the counter to ask why our game was cut off in the third frame during the 2nd game, all the girl behind the counter did was argue with us (basically tell us oh well, too bad)instead of explaining how it works on the front end before we began our game. The place was near empty, a place with good customer service would have apologized for the misunderstanding and made it right. They didn't care and were happy to see us leave. All she had to do was explain what happened and reset the game, but she chose to get ugly with our family. She also made a face at one of my family members when she walked away from the counter. I hate that I have to actually select 1 star, I personally do not think this facility warrants that. I visited this location about 6 months ago and was disgusted with the owners/staff. They were very unpleasant, and being a business owner myself, I understand how important customer service is with developing a business and keep customers returning. The staff seemed "bothered" and too busy when my kids asked for help retrieving stuck bowling balls and lane problems. An older lady actually yelled at my kids! Well, just recently we decided to give the location another chance and to my surprise nothing has changed. On our first try we walked in on a Thursday evening and out of 30+lanes only 12 were functioning, and so we were turned away. My kids were very upset especially my 3 year old who I had to watch cry because she couldn't understand why we did not stay to play. About 2 weeks went by and on a Wednesday evening we gave it one last try. We walked in and no surprise, the owner told us the lanes were flooded and only 10 were working. I am very unhappy with this business and would love to see a new bowling alley go up in St. Tammany Parish, I would not recommend this business to ANY body, and I hope a new business comes along and puts Tiffany Lanes out of business PERMANTENTLY! read more

Anybody who gives this place a bad review is crazy. my wife and 2 year old son went tonight and it was nothing but a good experience. the guy at the desk nice as can be and helpful. they turned cartoons on just our tv next to the score card moniter. And its not like this was a slow night it was packed. then my son got fussy and wanted to run in the other peoples lanes. the guy came over and handed my son a balloon and said maybe that would help. It didn't help he just had a balloon when he ran. but A for effort!! Then when the runner decided to take a nap in his stroller he gave us a free game so my wife and i could actually bowl a game. last thing im going to say is go there 10 years ago and go today 100% improvement. we are going back next weekend. Where is the music? Don't they understand that rock and bowl is very popular. They turn on this really neat disco ball and turn off the lights at 9pm and no music. I had to pay one dollar to get one song. These people are missing the boat. Instead of having a fun place I see it dying. Dudes, play some music. I can't rate the alley an absolute ZERO. This is the most awful place I have ever been. The first time I went was fine. Bowled 2 games with my kids, during the day. Ok. The second time.. Went with a group.. Paid for games.. Went to the snack bar. They DENIED us pizza. They had it ... DENIED it for us. The excuse, only had a "few" and had a party.. So we could not order any. Asked if since THEY couldn't offer us what was on THEIR menu, if we could bring in outside pizza. Answer, NO. Wanted to exit and my children CRIED, so we completed our game, and left. NO apology. Talked to manager, everything. NOTHING DONE Third time, CALLED. (make sure we could get pizza, answer was yes). For the life of me, don't know WHY we went back. (kids enjoyed bowling) . We got there at 5PM! Multiple people, paid for SIX games. Ordered food, spent app 130$ PLUS.. there at 10 PM, WITH NO warning, in the MIDDLE of OUR GAME.. Came up to us.. And said, OUR lane was "reserved" at 10.. And we needed to LEAVE NOW. Really??!?! We had just paid for another game a 9:50!!!! I was pissed. Complained. Manager just looked at me, pushed the computer button, and turned the game OFF! What could I DO?? NOTHING. Game over. Wanted my refund. He said, NO. I am SO DISGUSTED with this place! This place is terrible. Rude staff, lanes that repeatedly break, and don't even try to order pizza if you aren't part of a birthday party. They only have enough pizza's for the parties that are scheduled for that day, if you can believe it. And, they won't allow any outside food-so forget delivery pizza as a back-up. Their hours on Facebook said they were open from 12-10 on Monday and then I got my whole family of 10 people in two cars to have a family bowling day. Even with new management place sucks. We were on the 9th frame and the lane turned off. I went to the desk and was told they rung up the bill wrong and would cost 3.81 to finish our game, I paid and went back to my lane, the whole game was restarted. I told him and they said there was nothing they could do. And I had to fight to just get my 3.81 back. Should have have gotten it all back since we didnt get to finish our game and it was there fault. We just moved to the northshore and we have lots of friends who like bowling. Sure it is in the middle of a remodel. I asked why it was taking so long and I was told that the problem was with permitting and St Tammany Parish. The employees are courteous and friendly. We love the black lights and music on Friday and Saturday night. I have bowled there many times and have attended parties there. The kids have a great time and they don't care about the décor. I was told of the plans they have for the place and it will be great when they are allowed to continue. Tiffany Lanes has all the vibe of a bowling alley about to close. The floors are torn up, only one set of rest rooms work, some of the employees are unwilling to help. The bar is a joke, and so is the concession counter. Seldom is anyone actually working the counter. This place is very run down. The guy behind the desk was nice. The experience was no good. It was so quiet in there; you could hear a pin drop. If you want music, you have to pay more money -- one dollar for two songs. There is a leather sofa in front of a lane. If you want that lane, you pay extra and you have to have at least six people. Games are over $4 each and there are no specials, so it's expensive for a family. The owner clearly doesn't care about her customers. She only cares about the leagues and it shows.
