The majority of the public will probably come here to see a USHL hockey game, but the facility also has a wide range of other activities ranging from learn to skate, youth hockey, men's amateur hockey and open skating (some even with DJs). There are food options here, but they are almost all terrible - it's basically what you would find at a high school football or basketball game - it's nachos, re-heated burgers and hot dogs... There is a bar here, and you can drink during the Rough Riders (USHL) games. I don't think the bar is open during other events unless otherwise advertised. The locker rooms and the rest of the facility are relatively clean and in reasonable repair. The seats in the NHL rink are super comfortable if you are a spectator. The Olympic rink only has metal benches, but you can stand in the mezzanine to watch games as well. My favorite part of the rink is that one of the ice surfaces is an Olympic size ice rink, so it's wider than the standard NHL dimensions. It's fun to play on, and not something you see everyday. Overall, it's one of the nicer facilities in Iowa. Unfortunately, that is not a very high bar.

They offer 4 indoor tennis courts, 6 indoor pickleball courts, and 6 outdoor pickleball courts. For each of the indoor courts, they have a live camera to both view from the lobby or to record your matches if you need review or proof of winning a competitive match. Well stocked Pro Shop and Locker Rooms are at the entire which haven't seen either in many other competing centers around town! What makes Smithfield PTC special is their membership offerings for both lessons and clinics. They have a Standard membership if you are a social player or a Premium membership to allow you 6+ Reservations each month. The value of what is included in membership dues compared to what you pay is very affordable. If I were to live in Cedar Rapids full-time, I would be at Smithfield daily for their Pickleball drop-ins and recreation play. All the members I met during my stay were both friendly and inviting on and off the court. Looking forward to coming back to Cedar Rapids to visit Smithfield PTC in the near future!

It's free to get in and the kids are able to run around and climb on stuff to make sleep come a little easier that evening! The other available activities include swimming, a track, ball courts and plenty of other rec center type stuff. We'll be frequenting anytime where in the area and need to run off a little energy.

There is a diverse selection of weights and machines to choose from, as well as a well-kept track on the second level. I also really appreciate the placement of a number of mats throughout the space to allow for stretching and ground workouts. There are a few cubbies and coat racks available as you enter the second floor, which work perfectly for me to leave a few items. Locker rooms are also available on the first floor with locks for rent form the front desk (or just bring your own). The two gymnasiums are also clean and in good shape. Open gym times are posted at the front desk and online each week. You can also reserve the space rather simply. I've participated in Flag Football practice in the gym the past few weeks, and it was easy to navigate where to go.

My main interaction with the park is from many walks around the trail or biking through as it connects to the larger bike trail system, and it's ideal for both! My kiddos have done Tiny Tot soccer here multiple seasons-- in the spring, summer and fall. I love that the complex is easy to navigate, I adore that there are indoor bathrooms and that the parking is plentiful! There are nine well maintained youth soccer fields (which I think turns into three full-size soccer fields?) It also can host flag football. I've peeped the ball fields, there are five. Batting cages live here! The pavilion is nice, with shade. It appears to connect to some trails in the neighborhood? There are couple shelters, too. Coralville Youth Sports Park checks all the boxes. While it isn't SUPER convenient for us Iowa City residents to drive to, it is a perfect location for anyone in Coralville/North Liberty! What a great addition that was much needed.

There's a plethora of parking. 4. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly. With a good mix of seasoned coaches and younger athlete coaches. 5. Safety first! Since a lot of kiddos that take classes there are not able to be vaccinated-- they require masks, regardless of vaccination status, for all folks inside over 3 years old. Honestly, this is the most efficiently run kid's activity I have ever witnessed. There are like a dozen groups going at any given time and your child is ALWAYS active.
