We played Tiger Point on a Tuesday when they had a Great Senior rate and we were so impressed from making a tee time (I left a message and a friendly man in the pro shop called back!), the bar staff, the kitchen (what a club sandwich!), the condition of the course, friendly Marshall, adorable tiki girls, and a neighbor on 13 that handed our group Payday candy bars!! Course was in good shape. Beautiful and challenging. Pace of play was worst ever. Took 1hour 14 minutes to play 4 holes. Played through 4 groups that seemed to want to stop at the tiki bars for food and drink more than play. Couple of really cool holes. Personally think it should be a $75-85 weekend round (with a bucket of balls)...which is the only lacking part (the range). I will definitely play here again! Only 3 of 5 due to pace. The course is very nice. The clubhouse is above most other clubhouses as is the food. There is no beverage service person that rides around the course but there is a TiKi Shack between the 7/8 holes which is nice. The carts have GPS; I disliked it since I play golf to get away from technology. There was a starter which is always a good idea and they were very helpful. The only negative would be the expense. One round (morning time) plus cart and one small bucket of practice balls: $101. This is higher than most in this area. read more

When we travel we always like to check out the local golf courses. This one was 15 minutes away from our beach house rental. This place is tucked away in a huge housing community but the houses are not on top of you. The layout is somewhat unique since you don't come back to the clubhouse at the turn, you go out 9 holes and come back towards the clubhouse but there is a Tiki Bar after Hole 7 and Hole 14 which provides drinks and food. It has a good balance of sand and water hazards. I enjoyed playing it very much. My only issue were the greens were not in good shape. Some had alot of bare spots. Not a huge issue for me but green fees should be a little discounted when green conditions are poor. I plan on playing this course again in the fall so hopefully the greens are in better shape. If you don't like nice fairways, smooth, fast greens and a challenging track 10 minutes from the beach for around fifty bucks, you won't like Tiger Point. The folks of Troon Management have done a good job of revitalizing this gem. Yes, it is a fun and challenging course to play. Tiger Point is back and you're missing out on a great bargain if you don't play it. It is a municipal owned by the City of Gulf Breeze but they are now operating and maintaining it as they would a club. If the wind is up, as it usually is, the course is hard. Pensacola Sound is in view for a handful of holes but doesn't come into play. The staff is courteous and eager to please. If you haven't played it in a while because it was neglected, try it again . . . or not; leaves room for me to squeeze in a three hour round. read more

The course is fairly wide open yet retains challenge just at the correct locations. Greens rolled true, though watch out for the occasional misread due to a sneaky design of optical illusion! Played the course on 11/9/2019. (Blue Tees 6600 yards) The course was fairly long but not gimmicky, the holes were right in front of you so you did not have to worry about any blind shots or hidden traps. Loved the island green even though I did not play the hole very well. The course was nice, we played in the fall so I am sure the fairways would have been more lush in the summer months but I had no complaints. I am from the Midwest so I was not used to the Bermuda grass (more my problem then the course). The greens were large but they were the same speed and rolled nice. The new owners have done a good job with this course, if I ever get back to Pensacola area I would definitely play this course again. We had one player rent clubs, left handed even, and had no problem course was not over priced as well. read more

Course is in very rough shape. Many of the greens (most?) are horrible condition with a lot of bare, uneven spots. Tee boxes are better but still not great. Perhaps the Tiki bar in the middle of the course is meant to get the players to forget about the course condition. I understand this course was brutalized by a hurricane and that is why it's in the shape it is. But it shouldn't take this long to get the greens back to putting shape. The cost was about $74 and that included a cart and a small bucket of range balls. Too high for the condition of the course. The layout was nice. A good number of bunkers (gateway and green side) and water hazards. Wind is a big factor on the course making a few holes play very long. Doubt I'll ever play it again, at least not without first finding out if the greens have been repaired read more

I played it 2 years ago for $20. Now it's under new ownership and I paid $64 for about the same conditions. They seem to be more concerned with the club house renovation and tiki bar than making sure the greens are in good shape. Most greens are patchy and an absolute mess with dirt and sand. Tough to make birdie puts when the ball is bouncing everywhere. They also let a fivesome out which held everything up and no Marshalls to be found to keep things moving. I think this place has a lot of potential, but they've got a long way to go. Definitely disappointed. read more

Typicall Florida golf course... Pro's: I rented clubs here and actually got a very nice set of Callaways. Course was clean, carts were nice, atmosphere was good. Con's: Maybe I should of brought a cooler with me, because there was no water to be had on the course. I thought I would dehydrate right there. Played both the 18 hole East course as well as the 9 hole West course. The west course is not worth your time or money. It is mostly the wrong kind of grass for a course and the greens may or may not be that grass or mostly weeds. This course could double as a moderately well manicured goat field. The East course was better though. The fairways and greens could have been in better shape for early June, but all in all not bad. If we hadn't have come back to play the 9 hole course the rating would have been either a 3 or 4. Also, make sure you fill up your water bottles soon after the turn, you won't come across a water jug for the last 8 holes. read more

This is a pretty good course. Taken pretty good care of and the employees are very nice and friendly. It's pretty difficult especially with all the water around! I lost quite a few golf balls! The pro shop has a lot of new golf clubs available for demo, which is pretty nice. The restaurant looks good, but I never took the time to try it. The pace of play was kind of slow, but the workers tried spreading everything out. If you are debating on whether to come there or not, you should come give it a try. read more

Made a tee time a month ago for a guys trip. Called to make sure they have rental clubs since we were coming in from different parts of the country and we assured they did and would take care of us. The day of our reservation we call to make sure things were set and had to adjust our time, glad we did since they had no clubs and we had to make alternate arrangements last minute. We weren't told until we were checking in 30 min prior to our tee time that two holes (9 & 10) were closed for irrigation upgrade. This was ongoing work that was scheduled well in advance, not some emergency repair that just came up. This is just bait & switch. It should be clearly posted on the web site that you only get 16 holes of golf so customers know that they are not getting a full 18 holes before they arrive and hand over their credit card. So, they gave us the bait and switch today, but it is the last time they will have the opportunity to treat us badly because there are too many good golf courses in the Pensacola area for us to ever return to Tiger Point and let them cheat us again. For a course that used to host a PGA tour event it has really gone down. I came to Tiger Point the first time in 1989 I believe to follow Fred Couples. So I was hopeful the course would be decent, but I was disappointed. Several tee boxes were completely dead and the greens were painfully slow. The fairways were very inconsistent. One would be halfway decent and the next one would be nothing but weeds and the next one might be completely dead. If I had paid more than $25 for the twilight rate I would have been very upset. I have played many courses and this one easily sets on the BOTTOM of the list. The course was in horrible condition. Hole 3 had a tractor parked in the fairway with broken ground around it. One hole had a little girl playing in the sand bunker by a green and wouldn't move to take a shot. Another hole had 3 guys fishing on the edge of a water hazard and I literally had to hit the ball around them. The greens had dirt spots and you could clearly see all the different hole locations. Overall course was not very well up kept. I almost asked for a refund.... Lol but seriously the worst course I've ever played. I never thought I would leave a place 1 star but this did good to earn even that. read more

Having golfed at Tiger Point over the last year and a half, it is great to see the improvements over the past few months. I think the course was always the best in the Pensacola/Pensacola Beach/Navarre/Gulf Breeze area, but now it really is! Greens and fairways are in great condition. The new menu is fantastic, the staff is friendly. It is a great course with amazing scenery throughout. Fantastic improvements. If in the area, I highly recommend playing a round. read more

Played June 19. The course was nice. They had worked on the greens recently so they were a little sandy but easily playable. Best value for the money is to use an online booking service and get a discounted rate because I would not play full price for the course. Biggest complaint I have is they treat online bookings second class. My group could not tee off 8 minutes early because online bookers must tee off at their time, even if no one is on the course. My suggestion to the course is "If you don't like the online service, then don't use it, otherwise, treat the players the same". read more

My husband and I played Perdido Bay the day before Tiger Point and had a great experience, so it's impossible to not compare the two. Perdido Bay was a much better experience in just about every way, and the price of Perdido was only nominally more than Tiger Point. 1. The employee who checked us in had a disinterested attitude. Everyone at Perdido was friendly and helpful. 2. The bar wasn't open late morning on a Saturday and upon asking the disinterested guy, were informed that the only place to get beverages was from the beverage cart. Perdido staff went out of their way to be helpful. 3. The beverage cart was slow, although the two girls were friendly and accommodating. They first came around on the 3rd hole. They didn't have what I wanted (wine) but very kindly offered to go back to the clubhouse. Unfortunately, it took so long that we were almost finished with the first 9 before they came back. Same experience on the second 9. 4. The course wasn't well maintained and didn't have any interesting scenery. I'm a new golfer, but I frequently ride along with my husband when he plays and this was by far the least attractive. On the plus side, there were several easy holes for beginner practice. I really wish we'd just gone back to Perdido Bay. I wouldn't go to Tiger Point again. Two stars only because the cart girls were friendly. read more
