Delicious strawberry mochi milk tea! Not too sugar, and has a refreshing strawberry flavor! Staff was prompt and no lines today. This shop has limited seating and a kiosk that allows you to avoid direct interaction which is nice, but this time around I asked staff what he recommends. Easy, clean, cute small shop for a quick boba tea dessert.

Been here a few times since my last review. Had a couple of duds and will never order them again. I can't remember the one from last time but they asked me if I wanted soy powder. So sure what the heck. It was very gritty. Like a barely mixed protein shake. I suppose that's what it became lol. This time my son ordered the #6 the brown sugar mochi boba milk with cream. Soooo the cream... it's a weird texture. Like you kind of have to chew it. I think they over whipped it and it started to become butter. It's like a very soft whipped butter. And it didn't dissolve at all in the drink. Being Asian I like all those different textures but my son and his gag reflex was in full alert. So we ended up trading. The lines are always super long in here and there's always only 1 or 2 workers. Also when you leave a cash tip they don't acknowledge you. This is still good for a once in a while treat. $7.41 for a large.

Tiger Sugar blows the other boba tea shops out of the water! The taro pudding and fresh chunks of taro in the taro drink with crème is incredible with all the sensational textures and flavors. I have to have it whenever I'm on Thayer Street! Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of the ingredients, especially compared with the other boba tea bars. This is the only boba tea shop I will go to in Rhode Island!

The newest addition to the Thayer St/PVD boba scene, Tiger Sugar is most famous for their brown sugar boba and coffee-based boba drinks. While they hands down have the best "bubbles" in the area (with an iconic "QQ"/chewy mouth feel), it's frustrating that the levels of ice and sugar can't be adjusted -- and the drinks are quite sweet. Nevertheless, I'm a fan of their #4 when I'm open to a sugar rush! Service and staff are very friendly and fast. Also applaud them for opting for paper straws, which are quite sturdy and do not dissolve at all.

Absolutely so excited to finally have a Tiger Sugar in Providence! The location is perfect. I love that there is room inside to stand. The menu is big and they have the new matcha drink! I ordered the Mango Sago and signature drink. The Mango Sago is so refreshing with mango juice and fresh mango. It's great for a hot day. The signature drink is perfectly sweet and great for a treat. Overall, I can't wait to visit more!

We found this place as we were exploring Providence. It's still pretty new, but we were excited to find a cool boba place! My husband and I both ordered the black sugar boba. It did take a little while for our drinks to come out, but the workers were very friendly. The shop is very small and there aren't many places to sit. Overall, we enjoyed our drinks here and think it's worth checking out if you're in the area!

I've been to both Tiger Sugar locations in Boston, but this one is bigger than both of them combined. I've tried the classic #1 brown sugar milk tea, brown sugar pudding, and the limited edition strawberry mochi. The boba generally comes with both small and regular-sized tapioca pearls which may be confusing if you are not a regular boba consumer. There are no options to change sugar or ice levels which is disappointing. However, having those options changes the flavor itself. I think the staff and service were friendly and fast, considering how busy boba shops can get at any hour of the day. This is definitely just a grab-and-go type of shop but it's well worth the stop if you are in the area.

We were walking by and noticed this new place on Thayer Street so we went in to check it out. I'm not an expert on bubble tea but do enjoy them so we ordered their signature drink, a black sugar boba with pearl milk, and a mango sago. Our first visit was over their grand opening weekend so the staff was being trained, learning their workflow, and how to use the different machines so it took a little bit longer than expected for our drinks to be ready. The wait was totally worth it and we have been back a few more times to try additional drinks and they have all been good so far. The story of how the drinks get their name is a reference to the way the syrups are layered into the cup, mimicking tiger stripes. We're looking forward to our next visit.

One of my new favorite boba spots in Providence! Came here for the grand opening weekend, and it was super busy. However, service was so fast! I got the #1, classic milk tea with brown sugar boba and it was delicious!

Got the signature Tiger Black Sugar boba. They couldn't adjust the sugar level so it was a bit sweet for me. The boba was a mixture of regular sized and mini boba. Overall the flavors were great and definitely resembled the boba popsicle flavors. Boba was perfectly chewy

Driven by heavy social media presence on Instagram, this shop proved to be a classic example of a cute concept that fails on execution. The shop features a modern, clean aesthetic but suffers from highly inefficient operations. The layout makes it unclear where the ordering line actually begins, and the printed menus do not match the menus displayed on the wall. This forced a rushed ordering process, leading me to order a standard Strawberry Matcha. While the drink's presentation was pretty, the flavor was only average and did not justify the steep, overpriced cost--especially for an establishment located in a prominent college area. Color was on point but flavor was very milky and slightly tart. I don't say this often, but it needed sugar. Service was interesting. Drinks are served filled to the brim without lids. You retrieve the lids yourself in a separate counter area. This design flaw was highlighted when a nearby couple spilled their entire order onto the floor simply while walking over to get a cap. Rather than stepping in immediately to help clean up the mess and offer new drinks, the staff stood and stared at this couple for longer than they should have before offering assistance. Also, I would've liked a teddy bear too but didn't see it on the menu so I didn't order it. Between the high prices, lackluster service, and operational confusion, the overall experience does not warrant a return visit. Go get a sugarcane drink around the corner instead!

I went in with a craving for something sweet, creamy, and cold, but ended up going for something light and fruity: the peach Yakuit slush. It was only $0.80 more to go from a medium to a large so I went for it and also added aloe for $1. The total was around $7-$8. I did use one of the two kiosks they have since it was my first time there and I wanted to take my time exploring the menu. It was super easy to use, only accepts card payments, and will send you a text when the order was placed and when it's ready. While I waited, I took in the details of the place, including the soft pastel colors and also the theme of squirrels which are one of my favorite animals. I liked the art on the walls, and they've used the space well with some tables along the window looking out to Thayer street, while others hugging the entrance ramp. I did not interact with the staff but they looked like they were killing it behind the counter to push out orders in a timely manner. When I did get my order, I thought it was pretty with a rose pink slush, bright pieces of peaches, and bottom layer of white aloe. I tried shaking it a bit to try to mix it up but it didn't work too well. They have straws with a thick opening to get the chunks through. The slush was very flavorful and a good consistency.

Coming from the Bay Area in California, I have had so many boba spots and this one ranks so high and has become one of my favorites!! I absolutely love their black milk tea, but my partner loves their jasmine milk tea. You really can't go wrong with either. The store is also super cute and cozy, and it has a good amount of seating which makes it perfect for hanging out or studying! I also always get the combo with their fries or chicken, and after trying all of the flavors, I can confirm that they're all super delicious. My personal favorite is the regular salt and pepper one, but my sister loves the seaweed flavor. The chicken is also super crispy and juicy!! As for service, I've always had super positive interactions and they get your boba out to you super fast. It's a small tea shop in providence that offer toppings such as boba and sides like taiwanese chicken. They offer different tea toppings like boba, crystal, jelly, ..etc and also sweetness, milk substitute and ice options. Parking is street parking only and can be difficult to find during busy time. Inside is nicely decorated and has good aesthetic. Seatings are limited so I would not expect to find one unless you are lucky. I guess the name of the place is derived from cha which means tea in Chinese and Daruma who is a founder of zen Buddhism. They have a mascot who looks like Buddha holding a bubble tea. I ended up ordering black milk tea with boba and taiwanese popcorn chicken with seaweed and salt/pepper. Tea came out right away and was pretty good. Good tea flavor but maybe a bit too sweet. Boba is home made and its nice and chewy and no inconsistency. I would do 75% sugar and less ice next time for my liking. Taiwanese popcorn chicken was juicy and flavorful. We also got lucky with seating so we sat down to enjoy their food and drink. Service was good and no issues. Overall the place is pretty good. I think everything was good quality and definitely one of the better tea/fried chicken place around RI. If it was in more convenient location I would definitely come back often but I would likely only stop by if I'm already around the area. I did like the place.
