She was very excited to do "hi ya do", and had a tantrum because she wanted to go and "play" while we waited for the prior class was finishing up. I took her outside to try to calm her down, and Master Bang came over to us, calmed my daughter down, took her hand and walked my very clingy baby to the floor. No hesitation in her one bit, and she is not one to trust any stranger. I was very impressed with how excited and yet controlled these very little kids were. I only saw excitement and dedication in every child's face. My daughter was the youngest one of that class, this was her first experience in a large group, with rules and routines, she did better than I expected, but had about 3 tantrums in the 30 minute class. And each time, Master Bang,and the rest of the staff, calmed her down and had so much patience and kindness with her. I really felt that they care about their students. I can't say enough good things. On top of that, the area was so clean and well taken care of. I was so impressed!!

I am a 3rd degree Taekwondo black belt under Grandmaster Im, I also hold a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I hold a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and I am also a Police Officer in Southern California. My parents enrolled me at USA Taekwondo Center in Fullerton to train with Grandmaster Im in 2002. My parents goal was to help me with self confidence and inner strength. Throughout my training, Grandmaster Im showed great patience with me throughout my childhood and teen years. Grandmaster Im believed in me and pushed me to be a fierce competitor, a referee and later entrusted me to be his assistant instructor at his dojang to help with my growth. With Grandmaster Im's training I not only learned how to defend myself but I also learned discipline, respect, integrity and perseverance. These lessons I took with me throughout my life and applied them as I continued my journey. Grandmaster Im also did a great job in creating a professional environment at his dojang. While I trained at his dojang I met a police officer who also trained Taekwondo. This police officer became my mentor and inspired me to purse a career in law enforcement years later. Like a true domino effect, I eventually was inspired to go to college and earned a Masters Degree through my pursuit of law enforcement. Today at 35 years old , I still use the many lessons I learned from Grand Master Im, especially when I am training or teaching martial arts to others. I consider my Taekwondo training to be the backbone to all my success in life, as I would not have pursued my career or my education if my parents had not enrolled me to train under Grandmaster Im. The academy is run by the Hong Family. They are amazing. Master Dana, Master Steve and Master Hong are extremely patient and experienced. My children always look forward to attending class. You are made to feel as part of a large family, not just as a student that just comes to class. The children are recogonized for school academics and for achievements at home as well. Listening to their parents and chores earns honor as well. This is a wonderful school that teaches the children more then just self-defense. Their pricing is reasonable as well. They always have specials so you may try out the Academy to see if your child will like it. This is a very good school. Easy drop off and pick up as well.
