This location is the worst. I am not sure if all Tijuanas are like the one but ‍. No matter what time you place your order, you're going to be waiting for it even if you get there way past the time they told you it would be ready. Then, I can guarantee you that it's been waiting for someone to bring it out from the kitchen and will be cold by the time you get it. The general manager reached out to me after hearing about my terrible experience the last time I was there. He offered to give me a free meal but I had to go and pick it up, that was not typical to get cold food from his location. Every single time I have ever placed an order, going to pick it up myself, or placed an order for delivery and doordash delivered it, this is the average experience there. The dining area doesn't look appetizing to eat in due to the noise level at this location so I always get it to go. There have been a few times where I actually have gotten food from there and the lettuce looked like it should have been thrown away days ago. So, to sum it up, I would stay away from here if I were you and get your food elsewhere. read more

The staff here was amazing! Arissa, Ben, Janelly and Genesis were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. However, I've been coming to Tijuana Flats since I was an UCF student. I'm very disappointed by all the changes. I've been recommending everyone to dine at this spot for years!!! My friends and relatives have not been pleased recently with this suggestion. Why all the changes? The menu is completely different and very sub par to the original experience. Go back to your origins or expect a heavy decline in patronage. If it ain't broke, don't break it. Service quality needs serious work. We called at 8:30 for a pick up order (30 minutes before close) and were immediately met with passive aggressive responses over the phone. When we went in at 8:45 to pick up the order, the few staff that were working left out a taco shell for one of the salads and when we asked if they could finish the order, they said, "we ran out." Which was followed with, "I'll see if she can make some." Which we thought was ridiculous because the establishment was still open AND it was an item a part of our order. Very unlikely to return purely due to rude and disrespectful behaviors and attitudes just because we wanted to place an order within the hour they were closing. Outrageous. read more

Smells like a nail salon inside - horrible. And the food came out without any toppings (tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeños, etc). Flautas were so greasy and dripping all over. The cheese dip was watery. This particular Tijuana Flats is basically a decent enough location if you are a fan of Tijuana Flats. Tijuana Flats is basically a chain restaurant that offers a very Americanized version of Mexican food in a quick serve type restaurant model. The food, while nothing authentic, is pretty good, especially when you take into consideration that it is a quick serve type restaurant (basically, a new term for fast food). I also like their hot sauce selection. I am a huge fan of hot and spicy food and am a firm believer that any food is better with a little (or a lot) of spice to it. The general ambiance here is pretty good. It is definitely a relaxed environment and a good place to enjoy your meal. I went with a burrito and overall, I would definitely recommend their burrito. Tijuana Flats is nothing close to authentic Mexican food, but for what it is, a quick serve type restaurant with a menu of very Americanized Mexican food, it is a good choice for a quick meal. read more

Okay this is just ridiculous! Last time, I got a steak burrito to-go that was so big that I had lunch the next day. Tonight I get the same to-go burrito but look at it! No one would want to eat this! It's tiny! Where's the filling? I even had to add my own filling from home to make it worth while! I am so sad. Had to write an updated review. We have now been back to Tijuana Flats about five times. This is our favorite restaurant in Port Charlotte. All the other restaurants should go on a training assignment to this restaurant to learn how to do customer service, food prep and management. It's always a pleasure to see Eric (manager) when we go because it's like talking to a friend or family member. Have gone to this place 4 times since relocating to PC. My first visit was not bad. I had two soft tacos which I felt were pretty full with meat and toppings. The last three visits were the opposites. My tacos hardly had anything in them. I thought the second visit was a fluke, so I gave it two more tries ( last week, my latest). All the same. I had mostly tortilla and hard shell and very little meat and toppings. I think they need to do something with their shredded chicken. It's not good and has no flavor. I really wanted to love this place and I'm not sure, if I'll go back. I have been bouncing between this place and chipotle. I will say the inside is very comfortable. I love the chips and cheeses. The workers are young, but I found them friendly. On one occasion there was one worker who was away from the register, that made me feel like I was interrupting her day, when I went to give my order. That was a very uncomfortable feeling. Hopefully if I try it again in the future, I will have a better experience. read more

Ordered two orders of chicken flautas both were completely undercooked there's no way they left them in the fryer for the entire time. 4 of the 6 pieces had zero chicken or cheese. The other 2 were soaked and soggy from the pico juice sitting all over them. Sucks. read more

Something about this place always disappoints me. The chicken taste like canned chicken.. maybe soaked in seasoning water. Like maybe boiled chicken and then shredded. Everything is way too loaded down with black beans and sour cream to taste good. read more

Had one steak and one chicken burrito for lunch with the wife. Steak burrito had very little meat on it it. Did have plenty of rice and beans in it . The chicken burrito had more meat but still not much. Neither were very flavorful in our opinions. Price were fairly high for burritos. Staff was friendly and fast. I went into this establishment while on vacation a few days ago and was surprised none of the staff was wearing face masks! I could not imagine eating prepared food made by people who are not providing public health safety by wearing masks in a time when the Covid-19 virus is continuing to rise and spread. Please bring one of these up north, preferably anywhere in New Jersey.. Cram a flauta in your mouth and sing the Mexican national Anthem... "Mehhihhanos, al hhrihho he hhuefffffrra!!!" But put it all together. One of my kids favorite places to go for a taco fix. It can get busy on the weekends around lunch time so if you go with a big group you may have a hard time finding a table. But the food is worth the wait. I never had a problem and definitely will be back for more. read more

Note: this is a Tex-Mex restaurant!!! Not authentic Mexican. Go in with that in mind and you will have a great time. Food is good, we went twice during our stay down here and have enjoyed it both times. The second time we walked out without getting our cookie dough dessert. Our fault we had said we'd let them know when we were ready. Got to the stop Leigh and remembered so we turned around and came back and the gentleman was very friendly and got us our dessert in a few minutes time.
