If I could give 0 stars I would... We've been regulars at The Tiki for many years, but this year has been really disappointing. I was treated poorly during my recent visit. I get that it was their first weekend open and the beach was packed, so I didn't mind waiting at the bar for a drink. But what bothered me was that despite waving to get the bartenders' attention while I was standing right there, I was ignored for 45 minutes and passed over five times while others next to me got served. I was the only one at the bar who didn't get helped. We even paid extra for sauces with our food, but none of them were delivered, so I had to wait at the bar for another hour just to get someone's attention. The bartenders were nice, but they clearly needed more help. Two of them just wasn't enough, especially considering how busy the place gets. "someone" supposedly put a lot of money into this place, but it hasn't changed much in five years & it's still TRASH!!! read more

3 visits, all were not good. The first visit was in the warmer weather when the new owners were newly opened and we sat at the bar on the beach. The beach atmosphere is really nice but the bar is very understaffed. I was only able to get 2 drinks due to the long wait. I ordered a burger which took over an hour and was cooked wrong and had the wrong toppings. The 2nd trip, since it was winter was inside this time, food was subpar, very overcooked and barely edible. Their liquor is limited as they don't have a lot of basic liquors. The large room of the bar was very cold, too cold to drink. The bathroom was shockingly cold with frost on the toilet bowl. The 3rd trip tonight, no food was ordered but everyone that had food around us was complaining it was overcooked and tasted bad. Again, almost everyone sat in the large bar room with coats on because it was so cold. When one of the owners was asked to turn up the heat, she immediately snapped and sternly said "it's on 65". 65 We had a group and only 3 people had 1 drink because it was so cold in the room to drink. If the owner doesn't want to turn up the heat to make their customers comfortable then they shouldn't expect a lot of business. If people are uncomfortable and cold, they won't be staying long or drinking cold drinks. If you have a warm bar in the winter, people will be comfortable and will stay to drink more and they will make more money to cover the heating bill. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! OWNER KAYLA IS HORRIBLE, MEAN STAFF, DIRTY and DANGEROUS BEACH! Avoid this place at any cost. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. The Owner is a bully, the staff is rude. The food is not good, drinks are overpriced and watered down. Kayaks are full of dirt and bugs, beach chairs are dirty and broken. My young daughters even found a pin, a needle and a screw in the sand!!! The staff, particularly the owner KAYLA is very aggressive and a bully. We were told no carry ins by a child who works for her - I'm guessing he is 9 or 10 - and then again by KAYLA the Owner roughly 1 minute later - at this point we immediately abided by throwing away our items in their trash receptacle - of which they then told us we couldn't do or that our kids threw away an empty bottle (we couldn't win with these people). (We also brought bottled soda in to have with a meal we BOUGHT FROM THEM, because my friend's child has severe allergies, and is overly cautious.) But this was not good enough for them, and the Owner KAYLA - proceeded to tell us she hates liars and all we do is lie (I have never even talked to this horrible person in my life other than apologizing for bringing the carry ins). She further claimed she had video of us (of which we were not aware of being filmed) yelling and making customers feel uncomfortable. I also assure you, the only one yelling was her, and what we can only guess is her boyfriend or husband backing her up asking 'do you need help babe' - they acted like this in front my children who cried while I stood next to them!!!!! Upon calling 'Kayla the Owner' the next morning as a courtesy to be sure everything was ok, to smooth over the event and to point out that we felt very uncomfortable with the situation, she refused to speak with any sort of regard for another human. She spoke over me, screamed at me to the point I had to hand the phone over to my friend because I was crying and upset. It was at this point that KAYLA decided to personally attack my friend about her physical disabilities, health issues and weight - in front of our children. It was just so disappointing and sad to hear someone personally attack someone else because she didn't like their outward appearance and disability. The sad reality of the situation is that a simple day at a beach with kids and friends turned into something I've never experienced and don't want anyone else to. This horrible person - KAYLA discriminated against us, belittled and personally attacked us, and harassed our children to a point where we will be taking legal action for damages. There are so many beautiful beaches that are peaceful in the area. Do not give this VILE, terrible, business owner ANY of your hard earned money or time!!!!! read more

This ended up being such a bad experience, we were there for my sons birthday, with family from out of town. We arrived and the cabana was dirty, we were told no carry ins, which I understand completely, but then My son went up to order and was told there was no cook, so no food available for the day. What's the point of paying for a cabana ($180) for the day to chill all day if we have to leave to go get lunch? We also rented a pontoon ($300) We got on the boat and it was filthy, we had to pick up cups and wipe the seats before we could sit down. Then it wouldn't start. We had to go all the way up to the front to find help. The seats were ripped up, We had to use tape on the safety switch, the tape kept coming off, so the boat cut off several times. We were really disappointed with the whole experience. We did reach out to management and have yet to hear back. read more

Horrible Family experience. Then try and talk to management about it and they get all nasty with you. All the negative reviews are certainly true about this place. The restaurant/bar says it closes at sunset, which was 750 PM we came in at 6 and the staff told us they were closing and wouldn't serve us. There response was there is no one here so we are closing. Um hello?! we have 6 people trying to order?! The beach had nothing as stated on the website, campsite was literally in a parking lot, then when we came back the next day someone was in the site we payed for for the weekend! Tried to nicely ask for a refund and discuss or dissatisfaction with the business and there response is your threatening our business by leaving a bar review. We had a terrible experience with a pontoon rental this past August. The pontoon we were told we were renting when the reservation was made wasnt at all the pontoon we ended up with. We were given a crappy, dirty pontoon that was barely operable. It had plastic chairs for seating and a broken canopy. I've been trying to work with management for months now to get a refund for our terrible experience and she still hasn't made things right. The management of this business is horrendous. Whatever you do, do not rent one of their pontoons! The pontoon they advertise will not be the pontoon you end up with and you will be as disappointed as our whole family was. Word of mouth is powerful and it's a shame management doesn't understand how customer service works. read more

we love coming to the Tiki Bar. we make a day out of it once or twice a year. always a good time. drinks prices are resonable and always lots to do. Staff is frequently But over the last 6 years I have seen this place go down hill. not sure of why. Not as clean as it has been. But my real issue is I get no carry ins allowed in you make your money on drinks and food. But if aren't going to allow carry ins you need better food at the snack bar. Not many adults like Chicken tenders and Mini corn dogs. You need offer brats (which is on menu) but didn't have today. Chips, nachos, French fries. Finger foods. Very disappointed when i visited today. I heard lots of great things so I thought I'd take my sister there who came in from out of town. When we arrived, I was under the assumption they had food, so we went into their restaurant area, which seemed pretty vacant to order only a few things that were off the menu because the two items that we wanted they didn't even have available. I don't understand why they don't let you bring in food if they only make, like five things for you to eat. If you're not gonna offer many food items, you should let people bring in food and maybe more people would visit your establishment. I will not be going there again! read more

I am not one to leave reviews on anything, but we were HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and unsatisfied with this business. We booked months ago and we're excited to stay, but upon arrival the pictures and description Is not anything like it is portrayed to be. We reserved a campsite which is listed as in a grassy and open area. One site is literally right next to the parking lot and backs up right to the back of the cabins and the other campsite is right next to that which is right next to the road. The campsite we had reserved had about 5 cars parked in it from the cabins. We checked in & the bartender couldn't answer any of our questions and closed the tiki bar right after we arrived. The bar/restaurant was not open either and apparently under construction, that would have been nice to know ahead of time as they weren't serving any food and you cannot bring your own food down to the beach areas. The website lists inflatables, there was none. We tried contacting the manager Multiple times with no response. We ended up looking elsewhere last minute for a campground due to all of the above and the tiki beach resort would not work with us at all on a refund even though our site was already in use by other people. 0/10 would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Check in staff is very rude. I asked if they've had a lot of complaints lately and she responded, "Yes. And I DON'T want to hear it." I smiled and nicely told her to just relay that we've been coming here for years and are now looking for a nee place. She relied "I don't care and don't need to hear it." Costs $6.00 to get in and you can't even bring in a water. The search practices are invasive. The food and drink prices are unreasonable. Not family friendly. We arrived with our 4 year old twins. We were told that our bags and wagon needed to be searched upon entry. We had water cups for the kids and some snacks and we were told we could not bring these things in. What kind of place prohibits a parent from bringing water for their child? I don't see myself coming back. The idea is pretty cool until you make contact with the staff. I got myself setup on the beach and made my way to the bar for a drink. I asked for two margarita's on the rocks. Bartender used rail tequila, bar syrup, and the cheapest lime juice you can buy. She put them in their smallest glass available and charged me $7 each. Are you kidding me? Instant buzz kill for me. There are many things I'd do before I came back to get ripped off for shitty drinks. Wouldn't spend another penny here for the poor quality. With that being said, I will steer clear of this small overcrowded beach that scares you away from catching a buzz. To confirm my experience was not an isolated incident, some strangers went out of their way to ask me and my girlfriend if we could taste any alcohol in our drinks (we only tasted lime juice). They were also clearly frustrated with the quality of their drinks (Mojitos and pina coladas). These are the drinks I would expect to be spectacular at a tiki bar. Tip to the business owner: people can spend half the money for better quality drinks at equally visually appealing locations. I would have spent more money if my first drinks weren't so poorly made. read more

Tried to go to the beach here with my usual re-usable water canteen and was yelled at by a crazed employee who demanded I purchase plastic water bottles instead. Clearly this establishment cares about the environment (sarcasm)!! All in all this place seemed like it could be cool but then was immediately ruined by angry employees who take their rage out on unsuspecting passers by... I would steer clear of this spot, matey'!! General Manager approached our group that was listening to music and started off by apologizing for being so drunk. Then continued to let us know that she was the General Manager. Followed by acting condensending towards the group. After, she walked to the bar to talk crap about our group to a bartender that was drunk as well. The bartender made a public announcement earlier in the evening she was drunk off too many shots. When it was time to cash out, bartenders charged double the correct amount to one patron and only charged one beverage of the 4 served to another.. My Family and I went to the Tiki bar resort on the 4th of July for a Pontoon boat rental and later for the fireworks.Well upon arrival we checked in at the rental place then went over to our boat that we were renting , proceeded to board the pontoon, then the gentleman who was preparing it for us told us the battery isn't charged enough and blamed the owners for not keeping spare batteries for the pontoons and also said I'm sorry I don't own the place I'm just an employee. Well we went back to the rental area to notify them of the problem and they offered a partial refund and a jet ski to get us back if it died while we took it out.Ok well now were on the water after we managed to get it started and it worked for about 30 minutes or so but kept on dying on us so we drove it back.While back at the dock another pontoon became available, so we took it out thinking awesome they gave us a replacement for our troubles, good right !! NO half way around the lake and the battery on this one also died we had to make a call for them to come and get us.The 1st call we made we waited 30 minutes and no one came so we called again and the lady said I thought it was taken care of already, this time we had someone come and get us and towed us back.They did give us a better refund but not all which is what should have happened with all the crap we dealt with in just 2 hours of being there.The ladies were very nice and I do believe they wanted it to be fun for us but they did not come thru as far as I'm concerned.This place has potential, but I don't think they totally grasp customer service yet. read more

I indifferent on how many stars to rate as I love this BEACH. The bar is a whole different story. I had my bachelorette party here, my girls got all the rentals in order a week ahead, it would have been sooner, but the never return your phone calls (literally took 2 girls 3-4x each to finally schedule something). Get to the resort/bar/beach an hour early. After they pay for the "booze cruise" they are told that the pontoon is broken and they have an alternate boat for us. Don't think much of it, come back in an hour, they don't have any boat for us to go on. And hour and a half later, we see a group take out a pontoon boat, and I approach the lady and ask why we were told about that one (we could've been on the water that whole time). She says that they are two different entities and they don't coincide with each other. This second lady, Kristin from the resort and rental booth, knew exactly who my party was, and tried everything to get us taken care of. Unfortunately they were booked the rest of the day. Another hour goes by, and miraculously the booze cruise boats power steering was fixed. So we jump on, and head on the lake. The whole time the girl is struggling, the power steering was clearly not fixed. At this point we're over it, we're on the lake and drinking. The next week I'm talking to a coworker, and she tells us just about this exact story from tiki bar last summer. One boat was broken, and they brought a different one in (from a local on the lake none the less). So, pretty sure the bar needs to fix their booze cruise. read more

During the day this is a great place to be. It gets a bit crowded but the average patron is pretty patient. At night however, this place turns into any other dive bar. The bartenders here are very unexperienced and because of this do not know how to say no when it comes to cutting people off. There is always going to be a drunk that doesn't need much to get mad but to continue to serve people who can barely stand is a great way to ruin everyone's good time. read more

Not a tropical island resort but it sure feels like one while you're there! Keep an open mind. The sand is great and palm trees add the right atmosphere and makes you forget you're in WI. Family friendly with lots of things for kids to do - play ground, games, water inflatables, etc. Food is satisfying and the drinks are cold. Boat rental can definitely be improved if it's something you want to continue. We tried but the boat was not working properly, but we were refunded in full! All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work and if your customer service is on-par you will succeed! read more

Awful, is all I can say about this place. It's very expensive and definitely not worth it. The staff isn't well trained and don't appear to know what's going on. We ordered appetizers and after an hour wait were told that the cook didn't show up and someone else would take over. We finally got our order but the fries were heavily salted with garlic salt. Later we ordered tacos and a burger, everything was barely warm but we were hungry. The kids did enjoy the lake and water floats, for which you pay extra. Unfortunately, so many people were using it that had not paid and were not wearing the required life jackets that we wondered why they charge at all. Also, at $150/night for a cabin you would think that would include use of the water floats. The bathrooms are a whole other story, they hadn't been serviced in 5 days according to the chart on the wall and it showed. No toilet paper in one stall, no soap in the dispenser, no towels and the floors were full of garbage. The beach was nice but not well cleaned up and the garbage cans were overflowing. When I wanted to check out the next morning there was no one around. According to the website, it opens at 9:00 a.m., no one arrived until 10:00. Needless to say, we will not be back, the prices are high, the food and drinks are awful and service is lacking. read more

Their 10 guest, 4 bedroom, 5 bedroom is a little misleading. The two queen beds in their basement are air mattresses place on a frame and for $550/night staying in a nice condo, I do not want to sleep on a single air mattress. So If you're planning a trip with adults, you better call dibs on a bedroom which is 2 bedrooms with a door, otherwise you'll be sleeping on a single air mattress. Another thing, they should have someone professional to come out and spray house to keep spiders away. I've found a spider and every room. read more

This place is an absolute mess. After asking to put our pop-up canopy on the beach for a large group coming out to play, one of the associates said it was fine. Roughly 20 minutes later the GM (Nick) tells us that we can't be in the spot we were in. He offers up the exclusive party area (which was nice) only for us to move all of our stuff and find out it was also promised to another large group. We all made it work. Next, we tried to take part in the $1.50 burger special that was still online at 11:00 am that day. The cashier tells us that they aren't honoring it for this date. After the customer in front of me got angry, the GM told her he would honor hers (and none of the 20 others in line for it.) We then noticed the ad was removed at 11:02 am (shady at best). After much complaining by multiple people in line, the special was extended for the day. This was on top of the fact that none of the men's toilets worked. The women's only had one toilet working. We also found that if you buy all of one type of domestic beer in the beer bucket special, the honor it, but if you put two brands of domestic beer in there, they have a $5 upcharge.
