I did not buy one and find that eBay, Etsy and Amazon have nothing that compares in quality or price. I may have to order one shipped to me in Chicago! The Olde Sanibel Shoppes are a must visit!

The Dad tried to explain to the little girl that the ones they were selling were not the copyrighted version. The saleswoman straight up lied to this father and the child and told them that they are in fact the real ones just so she could make a sale. Absolutely disgusting to scam children. Once upon a Time this was a reliable gift shop.

So they can keep the $8 if it means that much to them but people need to be alerted.

We went to a few different shops similar to this one on the island. Ones selling the tourist-y…read moreitems. This place definitely had the best prices and the employees were friendly. They had a lot to choose from between shirts and shoes, which is what we were looking for. We ended up purchasing quite a bit and went twice. I got a pair of cute Croc sandals, my boyfriend got the sandals he wanted and we got shirts for family members as well as some other items. The shoes were priced very fairly. They were double the price at other stores in the area. Make sure to check the back of your receipt so you can use the discount if you go back. We weren't aware of the discount on the back of our first receipt so we didn't take it with us when we went the second time. Jose checked us out the second time and told us about the discount on the back so we knew for the future. We said we had already been there a few days before and wished we had been told by Massiel so we would have brought the previous receipt with us bc we spend about $100 each time. It would have saved us 15% the second time.

The Shops offer a variety of women clothing stores to suit almost every taste, there are children+toy stores, eateries, a souvenir shop (and not a cheesy one either)- to name a few. While this place isn't flashy with De La Renta, Karan and the like, the clothing stores- for instance, are exclusive in their own tasteful Sanibel way. Some clothing can be too pink and turquoise for me (think of Vineyard Vines), but then there's the other side of Sanibel that's almost clean-cut with a minimalist feel. As was the case when I purchased 3 different minimalist-styled tops from two of the women's clothing stores in the plaza. Parking is a breeze. Grounds are immaculate. Take your time and venture to the 2nd floor also. In the many years hubs and I've been coming to the island, bringing gifts home has always been easy.
