It wasn't too full so we were seated right away. Intended to order apps, drinks, and entree. Got their coconut mojitos! Oh my! Yum! Ask for Waldo to make it! You won't regret it. If you enjoy coconut, you will be pleased with the ratio of taste and alcohol of this drink. Plus they don't jip you in any liquid. They fill your glass to the brim. ONLY GOOD for Spanish speaking people! After visiting this establishment for the first time, my date and I decided to do outdoor dining since the weather was nice and there was less people. THIS WAS A MISTAKE Our server was unable to effectively communicate with us, due to language barriers. It was difficult JUST to place an order. Then after 30 mins we were only given our drinks, although we ordered appetizers. 10 mins later, I saw our server (for the first time since our drinks were delivered 25 mins before) only for ME to inquire about our food and she simply replied '3 mins'. 10 mins later, our appetizer arrived, but 20 mins after that still NOTHING. After being at the establishment for 50 mins, we only received one round of drinks, and a late appetizer. I was VERY disappointed. Then when I spoke to a manager, she nonchalantly told us their printer had broken sometime in the night, causing the delay. Never going back. I called two weeks in advance to ask if they would play the UFC fight and they said yes and I got reservations to sit in their lounge where they said they would play the fight. I asked if I could eat dinner in the lounge and they said sure they would give me a good spot since I'm calling so in advance. My boyfriend and I arrive and they give us the worst seat which is right by the door where the bouncer is checking IDs and there's a constant draft and you can barely put Two plates on the table they gave us. Once we are there they couldn't originally find us the reservation we made and then they tell us that oh no they aren't playing UFC fight. After they said they would. Then they go ahead and overcharge us for drinks including an extra drink that we never had. They included gratuity Instantly on the check with all the errors of overcharging for drinks and charging for drinks we did not have. And they still wanted me to pay an additional tip on top of all of that. I would never go back to this mismanaged bar. read more

Let's get my pet peeve out the way before I really begin my review...how is this place called the Mojito Lounge when they don't have a Mojito menu....JUST SAYING! Mojito's is a place in Elizabeth I enjoy. While my first time there was just bad the times after including the most recent I enjoyed myself and so did my two friends. We were dressed cute but not fancy. Two of us in jeans cami's and sandals and one in a maxi dress. Mos of the other people there way more dressed up but we didn't care. We of course ordered Mojto's. Those drinks were really strong. One of my friends dropped her drink and spilled all of it as soon as the bartender passed it to here and it was replaced quickly and at no additional charge to us. I could not find the bathroom (3 mojitos into the night) and a bouncer or buffer employee lead me to the ladies room. The crowd was mehh. A lot of younger girls were there. The ratio of girls to guys was crazy in fact lol. Thank Buddha I am spoken for. I wasn't able to help my single friends identify any eligible's so we left about 2 hours later. Started with the passion fruit mojito - it was so good! Would certainly recommend it! Our waiter delivered some freshly toasted bread with olive oil dip - with crushed olives. Bam - mind blown. If you're an olive lover - this is life. I ordered the skirt steak with tostones y yuca -- freaken flawless. My fireman ordered the garlic shrimp with tuna steak. We both thought that thee shrimp was great but the tuna didn't smell too fresh - just our opinion though. For dessert, I had the tres leches cake. The first floor is a bar and the second, a Cuban restaurant. They offer a lunch menu priced between 9 to 15 dollars. The dinner menu's a little price but the setting and what's offered are good. The food is good to excellent. I am not really into Cuban style food but their burgers and pasta are exceptional. It is usually very quite with only a few customers during the lunch time. We had a pleasurable experience here. A group of 7 and we were seated at a lovely table. The restaurant ambiance seems elevated from the start, it is quite large of a space and the menus are bound in leather ;). The food was tasty. We have been here several times with different groups of friends and we all agree that is is awesome. Headed back tonight for my bday dinner with my parents. I am hoping they love it like we do. It was our first time at Mojito on a Saturday night, group of 5 ladies. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The upstairs dining area is loud but bearable. Mojitos were really good. The food was delish. For app, we tried the Mojito Sampler. This was very tasty minus the Calamari. We all felt was chewy and had a very strong "fish" flavor. Dinner we had the Rabo Encendido, Ropa Vieja and Shrimp Enchilados. The Rabo was great and extra tender. Ropa Vieja and Shrimp Enchilados were both excellent. The Churrasco however lacked flavor and spice. After dinner around 1130pm, we headed downstairs to the lounge which was already in full party mode. The lounge was rather small and overly crowded, like extremely "fire-hazzard" crowded. The crowd ranged from early 20's to 40's and while some people looked very nice and dressed up, others had jeans and sneakers. Not even clean, nice sneakers at that. The music was great for dancing but there was absolutely no where to dance. The "dance floor" was obselete and everyone was literally standing over each other. There was what seemed like a "VIP" section the size of a long closet with lounge sofas off to the side and the DJ was smack in the middle of that section. The air was thick and heavy and at some point I became a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people twerking around me and decided to call it quits 45 minutes after we got there. Was here Saturday night for my boyfriends birthday with about 10 people. Service people were nice but all over the place, no one knew whos food was for who, drinks took forever to get (we could see them just sitting at the bar and no one was bringing them to the table) we ordered dessert and also saw it just sitting at the bar with a candle in it and had to ask someone to bring it over already. The food was okay but everyone's rice was just terrible, it threw off the whole meal. It literally tasted as if it came straight out of a box, SO dry and flavorless. No one from our entire party ate their rice it was that un edible. We even heard other people in the restaurant complaining about it.
