Server was great. Issue is they have a 5 card poker machine that doesnt pay out 1. They have a sign saying amusement only on the very bottom of the machine. 2. They saw me putting money in and literally exchanged money for me to put in $40 total 3. The bill acceptor was not taped off 4. They have the machine locked I told them i put money in and they pretty much said o no its for entertainment only. I asked if they could open the machine, they said they dont have the key for it. I then ask if they could give me the person with the lock's number and tall young guy proceeds to say, "there's a big ass sign there" essentially telling me to piss off. On the hunt for a reasonable priced steak frites, my boyfriend and I came across Ralph's. We parked across the street and since there weren't any big games going on at the time, there were only a couple other parties at the place. We ordered the steak frites, crispy avocado bites, and broccoli rabe and chicken sausage ravioli. We enjoyed the avocado bites, but my boyfriend noted that the chipotle mayo was more mayo than chipotle. He requested that the steak frites be cooked medium, but to our disappointment, we found that it was nearly well done. My ravioli wasn't bad, but it would have been made better with some cheese in the filling. Overall, Ralph's had decent food and I would consider returning to try some of their drinks! read more

Debating where to eat and craving steak, my girlfriend found Ralph's Sports Bar as an option since they offered steak frites. Once we arrived, we noticed the bar was pretty empty, with only one other person inside. It had the typical look of a standard sports bar. After being seated, we looked over the menu and decided to order the avocado wedges, steak frites, and chicken sausage ravioli. The avocado wedges were decent, but the chipotle mayo they came with tasted more like plain mayo, which was a bit disappointing. I ordered the steak frites, but unfortunately, even though I requested it medium, it was basically cooked to well done. My girlfriend had the chicken sausage ravioli, which she enjoyed. Not because of the place, but because the match was highly depressing lol I'm baffled about reviews of subpar food, as ours were amazing. We got the sampling platter and then the arancini balls; all of which were absolutely tasty and amazing! One of the best mac & cheeses I've had! Well, my wife and friend went to try this out. They are rated as having the best burger in Staten Island. They came back and were happy with the food and the attention given by the owner Ralph. This past Sunday we decided to go over to Ralph's. The location is 5 minutes off of Hylan Blvd., and it's well worth the travel. We started with calamari and Nona's excellent meatballs. The staff service is fast and friendly. The owner Ralph, came over a few times to check on us and made us feel at home. We then got our orders, I wanted to try the Smash burger, only because this was the dish that won them the award as best burger. I met Ralph almost two years ago at a mutual organization we belong to. He invited me to try the food at his bar/restaurant. Not only did I enjoy it enough to return with other friends but I have been back several times and chose to celebrate my 65th birthday and 5 years of continuous sobriety there by having a private party and inviting my closest friends and family to my THANK YOU party. To say it was outstanding is a gross understatement. I have been there several times since as recently as Wednesday the 17th of April. His staff is friendly, competent and extremely engaging. I went to a surprise birthday party here and it was a blast. The space is nice and clean and the rice balls are delicious!! My main compliment, though, would have to be this one waitress. I don't remember her name but she was working the birthday party on 1/13/24. She had blonde hair in a ponytail. Anyway, I mostly sat by myself because I didn't know many people at the party and I'm anxious, but she never forgot me! Wifey and I entered Saturday night and we were greeted warmly. Temperature taken and contact tracing info taken. You enter into a ramp leading to the dining room with a bar in the rear. A bunch of large TVs playing local sports adorned the walls. Ralph, the owner greeted us shortly after we sat. We had pork tacos and a filet mignon sandwich. Waitress asked us if we wanted fries or onion rings and when she noticed we were undecided, offered to give us a mixture of both! First time here to see a friends band play and it's a regular sports bar changed over from a cooking school/restaurant. It's not a bad place for a three piece band but for a five there's really no room. For some reason they put the band next to a pizza oven. So whoever is on the left side gets roasted while you play. Far as the food goes which is starting to become a trend is ridiculously high prices for bar food where most of it is deep fried. Don't get me wrong it's good and all when you want a bite while drinking but 27 bucks for a sampler platter is a bit nuts. We had chicken fingers which were smaller versions of cutlets but for 11 bucks wasn't bad came with sauce for dipping and onion rings for a I think around the same price. Parking is non existent as there's outdoor seating in the parking spots . So we had to park across the street at the bank and walk a block. I'd come again to see a band play but may want to eat before coming here. read more

Everything about our dinner tonight was perfect. We were greeted by the owner, were checked on throughout the meal by the friendly and attentive staff and the food was amazing. My boyfriend started with the potato leek soup and I started with the French onion soup. Both were delicious. For dinner he had the lamb chops and I had the filet mignon, both done rare and both cooked absolutely perfectly. A lot of restaurants will give me a medium rare steak instead of rare but Ralph's Sports Bar cooked it exactly as I wanted it. We topped our meal off with the brownie sundae which was just as delicious as everything else. Our waitress, Anna, was on top of everything and Ralph, Louise and the other staff all came by to check on us throughout the evening. It was like having a delicious dinner at friend's house. What a great new place! Went here last night for drinks and dinner with friends and their children. Great to eat out under the stars, vibe is great, reminiscent of a place where everybody knows your name. A comfortable relaxed atmosphere with high end food. We started with some of the signature cocktails, Bourbon Smash and Lemon Ice Drop, both incredibly tasty. Food was excellent, we had the KC pork chop, lamp chops, calamari and mozzarella sticks (these are not your everyday mozzarella sticks) and everything was delicious. For desert we had the bread pudding, pana cota and the triple crown pastry stuffed with chocolate, absolutely incredible.
