We asked them to convert carpet to laminate and the original estimate was about $3000. They ordered the material WITHOUT viewing our house first. After ordering it, we had to contact them multiple times to see if anything was being done and that was the only time that the project moved forward. After the material arrived, the contractors (that they hired) said they couldn't get started because BG Hardwood should have came to see the house before ordering the materials. This is when the estimate more than doubled to a total of $7000 because they said we never told them we had stairs (my wife confirms we told them this). New materials were ordered with us having to call and check the status almost daily.
