The store hasn't changed much over the year and neither have the style. It's mostly office casual with the occasional piece that says 'suitable for a lunch date'. Most days the store is clean with all pieces nicely displayed. There's no confusion on what you're looking at unless you're looking at the clearance section. That rack is usually a mess and a half with random sizing every where. That being said, you can easily find some good finds with items being at least 50% off. As for the quality, I would say it's decent... you wont find luxury materials or really nice tailoring. It has a super reasonable price point (sweaters start from $40 and can hit upwards to $55) and I wouldn't expect merino wool. Things do fit a little generously. I think most pieces benefit from layering. A tank here, a cardigan here, a belt, and a cute longer skirt to match. And there you have your basic office attire. As for service, I've found this more miss than hit... no rudeness but apathy may best describe most of the staff. They do acknowledge you as you walk in. For those people who are looking good basics, I feel RW&Co is a decent spot to establish your closets without burning through your first pay cheque. Especially if you're shopping during the sale time frame. Best to check at the end of the seasons and you may score some really good deals.

They also do a 25% off on your birthday offer so be sure to sign up before your bday! In August/September they also do a deal for teachers purchasing clothes. Again it's somewhere in the 20-25% off range. They've started selling silver brand jeans and Kenneth Cole items in the store, so it may be the start of including more name brand pieces in their collections. It's in a bit of a strip kind of mall with a full parking lot off to the side; no street parking - thank God! First, I must say, I'm not a huge fan of the brand because it's always been very matronly/older lady styles but I could always use office clothes at a decent price. A former colleague (older lady) used to go to the outlet in Vaughan and come back and bragged about getting five items for $120; maybe because this location is The Kingsway so it's far from those prices. It's very neat and organized inside with a lot of sales people vying for business. Some clothing was 50% off but it still wasn't cheap; a lot of regular priced items too. I went to get a nice charcoal grey skirt but I realized at $89 (not on sale) so I just passed because I knew I could get it something else for less money. I did end up getting an asymmetrical skirt by Nine West (pic doesn't do it justice) for $37 taxes in (regular ticketed price was $89); since it was clearance, no refunds. I will definitely go back but, to reiterate, no rock bottom prices.

My old sneakers were the most comfy shoes I've owned. I can walk miles on the Vegas Strip with those pair of Nike shoes without my feet hurting. It's old, it's got holes, not on the soles but the sides, I didn't care... but I agreed with the hubby only because I am not able to dry them from the boat tour at The Niagara Falls. It was soaking wet. The store is huge. All the shoes are displayed out on the floor so if you like a pair but it's not your size then you're out of luck. The aisles were in sections by gender first then size. Clearance means not the latest model shoes so don't expect the latest here. The store was organized and neat. I noticed that all the shoes are on the shelves and not strewn down messy on the floor. Eventually, I found a pair of shoes. It wasn't love at first sight but I guess it'll grow on me eventually. There was Payless, which would be cheap, but maybe not the best selection. I remember hearing that DSW had opened some locations in Canada, so I figured I'd go with a store that I'm familiar with. So this place is precisely what like any other DSW is in the US. Men's shoes on the left, Ladies' on the right, clearance racks in the back, and various accessories and such all over. So if you've been to a DSW in the US, you know what you're looking for. Now, perhaps the expectation for some people is that "D" stands for Discount. This is sort of true and sort of not. If you want a deal, you look in the clearance racks. For the most part what is good about DSW is the variety of options and price ranges. It's not a warehouse full of cheap shoes. I ended up spending a good half hour looking for a pair that would feel good and look good with what I was wearing, and I made it out of the store for under $30 for a decent pair of shoes. So 3 stars for a bog-standard DSW experience. I was a little bit disappointed that my DSW card doesn't transfer across the border, that was a little disappointing considering other cards (like Costco) do. I don't want a separate card, I want the one I have to work!
