It's not a space, but there are a handful of tables and seating for ~20. Unless you're early, or it's a weekday, be prepared to get your coffee and goodies to go. The coffee is definitely top notch, but it's the baked goods that really wow-ed me. The croissant and pain au chocolat that I had (on two separate occasions, I'm not THAT much of a glutton) were some of the best I've ever had - with wildly flakey, airy and buttery pastry. The pain au chocolat impressed all the more, as any time you put something inside a croissant, it can affect how the pastry cooks, but the bakers at Rise know what's up, and this was no limp, soggy pastry. If you're at this end of PEC, you've gotta be starting your days here, refueling here, or whatever reason you need - Rise is *the* cafe you want to be at.

You can actually go inside the apple and climb to the top for a view of the entire area. There are also stalls in the front selling fresh apples and produce, restaurants and cafes, boutique shops selling fresh fudge and cider. They also have a bunch of family attractions like mini golf, rides, and a petting zoo. Perhaps, what they are most known for is their bakery selling fresh apple pies, apple bread, cider, fritters and variety of seasonal baked goods. There is also an open-kitchen display window so you can watch how they bake their products. We decided to eat at the smoke house restaurant. A full rack of ribs, fries and a blooming onion costed $55. The ribs were flavorful and tender but I thought fries and onion were just very average and overpriced. I would skip those next time. Since I was watching my sugar intake, I skipped out on the more popular items and opted for a few scones and muffins for the drive back home. The scones were so rich, buttery and very crumbly on the outside with a dense interior. It was so savory and delicious. The muffins were very good as well and to my surprise wasn't too sweet. This was such a charming little town. I would definitely come back again next time I drive eastward. I think their bakery items are really good and were very reasonable in price. I'll try their famous apple fritter and apple bread next time I come back.

I was surprised by the number of options on offer, and though I initially planned to get a hot dog, I find it difficult to say no to a Grilled Reuben Sandwich ("served with fries"). It was ready pretty quickly and it was...fine? The bread was insanely greasy and the meat was a little rubbery, while the dressing was so sparingly applied it was basically non-existent. So yeah, I can't say it was among the best Reubens I've ever had. The meal was redeemed, however, with a slice of apple pie. Said pie was actually quite delicious; the plentiful apple pieces were so tasty, and the pie itself was super flavorful and not too sweet. It's good stuff. I think I'll stick with the apple pie on future visits to The Big Apple.

I managed to get here before closing once and the sub was pretty good. Friendly staff and well made. Tim Hortons is standard and I'm not sure if they do TimRewards. A&W seemed very pricey so I skipped it. Washrooms were clean when I was there. Not the best EnRoute, but not the worst I suppose!

This is the second last Onroute service stop before Toronto along Highway 401 from points east…read more (The last stop is Onroute Newcastle.) It has washrooms, food options (Tim Hortons, A&W, Popeyes and Onmarket (a convenience store that sells prepackaged foods, among other items, including gift cards, you know, last minute gift for those you are visiting? Lol)), a CIBC ATM, and of course, gas (Canadian Tire brand). There used to be a Pizza Pizza here, but it's now a Popeye's Chicken. So don't expect any pizza at this location, lol. It's similar to other Onroute locations. I actually miss the days when the service stops were all a little different, but ever since they were branded Onroute, they are all cookie cutter like. I personally like it when locations have their own personality, like subway stations in Toronto and Montreal, they are all different. LRT stations in Ottawa are all the same, boring! Onroutes are mostly all the same too, boring!

The coffee was strong, food was made fresh, and the portion sizes were great. There is also a selection of pastries and speciality coffees. The cafe has a cute interior, with plenty of seating and a small patio. The only negative was that the service was a bit slow; I wouldn't go here if you're in a rush.

All came with fries. About another 40 mins later, the BLT sandwich came with barely a hand full of fries. The sandwich was warm and partly cold fries. The BLT sandwich was $ 15.00. The wraps came...barely a hand full of fries. My wrap did not have the fries since they were still being cooked. Each Wrap was about $ 17.00. We ate so fast because we were soo hungry, asked for our bill, which was over $ 80.00!! Even when paid for the bill, I had to remind the server about my missing fries. She brought them in a takeout container with again barely a hand full of fries. We would not go back again as we had just stayed at Isiah Tubbs Resort. Not recommended. We've come here three times now during our stay in Prince Edward County (my mom and step dad rented a cottage in nearby Cherry Valley for the month of July). I've tried their iced decaf Americanos (hit the spot) and on the most recent visit, their peanut butter confetti bar (which was delicious). They also have a Gelato counter, with lots of tasty looking flavours, baked goods, a small menu of mostly sandwiches, and a curated selection of food stuffs. A nice place to stop in to grab a beverage or light bite!
