Both baristas advised that the debit machine was down, but all other payments were fine. That's perfect for me, as I tend to pay using my Starbucks card. However, when they try to load said minimum, it doesn't work on one particular card (looks like evergreen branches, & you can hang it on your tree)! The barista patiently tried several different methods to upload the base minimum, but it just would not take! Personally, I believe these cards are U.S.-based, and needed the equivalent in CDN$$, but nowhere does it indicate that. Another, different gift card did work, at a lesser minimum. Oh well! The barista believes these cards were improperly labelled, and she will follow up with head office. Furthermore, on the stellar service front, the barista recommended toasting the Smokey bacon sandwich open face, for improved taste experience. Well done, Starbucks!!
