They still sell bubble tea and mochi donuts, but they also sell other fun drinks like dragon fruit latte, butterfly pea flower latte and ube matcha latte. Oh and Vietnamese egg coffee (which I still have never had). They also sell croffles, banh mi and panini. I've tried several items at Casa Bonita and they were all great. Their mochi donuts are excellent. They have a slightly chewier texture than regular donuts, which I like. Their strawberry cream cheese danish is also good. Lots of filling. The cream cheese is smooth and creamy. Their plain croissant was okay, but I preferred their less boring options. Lol. Their mochi donuts are $4.99. Pastries are around $5, cake slices are around $9 and croffles range from $10-$12. Service is very friendly and welcoming. The space is large with lots of seating. A great place to hang out with friends. Maybe one of these days I will finally try some Vietnamese egg coffee and I feel I might as well keep up with the theme and pair it with a banh mi, right? Lol. Decor is a mix of sleek glass, stone like counters and more industrial style walls. It works. There is a nice selection of pastries. There was a steady stream of people coming in while we enjoyed our coffee. My coffee was well made.

The Long Version: BB Cafe started out in The Greater Toronto Area in 2009 and they have 6 cafe locations in The GTA (plus they sell their items at Kourosh Supermarket). This newest location in Ottawa opened in March 2025 and is their first foray outside of the GTA. It's in the Bleeker Mall, which admittedly is not the most glamourous place, lol, but they've renovated the inside nicely and the interior is quite pretty. They have crocheted Monstera plants on their tables. I think they are for sale because they had a $17 price tag on them, lol. I got a piece of Napoleon pastry ($8.50) to try. They have a custard version and a whipped cream version. I opted for the custard one. The pastry was aesthetically pleasing with some dried rose petals on top. The taste was ok, but the phyllo was chewy. It didn't have the crispiness that I like with Napoleon pastries. I am open to trying their other items in the future to see if they'll be fresher. It's a nice place to hang out and catch up with friends or for a date. They sell sandwiches and baked goods and they also have coffee, tea and specialty drinks. They have this cool dessert called Trompe L'oeil (which is a French term for optical illusion, it translates literally to "trick the eye"). They have a mango one and a pistachio one (they are $9.99 each). I got the mango one and it literally looks like a mango but is actually a cake. It's like a white chocolate on the outside and mango mousse with real mango chunks on the inside. It's not only beautiful but also delicious. I highly recommend it. I've also tried the cranberry orange scone ($4.99) and it's good too. It's not as fluffy as some scones I've had, but still tasty. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The cafe recently opened November 1, 2025. It's linked with eXp Realty and Brokerage (notice how its an upper case X and lower case e and p is the same as the name of the cafe? I had actually never been to any Timothy's locations before, and this was my first time. Any time I ever order a mocha, it's always at Tim Horton's. I'm used to the whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles they put on top, which make the drink incredibly sweet. The only problem is that a small at Tim Horton's is REALLY small, while the small at Timothy's is a pretty good size. I was a little disappointed because of the taste. Timothy's mochas are a little bitter and quite strong. I'm not used to drinking coffee, so my stomach began to hurt and I couldn't really finish the cup. It's a nice change from Tim Horton's, though, and next time I'll be sure to grab one of their sandwiches to ease my tummy.

They serve coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, pastries and squares. They share their space with The Niche Ottawa Gallery which showcases art from Ottawan artists. The cafe is eclectic and has a cozy community feel to it. I like it. I got 2 sandwiches there. Their sandwiches are actually from Lunchbox (which has a location close by in Orleans and a newly opened one in Hintonburg). I got a BLT and a Chickpea Salad sandwich. Both were very good. I had a bite of each. My dad loved the Chickpea Salad sandwich. He said it was interesting and different from other sandwiches that he's had. It was chickpeas mixed with corn in a mayo sauce with a hint of curry. It had some greens and fresh herbs in it too. The BLT had the usual bacon, lettuce and tomato, but also a special sauce in it, that made it unique. My mom liked the BLT sandwich. What a great discovery!
