John was collaborative, shared ideas, and helped me think through options I wouldn't have considered on my own. Leading up to the install, I had a lot of questions, and he took the time to answer everything clearly and patiently (lol)...never making me feel dumb or like I was asking too much. Communication was solid the entire time, the work was done as promised, and I am really happy with how everything turned out. Right in the middle of the remodel, I had to leave on a work trip and I didn't hesitate to give them access to the house so they could finish on time (they actually finished a couple of days early). If you're looking for a remodeling company that knows their stuff and is genuinely easy to work with, I'd definitely recommend Complete Construction for your remodeling needs.

We contacted Marc off of a friend recommendation and we were not disappointed. He was prompt in returning calls, professional in all contacts, reasonably priced, reliable in completing work, and knowledgeable about where the failure of old pan occurred and how to fix it. While tiling the upstairs master floor, we ran into evidence of the master show pan failure too. Marc was very understanding and flexible in working with us while we followed up with the insurance. I wish the insurance was as easy to work with as Marc! Marc's team was quick to finish once we gave him the go ahead and now that we have our next project already identified for us, we'd use him again!

They brought me into their showroom where they showed me a virtual design of my room and worked with me, showing me different options that were available to me and allowing me to tweet the design to my liking. They also have a fair amount of selection of plumbing fixtures, flooring, sinks, cabinets, etc. DR Design did a fairly good job quality wise, if I had to nitpick the tile floor and some of the grout was a little subpar in that the spacing on the grout isn't even and the floor tiles don't feel great under your feet. I did have a couple of small issues to which they came back and repaired without issue.

The latest development is that the caulking is failing at the base of the 'Best Bath.' -The lighting was supposed to be better than what I had. The new lighting is dimmer. -Change order not approved by me before whatever modifications were made to the medicine cabinet. Is that even legal? It HAD to be a way to make a couple hundred extra dollars on my project. -A refund for a nominal amount, for something I was overcharged for, was promised to me on the day the final work was completed. I did say no no no thats ok. I mean, I never say no to a refund. But I did, partly because it was an insignificant amount when paying tens of thousands of dollars. But mostly, I knew Robert would forget anyway. He was so insistent. My hunch was correct, he forgot. -The last screw for the robe hook was missing for weeks. Chris spent an hour, no exaggeration, trying to screw one screw in. He went to his car three times, and I had to call him back in each time to tell him it was still loose. Luckily, he hadn't left. -The countertop. All I'll say is the next time I'll pick out the slab, instead of looking at a small sample. - Caulking failure, described above. Should caulking fail in less than three months? I have a hallway bathroom, and a kitchen that are due to be gutted. I had hoped to continue a working relationship with DR Design. Time to look on YELP for a different contractor. **** I want to correct a statement from the business owner Debbie P... I received a change order in the app for the medicine cabinet modification. Alarmed, since I'm on-site, and available to speak to I went into the bathroom to talk to the installers, and they stated they had already modified the medicine cabinet. I then called Robert, not the other way around. Robert apologized for not speaking to me before the modification was made. No conversation took place beforehand and no signature. Surely, not legal, good thing I'm not litigious. Its also notable that only a few of the items I described in my review were addressed by the business owner, no mention of the refund. Are our projects audited internally?

Throughout the process, he walked us through the details and kept us updated on progress. We had purchased a detailed mosaic tile that required a lot of small cuts and David handled it like a pro! He also removed our 6 in backsplash before installing the mosaic tile. We are very satisfied with his work and would hire him again for any future tile projects.

I would like to point out that our job was an insurance claim, all the contractors were assigned by the insurance company. The only contractor we hired ourselves was S & D! Notably, you can see that my review never commented on the quality of work that his crew completed. They did a good job. The problem was the owner, who refused to communicate with us. We hired S & D in March... and due to the owners lack of response to our messages and calls, our job was not completed until the end of June. I would say, if you want to work with a company that refuses to return your calls or messages, then S & D is the company for you.

He then worked through several layouts with us to get the best design and best use of the slabs. We live three hours away from his shop and he said he would bring our remnants, make some cutting boards and a backsplash for our larder pantry. On Jan 28th, the crew arrived in a timely fashion and worked all day installing our slab. We bought them pizza and we were very pleased with the craftsmanship. The mitered edges and seams looked great! His crew was polite and knowledgeable. However, when questioned about the remnants(from two slabs), cutting boards (2x) and larder pantry backsplash, one guy said they were not cut yet. They said they'd be in this area again the following week and could bring them. We withheld payment. Steve contacted us the next morning at 7 am demanding payment and insisting the remnants had been thrown away. When challenged, (he was supposed to use the sink cutout for cutting boards), he backpedaled and said they cut into them and he'd send us pictures so we could see what he was talking about. He never sent us pictures. Then he said he would use remnants from a similar slab and deliver them to us. Begrudgingly, we paid him. Then, crickets. My husband called him for over a week and he wouldn't answer. Finally, we used someone else's phone and he picked up right away. He stated he didn't answer my husband's calls because his whole crew had been out sick (but willing to answer a different number?) We continued to call him once a week, and then daily. We started texting, and he was short and seemed angry, insisting we were getting the pantry backsplash and cutting boards for free. He agreed to do it with the slabs we had paid for. I value integrity and honesty and expect people to stick to their word. He finally had one cutting board (about 8 1/2x11 in) and the pantry backsplash delivered on March 19th and we never heard another word. My feeling about this experience--we worked exceptionally hard as the customer to get the service and product we agreed to. I felt like there was dishonesty along the way and our remnants got legs and took a hike. It's unfortunate because the craftsmanship of Steve and his crew is impressive, but I wouldn't feel comfortable referring him to a family or friend based on our experience, particularly when there was multiple opportunities to make it right.

They have an archaic adjustable design that is more complicated than can be seen in the picture. He also made a corbel to replace a missing one. He then assembled and attached them to the wall. His work is exquisite! Nobody knows stains and finishes like Michael. You can just see and feel the superior richness and quality. He did equally skilled work on our mantle and TV nook. See pictures!
